Quarterback

QB | Charlie Whitehurst | Seattle Seahawks | Free Agents
Seattle Seahawks QB Charlie Whitehurst is planning on being the team's starting quarterback this upcoming season. Although Whitehurst is the only quarterback under contract, he acknowledges the Seahawks will add a veteran quarterback. "Luckily I'm not going through the free-agent stuff like some guys are going through. I know I'm the only quarterback that's on the roster right now, and I'm sure that will change eventually when we get it figured out. I look at it like I'm going to get the chance to be the starter, and I think I can do it. That's what I plan to do. Whenever we figure it out, I'll compete as hard as I can to make that happen."

QB | Matt Hasselbeck | Seattle Seahawks | Free Agents
Seattle Seahawks TE John Carlson said he hopes impending free-agent QB Matt Hasselbeck re-signs with the team once the lockout is over but is not sure what will happen in that situation.

QB | Tom Brady | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (foot) said his foot is feeling good and has been able to run around some during the player-organized workouts.

Running Back

RB | Darren Sproles | San Diego Chargers | Free Agents
The Washington Redskins are considering some free-agent additions to their backfield to pair with the bodies they currently have. RB Ryan Torain could win the team's starting running back job; however, Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent RB Joseph Addai and San Diego Chargers impending free-agent RB Darren Sproles could be options.

RB | Mark Ingram | New Orleans Saints | Fantasy
New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram is expected to bring power and consistency to the running game and offense. Ingram is considered a legitimate three-down back and a great inside rusher who can blast outside under the right circumstance. His ability to catch and block well will get him plenty of playing time.

RB | Ahman Green | Free Agent | Transaction
Former Green Bay Packers RB Ahman Green was released by the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL Sunday, June 5. A hamstring in training camp set him back. He last played for the Omaha Nighthawks in the UFL in 2010.

RB | Shonn Greene | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said RB Shonn Greene will be the team's primary running back next season and could receive 18 to 20 carries per game. Schottenheimer said the team believes Greene is ready to take the next step in his development. "He's just gotten better year in and year out. His durability this year was outstanding. You just see the confidence in his eyes. His ability to pick up pass protection stuff has been terrific the last couple years. We expect a breakout season from him. He's a guy that's got just huge, huge, huge potential that we think is right there ready for him to grab," Schottenheimer said.

RB | DeAngelo Williams | Carolina Panthers | Free Agents
The Washington Redskins are not expected to be interested in Carolina Panthers impending free-agent RB DeAngelo Williams once free agency begins.

RB | Kevin Faulk | New England Patriots | Free Agents
The New England Patriots could show interest in re-signing impending free-agent RB Kevin Faulk once the lockout is over because of his knowledge of the system as well as his willingness to work with younger players. Faulk would not be guaranteed a spot on the final roster if he re-signed.

Wide Receiver

WR | Limas Sweed | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Limas Sweed likely will have to perform well during the preseason and show that he is recovered from the Achilles' tendon injury he suffered last offseason if he wants to make the final roster. Sweed appears to be the No. 6 wide receiver on the depth chart at this point.

WR | Plaxico Burress | Free Agent | Free Agents
Free-agent WR Plaxico Burress (Giants) will unlikely sign with the Oakland Raiders. He would have to sign for something near the league minimum plus incentives or sell head coach Hue Jackson on the notion he's a changed man and is worth a look.

Tight End

TE | John Carlson | Seattle Seahawks | Injury
Seattle Seahawks TE John Carlson said he is fully recovered from the concussion he suffered in the Divisional Round playoff game against the Chicago Bears. Carlson said he did not have any symptoms a few days after the injury and was cleared to work out about a week later.

TE | Aaron Hernandez | New England Patriots | Injury
Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez (hip) was seen running at full speed during the player-organized workouts last week.

Defensive Line

DL | Jason Babin | Tennessee Titans | Free Agents
The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to show interest in Tennessee Titans impending free-agent DE Jason Babin once free agency begins but the Eagles may not be able to give him the role he would want.

Linebacker

LB | Matt Roth | Cleveland Browns | Free Agents
Cleveland Browns impending free-agent LB Matt Roth does not expect to be retained by the team once the lockout ends. Roth prefers to operate in a 3-4 defensive scheme and the Browns will implement a 4-3 scheme under new defensive coordinator Dick Jauron. "Right now I kind of like the 3-4," Roth said. "I feel the Browns are on the right track. But going into my seventh season, I want to play for a winner. I do feel the Browns are right there. They've done a good job. I'm not sure what's going to happen."

Cornerback

CB | Ellis Hobbs | Free Agent | Injury, Free Agents
Free-agent CB Ellis Hobbs (Eagles) said he hasn't made any firm decision with regard to his playing future. After suffering a serious neck injury that ended his season and required surgery, there were reports Hobbs planned on retiring. "All I'm doing is relaxing," Hobbs said. "Because of the lockout, it's just giving me extra time to work on other things. But none of the doctors have said I need to shut it down, I need to stop playing. I myself haven't even thought about that, or going that route. I've weighed both sides of it, and I'm pretty comfortable where I am right now."
