QB | Mark Sanchez | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous report, New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez (nose) said Tuesday, Sept. 27, that he has already been cleared to practice this week without limitations. "It feels a lot better now, and we'll just worry about it after the season," Sanchez said.

QB | Dan Orlovsky | Indianapolis Colts | Transaction, Free Agents
Updating a previous report, the Indianapolis Colts re-signed free-agent QB Dan Orlovsky (Colts) Tuesday, Sept. 27.

QB | Michael Vick | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury, Fantasy
Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick (hand) is likely to play in the team's Week 4 game against the San Francisco 49ers. However, it will all depend on whether the swelling in his bruised hand goes down.

QB | Peyton Manning | Indianapolis Colts | Injury, Fantasy
The Indianapolis Colts will not place QB Peyton Manning (neck) on Injured Reserve because he still has an outside chance at returning this season. "He's exercising. He's doing a lot more than he did a week ago. The bottom line is nothing has changed and he will have some examinations and tests down the line, quite a little while from now. It's not imminent," vice chairman Bill Polian said.

Running Back

RB | Jalen Parmele | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Jacksonville Jaguars worked out free-agent RB Jalen Parmele (Ravens) Tuesday, Sept. 27.

RB | Steve Slaton | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Arizona Cardinals are unlikely to pursue free-agent RB Steve Slaton (Texans).

RB | Adrian Peterson | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier has vowed to focus this week on ensuring that RB Adrian Peterson remains an integral part of the offense in second halves. In Week 3, he had 12 carries for 73 yards in the first half but had only five carries in the second half. "I have to remind myself of this: Even if Adrian gets stopped for negative gain or two yards because they've got so many people at the line of scrimmage, he's such a great player that even against eight-man fronts he can still make something happen," Frazier said. "You can't ever forget that."

RB | Jason Snelling | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons RB Jason Snelling (concussion) is going through the league's concussion protocol after being injured in Week 3. He will have to clear the tests in order to return to practice this week.

RB | Cedric Benson | Cincinnati Bengals | Fantasy
The NFL is unlikely to make a decision on Cincinnati Bengals RB Cedric Benson's suspension appeal until next week. There is no indication that Benson will miss Week 4.

RB | Ryan Grant | Green Bay Packers | Fantasy
Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant looked like his old self while running over the Chicago Bears in Week 3, using his signature cutback runs. "Ryan Grant is an attempt runner," head coach Mike McCarthy said. "That's what he is. He's a bull. You've got to give him the ball, he gets better as the game moves forward. He's an excellent north and south runner. I don't think the defensive players probably enjoy tackling him a lot because it's a blow for blow type running style." Grant's bruised kidney could set him back, though, and cause the team to be more cautious with him in Week 4. RB James Starks received just five carries, and he was hesitant in tight spaces.

RB | Arian Foster | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) is expected to start in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers with RB Ben Tate serving as the backup.

RB | Chris Ogbonnaya | Houston Texans | Transaction, Free Agents, Fantasy
The Houston Texans put RB Steve Slaton on waivers Tuesday, Sept. 27, and added RB Chris Ogbonnaya from the practice squad in a corresponding move.

RB | Maurice Jones-Drew | Jacksonville Jaguars | Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew has 307 yards on 66 carries through the first three games, which are the most rushes and yards in his career through the first three games and second most in franchise history. He needs 81 yards in Week 4 to lead the franchise through the first four games.

RB | Clinton Portis | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Cincinnati Bengals have worked out free-agent RBs Larry Johnson (Dolphins) and Clinton Portis (Redskins). Portis had previously worked out with the Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

RB | Stevan Ridley | New England Patriots | Fantasy
New England Patriots RB Stevan Ridley carried the ball seven times for a team-high 44 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3, and he is averaging 6.4 yards per carry this year. "He's got a long way to go, just like any rookie as it relates to the overall scheme and knowing what to do. But that whole position has been good for us this year, productive. He'll be another guy that we add into the mix there. He's got to improve in a lot of areas and he will. He's working hard," offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien said.

RB | Rashard Mendenhall | Pittsburgh Steelers | Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall has often been stutter-stepping, spinning or changing direction before he reaches the line of scrimmage and is often moving away from the holes that the offensive line creates.

WR | Mardy Gilyard | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Tennessee Titans worked out free-agent WR Mardy Gilyard (Rams) Tuesday, Sept. 27.

WR | Santonio Holmes | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes was hot happy with the direction the offense went in after the Oakland Raiders switched to a zone defense in Week 4. "We've got to do a better job of adjusting on the fly as an offense," said Holmes, making a veiled criticism of offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. "You can't be forced to continue doing the same things when those guys are doing something different. We have to open up the game plan a little bit and have a little bit more fun." Holmes and WR Plaxico Burress had just four catches each. RB Shonn Greene was the leading receiver and QB Mark Sanchez threw underneath most of the day.

WR | Bernard Berrian | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings WR Bernard Berrian has only one catch for 17 yards through three weeks this year. He was targeted four times in Week 3 against the Detroit Lions and two came in the fourth quarter. The team wants to use Berrian as a deep factor, but QB Donovan McNabb's inaccuracy and the poor pass protection have ruined those plans so far. "There were a few times where we tried to target Bernard, but I think we'll continue to try to work on getting him the football," head coach Leslie Frazier said.

WR | Nate Washington | Tennessee Titans | Fantasy
The Tennessee Titans expect WRs Nate Washington, Damian Williams and Lavelle Hawkins and TE Jared Cook to have larger roles with WR Kenny Britt (knee) out for the season. A new receiver that the team signs won't immediately be near the top of the pecking order. Washington has had at least six catches in all three games so far and is being trusted by receivers coach Dave Ragone, offensive coordinator Chris Palmer and QB Matt Hasselbeck.

WR | Titus Young | Detroit Lions | Fantasy
Detroit Lions WR Titus Young, who is tied for third among rookie wide receivers with nine catches this year, will be a big part of the offense moving forward, according to head coach Jim Schwartz. "There's a reason we drafted him so high and had such high expectations," Schwartz said. "He's going to make a lot of plays in this offense. He's a young player and still has a ways to go, but he made some really big-time catches. He's not the biggest guy in the world, but he's got really strong hands, and he's fearless going across the middle."

Tight End

TE | Jared Cook | Tennessee Titans | Fantasy
The Tennessee Titans expect WRs Nate Washington, Damian Williams and Lavelle Hawkins and TE Jared Cook to have larger roles with WR Kenny Britt (knee) out for the season. A new receiver that the team signs won't immediately be near the top of the pecking order. Washington has had at least six catches in all three games so far and is being trusted by receivers coach Dave Ragone, offensive coordinator Chris Palmer and QB Matt Hasselbeck.

TE | Brandon Pettigrew | Detroit Lions | Fantasy
Detroit Lions TE Brandon Pettigrew was the solution to a stalled running game in Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings. "Brandon was probably, the best way to put it is he was our run game," head coach Jim Schwartz said. "What we did starting (in the) second quarter was we were adjusting every series. We started spreading him out a little bit more and they were short, control passes. He had 11 receptions and one was down the seam for a big gain. Most of the other ones were ball-control plays. That was sort of our run game."

Place Kicker

PK | Jay Feely | Arizona Cardinals | Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals PK Jay Feely remains confident he'll rebound after missing two field goals in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt also remains confident in the veteran. "What you're asking that guy to do is very tough," Whisenhunt said. "You have to be mentally strong. That's one thing I know for sure about Jay."

PK | Garrett Hartley | New Orleans Saints | Injury, Fantasy
The New Orleans Saints placed PK Garrett Hartley (hip) on the season-ending Injured Reserve list Tuesday, Sept. 27. Hartley suffered the hip injury on a point-after attempt in the team's third preseason game Aug. 28.

DL | Nick Fairley | Detroit Lions | Injury
Detroit Lions DL Nick Fairley's (foot) chances of playing in the team's Week 4 game are slim, according to a person familiar with his recovery. "He's working hard to get back on the field, and I think that he's going to play a lot of football for us this year. And when he gets back he'll be ready," head coach Jim Schwartz said. "And when he'll be ready, he'll be back. I think I'll just leave it there." Fairley still has "a ways to go" before he's ready to contribute, the source added.

DL | Brett Keisel | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury
Pittsburgh Steelers DL Brett Keisel (knee) may return to practice this week, but his availability for Week 4 remains doubtful.
