Indianapolis Colts vice chairman Bill Polian said during a television interview that QB Peyton Manning's (neck) outlook is positive and that he will return to the field. However, Polian could not issue a target date for Manning's return. "It's positive (outlook) ... He is going to be back at some point," Polian said. "What we don't know right now is what the results of the diagnostic tests are, what is the prognosis going forward. This is uncharted territory, but we do know that the nerve regeneration takes time and it just hasn't healed yet. It will."

QB | Joe Webb | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said he would like to use QB Joe Webb in some capacity, even if it is not as a quarterback. There has been speculation since Webb arrived the Vikings might use him as a "wildcat" quarterback in certain situations, too. "He's a tremendous talent. So, we're exploring some options, and it's just a matter of whether we want to do it now or two weeks from now, three weeks from now, but we want to utilize his gifts," Frazier said.

"Miles works real hard, cares about the game. He has a great head on his shoulder and has a great feel for the game. I suspect he'll be ready to roll come Sunday night."

QB | Tyrod Taylor | Baltimore Ravens | Injury
Baltimore Ravens QB Tyrod Taylor (shoulder) was able to return to practice Monday, Sept. 5. He bruised his left shoulder in the preseason finale, but an MRI showed just a contusion to his non-throwing shoulder. He said he is available, if needed, in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

QB | Matt Cassel | Kansas City Chiefs | Injury, Fantasy
Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel (rib) practiced Monday, Sept. 5, and declared himself ready after the session. "I'm good," Cassel said. "I'm ready to roll." Head coach Todd Haley was more guarded. "I won't talk about any of those things," Haley said. "I'm assuming. He was out there at practice. He was moving around. I thought he did a good job."

"The only way I see them doing that is getting them as equal of work as a I possibly can."

Oakland Raiders head coach Hue Jackson is not yet ready to name his starting wide receivers for Week 1. Based on performance in practice and preseason games, it appears clear that rookie WR Denarius Moore and WR Derek Hagan deserve to start. Jackson did add it is imperative to find ways to get Moore the football. "Let him catch balls," Jackson said. "That's what he does. He catches footballs. Put him in position to make plays. That's what you do. You take all this talent that we have. You got to take all these guys and give them opportunities to make plays in games. And he's done it, and he's one of the guys that knows how, so we'll give him opportunities to do so."
