Miami Dolphins impending free-agent QB Chad Pennington (knee) will need to undergo surgery after injuring his anterior cruciate ligament during a pick-up basketball game, reports Chris Mortensen, of ESPN.

QB | Ryan Mallett | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft, Free Agents
The Seattle Seahawks could be interested in Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett for a couple of reasons, according to Rob Rang, of CBSSports.com. Not only has the team scheduled a visit with Mallett, but general manager John Schneider also attended Mallett's Pro Day workout. This is believed to be the only Pro Day workout Schneider has attended so far this year. Secondly, the Seahawks could be in considerable need of a quarterback after the team attempted to re-sign impending free-agent QB Matt Hasselbeck.

Utah RB Eddie Wide measured 5-foot-10, 197 pounds at his Pro Day Tuesday, March 29, reports Gil Brandt, of NFL.com. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds and 4.52 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.61 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.03 seconds. He also completed 16 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.

RB | Matthew Asiata | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
Utah RB Matthew Asiata ran the short shuttle in 4.39 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.00 seconds at his Pro Day Tuesday, March 29, reports Gil Brandt, of NFL.com. He excelled at catching the ball during his workout.


Wide Receiver

WR | Julio Jones | NFL Draft Prospect | Injury, Draft
Alabama WR Julio Jones (foot) will have his protective boot removed Saturday, April 2, as he tries to ramp up his workout scheduled before the NFL Draft on April 28, reports Matt Crossman and Clifton Brown of SportingNews.com. Jones had surgery March 5 to repair a fracture in his foot, although he competed with the injury at the NFL Scouting Combine.

South Carolina S Chris Culliver, WR Tori Gurley and DL Cliff Matthews worked out in front of personnel from 28 of 32 NFL teams Wednesday, March 30, at South Carolina's Pro Day, reports The Associated Press. Neither of the three players are expected to go in the first round of the NFL Draft.


Tight End

South Carolina TE Weslye Saunders (foot) is scheduled for surgery Friday, April 1, to repair a broken bone in his left foot, reports The Associated Press. Saunders took part in the South Carolina Pro Day Wednesday, March 30, after failing to take part in the NFL Scouting Combine due to injury. The workout was performed in front of personnel from 28 of the 32 NFL teams.


Offensive Tackle

Guard

New York Jets OG Brandon Moore (hip) said the his rehab from hip surgery is going according to plan, reports Jenny Vrentas, of The Star-Ledger. He has been walking, biking and doing strengthening exercises but has not started running. He still expects to be ready for the start of training camp.


Offensive Line

Utah OL Caleb Schlauderaff measured 6-foot-4 5/8, 302 pounds at his Pro Day Tuesday, March 29, reports Gil Brandt, of NFL.com. He measured a 28-inch vertical jump and an 8-foot-6 broad jump. He also participated in position drills during the workout.


Defensive Line
