St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford said he believes he would work with the wide receivers during the offseason if there were a lockout so they can work on their chemistry, reports Mike Sando, of ESPN.com. "If there is a lockout, I would imagine me and our wide receivers will have to get together somewhere, whether it be in Oklahoma or somewhere warmer where we can throw outside," Bradford said. "This offseason, it is too important for us not to get together and work out."


Running Back

New Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden said Thursday, Feb. 3, that he wants to "pound the ball," while eluding to free-agent RB Cedric Benson as a "talented free agent," reports Geoff Hobson, of Bengals.com. "We're not going to spread out and go no-huddles every down and throw the ball 65 times a game," Gruden said. "I intend on pounding the ball and being able to pound the ball."

The San Francisco 49ers appear reluctant to use the franchise tag on impending free-agent DT Aubrayo Franklin this offseason because they would owe him either $8.4 million or the designed salary among defensive tackles depending on which is higher, a source told Matt Maiocco, of CSNBayArea.com.
