"I don't think we're closing the door on anything," Heckert said at the NFL Scouting Combine. "We're not shutting the door on moving up or even moving back. We're listening to a lot of different teams. It's still early. We have talked to teams about moving up and moving back. We're not closing the door on any position."

I think I had a chance to show that in the Senior Bowl and I think I'm going to show that Sunday (Feb. 28) when we go out and do these drills. I'm definitely going to show them I'm a lot faster than most people think. I'm definitely going to shock some people with that. When it's all over with I think they're going to say, 'Ben Tate is the most complete running back in this draft class.'"

Now, a lot of teams aren't really talking about the weight or height situation. A lot of them are saying, 'We really don't care. You're a playmaker. You play football, so that's what you do. Your game speaks for itself.' They see I'm not scared to take on a block, a man-to-man block, and they see that I can make one man miss. Right now I don't think it's such a big issue. It never was an issue for me because it's been that way all my life, always a smaller guy. I had to work that much harder to get better and to prove that there is something different about me."

But would I prefer? I don't know. I've been as big as 330. I've been as small as 290 pounds coming in as a freshman and playing at 295 this season. So I have been in both areas. Which one do I prefer? I like to be between 295 and 300. But if my team wants me to be heavier or where I'm at right now, I'm 307, I think I can play at a heavier weight but put on good weight to be that heavy."

Wisconsin DE/LB O'Brien Schofield (knee) said during the NFL Scouting Combine that his knee is getting better. Schofield suffered a torn ACL and meniscus during one-on-one pass rush drills. Schofield said, "I'm one month out from surgery and I'm really working real hard in rehab back at school in Wisconsin. I've been rehabbing three times a day and just trying to get that thing back." Schofield added, "Honestly, just like the doctor said, six months. But I feel that in four months I'll be able to start doing some things because right now I met with Dr. Andrews yesterday, I'm pretty far ahead of schedule, I'm only a month out and I'm doing a lot. So my goal is if I'm in a mini-camp to be able to do some walkthroughs and if I can jog through some things, be able to do that. My mindset is to be able to go full go but I'm also going to be cautious and do whatever my knee allows me to do."

Kirlew said he has been working on becoming an outside linebacker this offseason. "I feel much more comfortable now learning the scheme and physically going out there and doing those motions."

I'm in the linebacker group but from what I hear, from what my agent said, they're looking at me mostly as a strong safety." Grimm doesn't believe he will have a problem making the transition. "It's not that different. We ran a 4-4 at Virginia Tech so my position was more like the strong safety position than most other linebackers would be. I'm used to playing man to man coverage, out on slots, stuff like that. The only difference is the distance I line up from the ball. Usually the safety would line up 10 yards away and I'd be closer to the line."
