The Baltimore Ravens have signed free-agent Curtis Painter (Colts). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

QB | Brock Osweiler | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
The Buffalo Bills met with Arizona State QB Brock Osweiler earlier this week.


Running Back

RB | Trent Richardson | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
Cleveland Browns general manager Tom Heckert said the team is unanimous on the player they'll select with the No. 4 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Heckert wouldn't reveal the player's identity, but based on the team's current needs, it's safe to assume the Browns are considering Alabama RB Trent Richardson and Oklahoma State WR Justin Blackmon. Heckert said the Browns need "guys who can score points." He described both players as "class guys."


Wide Receiver

The Minnesota Vikings will visit with free-agent WR Jerome Simpson (Bengals) Saturday, April 21. Simpson has already had a visit with the St. Louis Rams.

New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said the team is not ruling out signing free-agent WR Braylon Edwards (49ers) this offseason.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are showing interest in Georgia Tech WR Stephen Hill. He may not be available when they choose in the second round and it is not known how far they can trade down in the first round and still have a chance at Hill.

The Minnesota Vikings are deciding between South California OT Matt Kalil, Louisiana State CB Morris Claiborne and Oklahoma State WR Justin Blackmon for their first-round draft choice in the 2012 NFL Draft.


Offensive Tackle

Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand said OT Jeff Backus (biceps) is expected to be able to fully participate when training camp starts.
