The Green Bay Packers likely will not re-sign unrestricted free-agent RB Ahman Green after drafting RB James Starks, reports Mike Vandermause, of The Green Bay Press-Gazette.


Offensive Tackle

Detroit Lions OT Gosder Cherilus (knee) underwent knee surgery about three weeks ago after he aggravated a knee problem during offseason workouts, reports the Detroit Free Press' Nicholas J. Cotsonika. He is running on a treadmill in a pool and hopes to return to practice as early as late May, according to his agent.


Guard

OG | Jahri Evans | New Orleans Saints | Transaction
The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a seven-year contract with OG Jahri Evans worth $56.7 million, sources have told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Evans will receive $19 million in the first year and $25.7 million the first three seasons. The deal is the most expensive given to a guard in NFL history.


Defensive Line

DL | Antwan Odom | Cincinnati Bengals | Injury
Cincinnati Bengals DT Antwan Odom (Achilles') and FS Chris Crocker (ankle) are not expected to participate when the team begins offseason workouts next week because they likely are still rehabbing, reports Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson.

Atlanta Falcons SS William Moore (pectoral) and DT Jonathan Babineaux (shoulder) will not participate in the team's upcoming minicamp as a precaution, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Neither injury is considered serious.

Updating previous reports, the Cincinnati Bengals will not be signing unrestricted free-agent CB Adam Jones (Cowboys) Wednesday, May 5, but everything is in place for him to sign Thursday, May 6, according to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora.
