Quarterback

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall feels he and QB Jay Cutler see the field the same type of way, which helps them during the course of a game when things break down and they are forced to wing it. "We seem to be on the same page when we do that and that's what the great ones do," Marshall said of his connection with his quarterback.

QB | Matt Hasselbeck | Tennessee Titans | Fantasy
Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Chris Palmer said the team does not have a definite timetable on when they want to name a starting quarterback. "We've not put a time schedule on it," Palmer said. "I think [head coach Mike Munchak] will sit and talk with the offensive coaches. I think [general manager Ruston Webster] will come down and talk with the coaches, and I think we'll come to a conclusion as soon as we can." Palmer said the competition will help QBs Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker elevate their play.


Running Back

RB | DeMarco Murray | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (ankle) is back on the practice field and no longer slowed by the fractured right ankle that ended his rookie season in December. Murray said he feels great and is "100 percent" healthy. "I have been doing everything in the past month-and-a-half 100-percent-wise. No limitations. I'm feeling good out there," Murray said.

Running backs coach Skip Peete said Murray doesn't appear to be any slower than he did before the injury. "He's come back and he's in good shape and he's doing a good job. I don't see any ill effects of his ankle injury from this past season," Peete noted.


Wide Receiver

New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said WR Hakeem Nicks' (foot) availability for Week 1 could be in question because the estimated recovery time from his fractured foot is close to the start of the regular season. Nicks express confidence that his foot will heal faster than the estimation and doctors have told Coughlin the injury will heal well.

The Seattle Seahawks have signed undrafted free-agent WR Justin Helwege (Central Washington). Terms of the contract were not disclosed. In a corresponding move, the team released OT Andrew Mitchell.


Tight End

Seattle Seahawks TE Kellen Winslow said he fits into the Seattle offense very well. He feels he and TE Zach Miller will create a lot of mismatches and be difficult for defenses to cover. Head coach Pete Carroll said Winslow should be a big factor on third down and in the red zone.

Jacksonville Jaguars DT Terrance Knighton (eye) was participating in some drills during organized team activities Thursday, May 24. It was originally thought he would not be able to do anything until training camp because he underwent eye surgery earlier this offseason.

Carolina Panthers RB Tauren Poole (hamstring), DE Charles Johnson (knee) and DT Ron Edwards (biceps) were not participating in organized team activities Thursday, May 24.

Carolina Panthers RB Tauren Poole (hamstring), DE Charles Johnson (knee) and DT Ron Edwards (biceps) were not participating in organized team activities Thursday, May 24.
