Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning approved of the team's decision to select QB Brock Osweiler in the NFL Draft. "On one of the first days after we signed him, he told me after watching what his friends just went through, we have to make sure we get depth at quarterback," head coach John Fox said.

However, Dominik declined and picked him with the No. 212 pick overall. "I think every time Mark and I watched tape he would jump off the tape at you, just a different kind of speed than everybody else on the field," head coach Greg Schiano said. "How we utilize that is going to be our job."

RB | Chris Polk | Philadelphia Eagles | Transaction, Free Agents
The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms with undrafted rookie free-agent WR Elvis Akpla (Montana State), LS Matt Camilli (Texas-El Paso), TE Chase Ford (Miami), CB Cliff Harris (Oregon), FB Emil Igwenagu (Massachusetts), WR McKay Jacobson (Brigham Young), WR Damaris Johnson (Tulsa), WR Aaron Pflugrad (Arizona State), RB Chris Polk (Washington), FB Jeremy Stewart (Stanford), FS Phillip Thomas (Syracuse), P Ryan Tydlacka (Kentucky) and WR Darnell Williams (Louisiana College). Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said the team was pleased to land WR Toney Clemons in the seventh round of the NFL Draft. "We're excited. We think (Clemons) has a chance to compete for that spot," Tomlin said. "We were really happy to get him where we got him."

Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik liked the ability for TE Drake Dunsmore to picked up extra yards after the catch due to his speed when he played at Northwestern. Head coach Greg Schiano said Dunsmore's speed can allow the team to create some mismatches in the middle of the field. "He's very smart, catches the ball well, runs excellent routes," Dominik said. "He's a guy we really think can help us at that position."

PK | Justin Tucker | Baltimore Ravens | Transaction, Free Agents
The Baltimore Ravens agreed to a contract with undrafted rookie free-agent PK Justin Tucker (Texas) Sunday, April 29.

PK | John Potter | Buffalo Bills | Draft, Depth Chart Tidbit
The Buffalo Bills likely will use PK John Potter, their seventh-round pick in the NFL Draft, as a kickoff specialist. Plenty of teams kicked it through the end zone against the Bills last season, neutralizing return man WR Brad Smith. "That's mostly what peopled did to us," general manager Buddy Nix said. Potter said he had 36 touchbacks, which was about 43 or 44 percent, in college.

Offensive Tackle

OT | Zebrie Sanders | Buffalo Bills | Draft, Depth Chart Tidbit
Buffalo Bills OL Mark Asper, LB Nigel Bradham, CB Ron Brooks and OT Zebrie Sanders are each expected to compete for backup roles with the team this season. "We were able to fill everyone (spot) that we set out to fill," general manager Buddy Nix said.

OT | Mike X. Adams | Pittsburgh Steelers |
Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said the team set out criteria for OT Mike X. Adams to follow to save his chance to get drafted. He was initially told he was off of their board due to off-field issues. "We were trying to help the kid be proactive and save his chance to get drafted. We said, 'oh by the way, if you do these things we'll see where it goes,'" Colbert said. "He did them and we are where we are today. We'll see where it goes from here, we don't know. If it doesn't work it is on me because I endorsed it."

OG | David DeCastro | Pittsburgh Steelers | Draft, Depth Chart Tidbit
Pittsburgh Steelers OG David DeCastro is not necessarily guaranteed to line up with the first team during offseason activities. "We'll play it by ear," head coach Mike Tomlin said. "Obviously he will be with the first team in rookie minicamp. We'll see how the rookie mini-camp goes."

The New England Patriots will re-sign free-agent DL Gerard Warren, according to league sources.

Linebacker

LB | Bruce Irvin | Seattle Seahawks | Draft
Although the Seattle Seahawks were criticized for selecting LB Bruce Irvin in the first round of the NFL Draft, the New York Jets, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers either planned to select Irvin or had him on a short list of first-round candidates.

LB | Sean Spence | Pittsburgh Steelers | Draft, Depth Chart Tidbit
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin indicated that LB Sean Spence, selected in the third round of the NFL Draft, will be taught the inside linebacker position. "He's a sharp kid. We are going to teach him the inside linebacker position, both positions, and see where that leads us. We value position flexibility," Tomlin said.

LB | Najee Goode | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Draft
Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik said he thinks LB Najee Goode, drafted in the fifth round of the NFL Draft, could fit in a variety of places for the team. He is likely to play in the middle or strong-side of the linebacker corps. "This is a guy we watched a lot throughout the whole process and a guy that we felt could play in all three positions," Dominik said. "He's physical, fast, I think he has one of the best use of hands of all the linebackers in the draft."

LB | Brian Urlacher | Chicago Bears | Injury
Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith said LB Brian Urlacher fully participated in the workouts the team had before the draft and that he was not limited by the knee injury he suffered last season.

Cornerback

CB | Janoris Jenkins | St. Louis Rams | Draft
St. Louis Rams general manager Les Snead said the extra picks the team collected in this year's NFL Draft made it easier for them to select troubled CB Janoris Jenkins. "Without all the extra picks, obviously, it would have been tougher to take a chance on Janoris," Snead said.

CB | Ron Brooks | Buffalo Bills | Draft, Depth Chart Tidbit
Buffalo Bills OL Mark Asper, LB Nigel Bradham, CB Ron Brooks and OT Zebrie Sanders are each expected to compete for backup roles with the team this season. "We were able to fill everyone (spot) that we set out to fill," general manager Buddy Nix said.

CB | Keith Tandy | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Draft
Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik said CB Keith Tandy, drafted in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, will get a chance to play cornerback. He joined West Virginia teammate LB Najee Goode with the Bucs. "As I talked to (head coach Greg Schiano) about this selection, we're going to give (Tandy) a shot at corner and see how he does, because that's what he did at West Virginia," Dominik said. "He has really good ball skills, a tough, physical tackler as well, so he's an exciting element to our team."

Free Safety

FS | Harrison Smith | Minnesota Vikings | Draft
The Minnesota Vikings' decision to trade up in the NFL Draft to select FS Harrison Smith resulted in large part from the access the team's coaching staff had to Smith at the Senior Bowl. "When our coaches coached the Senior Bowl, they fell in love with Harrison Smith," general manager Rick Spielman said. "At safety, the depth after him got really thin. So we felt that was a guy we really wanted to get where we got him. That's the point with what we did."
