Quarterback

QB | Russell Wilson | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
University of Wisconsin QB Russell Wilson said he met with the Carolina Panthers this week during the Senior Bowl.

QB | Brandon Weeden | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
The Dallas Cowboys met with Oklahoma State QB Brandon Weeden Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Senior Bowl.

QB | Matt Moore | Miami Dolphins | Fantasy
Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said Tuesday, Jan. 24, that the team is searching for a quarterback "that can lead us over the hump." Ireland also wants an offensive weapon in a new tight end and some explosive pass rushers. There is little doubt that Miami wants to upgrade over QB Matt Moore.

QB | Peyton Manning | Indianapolis Colts | Injury, Fantasy
Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning (neck) isn't at full strength yet and it's unknown if he will be by the time he is due a $28 million option bonus in early March. He continues to work out on a daily basis.

Running Back

RB | Ray Rice | Free Agent | Free Agents
Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent RB Ray Rice expects to reach a contract agreement with the team in the offseason. The Ravens could also place the franchise tag on Rice, worth roughly $7.7 million in 2012. "Whatever they do, it's going to be more than I've ever had," Rice said. "There was a reason why I never brought my contract situation into that locker room because I wanted to play the game for the love of the game and my teammates. I think we'll get it done. There's no doubt that I'll be here next year."

RB | Darren McFadden | Oakland Raiders | Draft
The Oakland Raiders could look at trading RB Darren McFadden in hopes of acquiring more draft picks in the 2012 NFL Draft. McFadden is likely the team's best bargaining chip.

RB | Michael Bush | Free Agent | Free Agents
There is a strong chance Oakland Raiders impending free-agent RB Michael Bush receives the franchise tag in the offseason as RB Darren McFadden can't be trusted to make it through an entire season healthy.

RB | Adrian Peterson | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Senior Bowl that he's hopeful RB Adrian Peterson (knee) will make it back from his torn anterior cruciate ligament for the beginning of the 2012 season. He said that's the goal both Peterson and the team have set. Frazier said Peterson isn't quite ready to start running in the pool, but it's getting closer to that point.

RB | Toby Gerhart | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Draft
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said the team has to be conscious of some of the running back prospects at the Senior Bowl and in the NFL Draft because of the late season injuries to RBs Adrian Peterson (knee) and Toby Gerhart (knee), though Frazier didn't deem Gerhart's injury as serious.

RB | Frank Gore | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous injury, San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore (illness) made it official Tuesday, Jan. 24, deciding to skip the Pro Bowl game due to "medical reasons," the team confirmed.

RB | Beanie Wells | Arizona Cardinals | Injury, Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals RB Beanie Wells (knee) had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday, Jan. 24. The surgery was performed by renowned Dr. James Andrews in Florida.

Wide Receiver

WR | Ted Ginn Jr. | San Francisco 49ers | Free Agents
The San Francisco 49ers may be interested in re-signing impending free-agent WR Ted Ginn Jr. this offseason but it would have to be at the right price. Ginn was valuable on special teams this season but only caught 18 passes.

Tight End

TE | Rob Gronkowski | New England Patriots | Injury
New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said he is not quite ready to evaluate the status or availiablity of TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) for Super Bowl XLVI. "We'll see how it goes with Rob and some of the other players who are getting treatment," Belichick said. "We'll see how it is when we get back on the field. We'll see how all of that is when it's time to go. As you know, it's hard to gauge injuries."

Place Kicker

PK | Billy Cundiff | Baltimore Ravens | Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens PK Billy Cundiff said Tuesday, Jan. 24, that he had to rush on to the field before his game-ending missed field goal in the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots. Cundiff said a scoreboard malfunction at Gillette Stadium showed third down, and team officials confirmed the scoreboard error. One unnamed Ravens player said Monday, Jan. 23, that coaches called for Cundiff at least six times and were "furious" that he was not immediately ready after a failed third down play.

Offensive Tackle

OT | Chilo Rachal | San Francisco 49ers | Free Agents
The San Francisco 49ers are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent OG Chilo Rachal this offseason.

OT | Lydon Murtha | Miami Dolphins | Injury
Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said Tuesday, Jan. 24, that reserve linemen OG Nate Garner, OG John Jerry and OT Lydon Murtha (foot) might have a shot at starting jobs in 2012. "One of the big things we didn't have was Lydon Murtha this year," Ireland said. "He ended the 2010 season really strong, and I was looking forward to really seeing what he was going to become." Murtha missed the season after breaking his foot in the preseason.

OT | Jake Long | Miami Dolphins | Draft
The Miami Dolphins have Pro Bowl OT Jake Long at left tackle, OG Richie Incognito at left guard and C Mike Pouncey, who was solid in his rookie season at center. However, the team is rebuilding the rest of the offensive line, which is one of the deepest units in the 2012 NFL Draft.

OT | Vernon Carey | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Miami Dolphins are not expected to bring back free-agent OG Vernon Carey, an alternate for the AFC Pro Bowl team. According to sources, Carey's value is much higher elsewhere than in South Florida.

Defensive Line

DL | Jarret Johnson | Baltimore Ravens | Free Agents
Baltimore Ravens LB Jarret Johnson has played in 130 straight games, a franchise record. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March, but would like to be back. "I'd like to fit in again here," Johnson said. "But unfortunately this is a business and sometimes business decisions (have) got to be made. I hope to be back. I'd love to retire a Raven, but we'll see."

DL | Haloti Ngata | Baltimore Ravens | Injury
Baltimore Ravens DL Haloti Ngata (thigh) acknowledged this week that he played with a thigh injury for most of the season. As such, he has dropped out of the AFC Pro Bowl.

DL | Cliff Avril | Free Agent | Free Agents
Detroit Lions impending free-agent DL Cliff Avril said he is willing to make the move to linebacker in order to stay with the team next year. He started 12 games at strongside linebacker in college. However, it's unlike the Lions use him as a full-time linebacker if he re-signs.

Linebacker

LB | Keith Brooking | Free Agent | Free Agents
Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent LB Keith Brooking would like to re-sign with the Cowboys this offseason and will be willing to accept a lesser role on defense.

LB | Mario Williams | Free Agent | Free Agents
The top offseason priority for the Houston Texans will be to re-sign impending free-agent LB Mario Williams. The Texans aren't likely to franchise Williams because he would cost them $22.9 million; however, the team can't afford to carry Williams at $22.9 million for one year. They could franchise Williams and hope he'd agree later to a long-term deal, but he'd be holding all the cards knowing they couldn't keep him at $22.9 million. Williams wants to stay in Houston, but once he's on the open market, a team with a lot of cap space could offer him big guaranteed money.

Cornerback

CB | Brandon Boykin | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
University of Georgia CB Brandon Boykin has spoken with the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles and four other teams this week at the Senior Bowl.

CB | Lardarius Webb | Baltimore Ravens | Transaction
Baltimore Ravens CB Lardarius Webb said Tuesday, Jan. 24, that he expects FS Ed Reed to be back in 2012. "He's coming back," Webb said. He was asked if Reed told him that specifically. "No, I just know he's coming back." Reed is entering the final season of a six-year contract signed back in 2006.

CB | Shawntae Spencer | San Francisco 49ers | Transaction
The San Francisco 49ers are expected to released CB Shawntae Spencer, who has a $3.2 million salary for 2012.

Strong Safety

SS | Dashon Goldson | San Francisco 49ers | Free Agents
The San Francisco 49ers may place their franchise tag on impending free-agent FS Dashon Goldson if the two sides are not able to reach a contract agreement before free agency. The team may consider offering Goldson the same five-year, $25 million contract they did last offseason.

Free Safety

FS | Ed Reed | Baltimore Ravens | Transaction
Baltimore Ravens CB Lardarius Webb said Tuesday, Jan. 24, that he expects FS Ed Reed to be back in 2012. "He's coming back," Webb said. He was asked if Reed told him that specifically. "No, I just know he's coming back." Reed is entering the final season of a six-year contract signed back in 2006.
