Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington (knee) is scheduled for knee surgery Thursday, April 7, reports Armando Salguero, of The Miami Herald. Pennington isn't ruling anything out, including playing in 2011.

The Dallas Cowboys are not scheduled to meet with Auburn QB Cam Newton before the 2011 NFL Draft, reports Calvin Watkins, of ESPNDallas.com.

QB | Colin Kaepernick | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
University of Nevada QB Colin Kaepernick said most teams have told him they would not try to alter his throwing motion if they drafted him, reports Matt Barrows, of the Sacramento Bee. Kaepernick has one of the longest wingspans among the quarterback prospects, which makes his motion more drawn out. He has been working on trying to shorten his throws.

Kansas State RB Daniel Thomas ran the 40-yard dash between 4.50 seconds and 4.58 seconds at his Pro Day Tuesday, April 5, a source told Aaron Wilson, of NationalFootballPost.com. Thomas missed his initial Pro Day because of a hamstring injury.

The New Orleans Saints were scheduled to meet with University of Alabama RB Mark Ingram Wednesday, April 6, a source told Mike Triplett, of the New York Daily News.

Free-agent WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Ravens) expressed an interest Tuesday, April 5, in re-signing with the Baltimore Ravens, his 2010 team, reports Ken Murray, of The Baltimore Sun.

WR | Mike X. Williams | Seattle Seahawks | Free Agents, Fantasy
Seattle Seahawks WR Mike X. Williams will have to show up in shape after the lockout is over, or the team can decline to pay a bonus, making him a free agent, reports Adam Caplan, of FOXSports.com. Williams has a $500,000 roster bonus due on the seventh day of the league year, according to league sources.

New York Giants OG Rich Seubert (knee) underwent a procedure similar to microfracture surgery in January, and he is confident he can return for an 11th season, reports Paul Schwartz, of the New York Post.


Offensive Line

Florida OL Mike Pouncey said via Twitter that he expects to be selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL Draft after visiting with the team, according to Gerry Fraley, of The Dallas Morning News. "Headed back to Pittsburgh ... would be shocked if I wasn't in a Dallas uniform next year!" Pouncey said. "The draft is April 28 so we will see ... To all the Steelers fans, I would love to be playing for the Steelers and if I had a choice I would, but it isn't my choice."

DL | Da'Quan Bowers | NFL Draft Prospect | Injury
Clemson DL Da'Quan Bowers (knee) does not need microfracture surgery on his right knee, reports Mary Kay Cabot, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, according to a league source. An earlier report by Pro Football Weekly suggested teams are concerned that Bowers may need the surgery. "No doctor has ever told us that Da'Quan needs micofracture in the future," the source said. Instead, at least one NFL team that's examined Bowers recently has said the knee looks great. Bowers will have the knee checked in Indianapolis Friday, April 8, and Saturday, April 9. There, he'll undergo another MRI to determine how the cartilage is healing.

The Detroit Lions could be interested in University of Washington LB Mason Foster if he is avilable in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, reports Dave Birkett, of the Detroit Free Press. They met with Foster at the NFL Scouting Combine but are not considering having him come to the team's facility.
