Wayne said, "I have tremendous respect for (team owner) Jim Irsay, (team president) Bill Polian and the entire Indianapolis Colts organization, but at this time, we are in disagreement concerning my contract situation. Therefore, I will not be attending this weekend's minicamp. I will continue training diligently in Florida, as I have each offseason since my rookie year, to ensure that I am fully ready for this season. I hope that a fair resolution can be reached in the not-too-distant future that allows me to achieve my goal of playing my entire career with the Indianapolis Colts."

Maualuga said he would be back in a few weeks and expects to be ready for training camp.

LB | Andre Carter | Washington Redskins | Injury
Washington Redskins LB Andre Carter (biceps) participated in the first two days of the team's OTAs this week, reports Jason Reid, of The Washington Post. Carter was not expected to take part in drills until June 16. The team's medical staff has limited Carter's participation. He has taken a maximum of 12 to 16 reps in each OTA, but Carter is eager to increase his workload.
