Carolina Panthers QB Matt Moore (concussion) is expected to be cleared to practice this week and start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2, according to NFL.com's Steve Wyche. Moore is feeling well and communicating fine. He has been listed as day-to-day.

QB | Dennis Dixon | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury, Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said QB Dennis Dixon will remain the starting quarterback in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans, according to The Associated Press. QB Byron Leftwich (knee) may return to practice as early as Wednesday, Sept. 15. Dixon completed 18 of 26 passes for 236 yards and an interception in Week 1.

QB | Tim Tebow | Denver Broncos | Fantasy
Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels said he will not use QB Tim Tebow any differently than he did in Week 1, when Tebow was on the field for three snaps, according to The Associated Press. QB Kyle Orton stayed on the field on the plays that Tebow was a part of. "I don't think I have any desire to do that with Kyle coming off the field, coming on the field, coming off," McDaniels said. "I don't think that's really something that we're looking to do much of. Like I said yesterday after the game, I think our quarterback played pretty well. I think he will play well. (I have) great confidence in his ability to execute what we're doing." McDaniels said he might have used Tebow more if his two carries were more productive.

QB | Matthew Stafford | Detroit Lions | Injury, Fantasy
Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford (shoulder) could be sidelined for only a week or two, reports Tom Kowalksi, of Mlive.com, according to Dr. Stan Sczecienski. Sczecienski, who does not treat Stafford, said during a radio interview that two pieces of information lead him to believe the injury might be a shoulder contusion instead of a separation. One, replays show that Stafford got hit on the side of his shoulder and, two, Stafford himself said there was no injury to the labrum (Sczecienski said injury to the labrum is normally an indication of a separation). Stafford is expected to visit noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews this week for a second opinion.

QB | Derek Anderson | Arizona Cardinals | Injury
Arizona Cardinals QB Derek Anderson (chest), who suffered a chest injury in Week 1, appears to be fine, according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt, reports Bob McManaman, of The Arizona Republic. "He's a tough guy. I have a lot of respect for what Derek did (Sunday)," Whisenhunt said. "He was sore but based on what I've seen ... I don't think that's going to affect him."


Running Back

RB | Brandon Jackson | Green Bay Packers | Fantasy
Green Bay Packers RBs Brandon Jackson and John Kuhn will see more action with RB Ryan Grant (leg, ankle) out for the rest of the season, according to SportingNews.com.

RB | James X. Johnson | Green Bay Packers | Fantasy
Green Bay Packers RB James X. Johnson has been improving in practice and could be activated from the practice squad, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Lori Nickel. "He's coming along," said running backs coach Edgar Bennett. "He's getting better day in and day out and he's come along at a pretty rapid pace." However, Johnson has only been with the Packers for a week, and Green Bay could also look outside the organization. Head coach Mike McCarthy doesn't plan on making a roster decision until the full extent of RB Ryan Grant's (ankle) injury is known.

Arizona Cardinals RB Beanie Wells (knee) should return to practice this week, according to Bob McManaman, of The Arizona Republic.

RB | Tim Hightower | Arizona Cardinals | Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt said he spoke with RB Tim Hightower following Week 1 about securing the football better, according to Bob McManaman, of The Arizona Republic. Hightower fumbled twice in Week 1. "I told him, 'Look, you're going to be faced with this,'" Whisenhunt said. "We won the game, so it makes it a little bit easier to live with, but that's going to be an object ... 'People are going to come after you now and try to strip the ball. You're going to have to work on it and be a pro on how you handle this. It's going to define ultimately where you go from here.'"

RB | Ryan Mathews | San Diego Chargers | Fantasy
San Diego Chargers rookie RB Ryan Mathews said he felt like he could have made a lot of reads better on the field during Week 1. He said he plans to focus on that heading into Week 2. In regards to his lost fumble, he said he should have had two hands on the ball while he was fighting for more yardage.

RB | Shonn Greene | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets RB Shonn Greene fumbled twice during Week 1, losing one of them to the Baltimore Ravens. He finished the game with five carries for 18 yards and one catch for nine yards. He saw limited time after his second fumble.

WR | Dexter McCluster | Kansas City Chiefs | Fantasy
Kansas City Chiefs rookie WR Dexter McCluster had a 94-yard punt return, which is a team record, in a Week 1 win over the San Diego Chargers. McCluster, who was doubtful for the game due to an undisclosed illness, had two receptions for nine yards and one rushing attempt for no yardage.

Baltimore Ravens WR Anquan Boldin led the team with seven catches for 110 yards receiving in his debut with the team.


Tight End

New York Giants TE Kevin Boss (concussion) will undergo tests before being cleared to play Sunday, Sept. 19, after he suffered a concussion in Week 1, reports ESPNNewYork.com's Ohm Youngmisuk. He also suffered a concussion last season, and it "is one of the major concerns," according to head coach Tom Coughlin. Boss' concussion in 2009 came Nov. 26 on Thanksgiving, and he was cleared to play the following week.


Place Kicker

The Carolina Panthers signed free-agent PK Rhys Lloyd (Vikings) to an undisclosed deal Tuesday, Sept. 14, according to The Associated Press.


Offensive Tackle

The Pittsburgh Steelers are not ruling out OTs Max Starks (ankle) or Casey Hampton (hamstring) for Week 2, although it is unlikely that either will play, according to The Associated Press.

Dallas Cowboys OT Marc Colombo (knee) could return to practice this week, reports Jan Hubbard, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "I don't know about optimistic," head coach Wade Phillips said. "There's a possibility certainly. We just have to wait until Wednesday and see what happens."

Green Bay Packers DL Cullen Jenkins (hand) is expected to be able to play the entire game this week, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein. Jenkins only played in about half his usual snaps in Week 1 because of a broken left hand that required him to wear a padded club.

Cornerback

Talib is expected to practice Wednesday, Sept. 15, and will start in Week 2. CB E.J. Biggers, who started in place of Talib in Week 1, will be the starting nickel cornerback.

CB | Brandon Underwood | Green Bay Packers | Injury
Green Bay Packers CB Brandon Underwood (shoulder) will test his injured shoulder Tuesday, Sept. 14, and could return to practice Wednesday, Sept. 15, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein. It is believed Underwood is close to being cleared, and he thinks his injury isn't related to surgery he had in college. Underwood will wear a harness when he returns to practice.

CB | Brandon Flowers | Kansas City Chiefs | Injury
Kansas City Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers (leg) left the team's Week 1 game with a left leg injury but later returned, according to CBSSports.com.


Free Safety

FS | Bob Sanders | Indianapolis Colts | Injury
Indianapolis Colts FS Bob Sanders (biceps) will be examined by Dr. James Andrews Wednesday, Sept. 15, to determine how long he will be out, according to ESPN.com. Sanders' injury is not to the same arm that suffered a biceps tendon tear last year.
