Quarterback

QB | Ben Roethlisberger | Pittsburgh Steelers | Fantasy
Updating previous items, former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians announced his retirement Friday, Jan. 20, although team sources said the Steelers chose not to retain Arians, against the wishes of QB Ben Roethlisberger. The sources said the move was made in order to shift the offense back toward its blue-collar identity of years past, in line with the desires of team president Art Rooney II. During his time as coordinator, Arians turned the Steelers from a run-first team to a pass-heavy one to better suit Roethlisberger. Pittsburgh ranked in the top half of the NFL in offense over the past three seasons but finished a disappointing 12th this past season.

QB | Andy Dalton | Cincinnati Bengals | Fantasy
Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton was added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster, replacing New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, who is headed for Super Bowl XLVI. Dalton, and WR A.J. Green, are the first Bengals rookies to make the Pro Bowl since WR Cris Collinsworth accomplished the feat in 1981.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 32 of 58 passes for 316 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the NFC Championship Game win against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, Jan. 22. Manning won his fifth career postseason road game, setting an NFL record.

Running Back

Denver Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno (knee) is expected to be with the team next season but likely will not have a big role on offense. Moreno is said to be doing well him his rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.


Wide Receiver

WR | Kendall Wright | NFL Draft Prospect | Injury, Draft
Baylor WR Kendall Wright (ankle) will skip the Senior Bowl to make sure he is 100 percent for the NFL Scouting Combine. He finished the season playing with the ankle injury, and there is no reason to risk a setback.

San Francisco 49ers TE Delanie Walker (jaw), who hadn't played since fracturing his jaw in Week 16, returned to action for the NFC Championship Game overtime loss against the New York Giants Sunday, Jan. 22. He finished with two receptions for 36 yards.

New York Giants PK Lawrence Tynes kicked a 31-yard field goal in overtime in the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, Jan. 22. Tynes has two game-winning kicks, also sinking the Green Bay Packers in 2008 in the NFC title game.

Baltimore Ravens PK Billy Cundiff misfired on a game-tying 32-yard field goal attempt with 11 seconds remaining in the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots Sunday, Jan. 22. San Francisco 49ers CB Tarell Brown (head, neck) left the NFC Championship Game against the New York Giants in the second half due to what the team is calling a "head and neck" injury. He was hurt in a collision with teammate SS Dashon Goldson while trying to intercept a pass. CB Tramaine Brock replaced him.
