Updating a previous report, New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said he hopes QB Eli Manning's (illness) illness is a 24-hour thing and that Manning will be able to practice Thursday, Jan. 19.

QB | Tim Tebow | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow (rib, lung, shoulder) is unlikely to play in the 2012 Pro Bowl if any quarterbacks ahead of him drop out due to injury. Tebow bruised his chest and right shoulder and also tore rib cartilage during the team's loss to the New England Patriots in the Divisional round last weekend. He likely wouldn't have been able to play in the AFC Championship had the team advanced. No surgery is expected to be needed, and he's expected to make a full recovery.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Wednesday, Jan. 18, that LB Jamar Chaney (neck) underwent successful surgery Tuesday, Jan. 17, to repair a herniated disk in his neck.


Cornerback

New York Giants DEs Justin Tuck (shoulder) and Osi Umenyiora (ankle, knee), LB Mark Herzlich (ankle) and CB Corey Webster (hamstring) were limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 18.

CB | Greg Toler | Arizona Cardinals | Injury
Arizona Cardinals CB Greg Toler (knee) has been rehabbing his surgically repaired knee and said he will be ready for training camp. Toler said the knee is at 75 to 80 percent at this point and has been doing some jogging as part of his rehab.

CB | Charles Woodson | Green Bay Packers | Injury
The Green Bay Packers may consider asking CB Charles Woodson to move to safety in 2012, if FS Nick Collins (neck) is unable to return from a neck injury. However, that is not a given because Capers thinks moving Woodson out of a corner position would allow the opposition to take advantage of matchups against CB Sam Shields, the cornerback who would replace Woodson outside. "Then you have to decide who you put in outside," Capers said of replacing Woodson at corner. "One thing about Charles out there at corner, people if they're going to try to run the ball out there, they're always going to try to crack (on the linebacker) and make that corner try to tackle. It doesn't take long for people to say, 'OK, who are we going to make tackle?' We don't worry about Charles."
