Quarterback

The Denver Broncos are not expected to mortgage their future in terms of trading draft picks this year simply because they have QB Peyton Manning on the roster. Even with Manning, the team has to try to stay as true as possible to its mandate to build through the NFL Draft, or the Manning era will only be the prelude to a crash.

QB | Andrew Luck | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said via Twitter that the team is leaning toward selecting Stanford QB Andrew Luck in the NFL Draft; however, the team continues to evaluate prospects.

QB | Ryan Tannehill | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
The Kansas City Chiefs may consider taking Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill if he is available when they pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.


Running Back

RB | Trent Richardson | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
The Cleveland Browns appear more likely than ever to keep the No. 4 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Oklahoma State WR Justin Blackmon and Alabama RB Trent Richardson, two of the team's potential targets, could be gone if they trade down.

Wide Receiver

Denver Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) had surgery to repair ligaments this past week. The surgery was performed by Dr. Robert Anderson, a noted ankle and foot specialist. Thomas will be limited to work with the team's training and medical staff as the team goes through their offseason conditioning and team workouts over the next two months.


Offensive Tackle

OT | Donald Stephenson | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
University of Oklahoma OT Donald Stephenson is scheduled to meet with the Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs before the 2012 NFL Draft. He is also scheduled to work out for the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Browns and an undisclosed AFC team.


Guard

OG | Nate Livings | Dallas Cowboys | Draft
The Dallas Cowboys could still look to select an offensive lineman with the No. 14 overall pick in the NFL Draft, even though the team spent $30 million in free agency on OGs Mackenzy Bernadeau and Nate Livings.

Defensive Line

The Chicago Bears have done extensive research on Mississippi State DL Fletcher Cox. The team will likely look to add a defensive tackle in the NFL Draft, particularly after losing DL Amobi Okoye to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

DL | Warren Sapp | Retired | Free Agents
Former NFL DL Warren Sapp's employment with the NFL Network is likely over, according to two league sources. Sapp has not been on the network since the week of his tweets and on-air comments that labeled free-agent TE Jeremy Shockey (Panthers) as the snitch in the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal - something commissioner Roger Goodell said was not true. Sapp's next on-air appearance has not been determined, according to a source.

DL | Terrance Knighton | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury
Jacksonville Jaguars DL Terrance Knighton (eye) had surgery on his eye Sunday, April 8. He suffered the injury at an incident in or near aJacksonville-area nightclub. "We are in the process of gathering information about what happened and are not able to further comment at this time," the team said in a statement.

DL | Jarvis Moss | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Oakland Raiders could re-sign free-agent DE Jarvis Moss at some point during the offseason even though they added DE Dave Tollefson.

DL | Mike Neal | Green Bay Packers | Draft
The Green Bay Packers may decide to release DE Mike Neal after the 2012 NFL Draft in part because of his four-game suspension.


Linebacker

LB | Jonathan Casillas | New Orleans Saints | Free Agents
New Orleans Saints restricted free-agent LB Jonathan Casillas is scheduled to visit the Tennessee Titans Monday, April 9, according to a source.

LB | Miles Burris | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
The Green Bay Packers met with San Diego State LB Miles Burris at the NFL Scouting Combine and may consider selecting him at some point during the 2012 NFL Draft. Burris said he believes he can play any linebacker spot in the 3-4 defensive alignment as well as the 4-3 defensive alignment.

LB | Bruce Irvin | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
West Virginia DE Bruce Irvin is receiving interest from teams that use a 4-3 defensive alignment as well as 3-4 defensive alignment and has a chance to be taken in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Irvin is scheduled to meet with 12 teams before the draft.

LB | Melvin Ingram | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
The New York Jets may consider taking Notre Dame WR Michael Floyd or South Carolina DE Melvin Ingram if either are available when they choose in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

LB | Dane Fletcher | New England Patriots | Injury
New England Patriots LB Dane Fletcher (thumb) is still wearing cast on the thumb he injured during the season but is expected to have the cast taken off in the near future.


Cornerback

CB | Ryan Mouton | Tennessee Titans | Injury
Tennessee Titans CB Ryan Mouton (Achilles') said he has been running for the last five weeks and has begun working on change of direction while running. He is expected to take part in some of the offseason workouts if he does not have any setbacks and expects to be fully healthy for training camp. General manager Ruston Webster indicated Mouton will be a candidate for the nickel back job.


Strong Safety

SS | Yeremiah Bell | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Philadelphia Eagles have shown interest in free-agent SS Yeremiah Bell (Dolphins).


Free Safety

FS | Harrison Smith | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
The Minnesota Vikings likely will consider taking Notre Dame FS Harrison Smith if he is available when they pick in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
