QB | Mark Sanchez | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez continues his strong showing in training camp. He completed 3-of-4 passes in the first team drill of practice Monday, July 30.

QB | Peyton Manning | Denver Broncos | Fantasy
Although Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning has looked sharp in training camp thus far, most of his passes have been short and intermediate, with only a handful of them deep.

QB | Jarrett Lee | San Diego Chargers | Injury

QB | Ryan Tannehill | Miami Dolphins | Fantasy
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill received the most quarterback reps during practice Sunday, July 29; however, he worked with the second team while QBs David Garrard and Matt Moore split reps with the first team. Tannehill will eventually see time with the first group. "He got more reps than anybody," offensive coordinator Mike Sherman said. "Eventually we're going to work him in with the first group, once he gets caught up to snuff, which I think will be sooner rather than later because he seems like he's right on task right now."

QB | Kellen Clemens | St. Louis Rams | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams QB Kellen Clemens is considered the odds-on favorite for the No. 2 quarterback job due to his familiarity with the system of offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. The two worked together with the New York Jets.

QB | Kevin O'Connell | San Diego Chargers | Transaction, Fantasy
The San Diego Chargers agreed to terms with free-agent QB Kevin O'Connell (Jets) Sunday, July 29. The agreement is still pending a physical, but he is expected to sign Monday, July 30.

Both sides have been increasing discussions in recent weeks. Flacco is in the final year of his rookie deal.

QB | Matt Hasselbeck | Tennessee Titans | Fantasy
Tennessee Titans QBs Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker split reps during practice Saturday, July 28. Head coach Mike Munchak said the two quarterbacks will continue split carries until a starter is named.

Running Back

RB | Darren McFadden | Oakland Raiders | Fantasy
Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden said he does not intend to change his aggressive style of play, even if it makes him more susceptible to injury. "It's one of those things, it happens in football," McFadden said of injuries. "I can't say I'm unlucky about it because I'm a very blessed person to even be playing in this league. I just go out there and take it one day at a time. I can't control injuries. If I get hurt, I'm going to get hurt going hard because that's something I can't control, and I'm not going to go out there and play not to get hurt."

RB | Bilal Powell | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets RB Bilal Powell could be the team's third-down running back, according to running backs coach Anthony Lynn.

RB | Bryce Brown | Philadelphia Eagles | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown has shown soft hands as a receiver since joining the team, and he showed off solid blocking in pass-protection drills Sunday, July 29. He appears to have a leg up in the battle for the No. 3 running back job over rookie RB Chris Polk.

RB | Steven Jackson | St. Louis Rams | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams rookie RB Isaiah Pead is considered the top backup to starting RB Steven Jackson. The second and third preseason games are expected to show exactly how the team will use Pead.

RB | James Starks | Green Bay Packers | Fantasy
Green Bay Packers RB James Starks is the elder statesman of the Green Bay running backs this season at just 26. He has just 162 carries during the regular season over the past two years due to shoulder, knee and ankle injuries. With the Packers relying a lot on the passing game, Starks said it is very important for the backs to be able to block. "If you can't do that, you're not going to play," he said. "I'm going to do whatever the coaches ask of me to do, so (blocking) is fine with me. If I have to do it, I'm going to do it, and I think it suits me."

RB | Daniel Thomas | Miami Dolphins | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Miami Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas, a second-year pro, is leading the competition for the No. 2 role behind starting tailback Reggie Bush. Thomas has had some bright moments to start training camp.

RB | Steve Slaton | Miami Dolphins | Depth Chart Tidbit
Miami Dolphins RB Steve Slaton currently has the lead on rookie RB Lamar Miller for the No. 3 running back role.

RB | Reggie Bush | Miami Dolphins | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said he is not committed to any specific number of times a running back needs to touch the football this season. When asked if he prefers a feature back or a committee approach, Philbin said: "I'm not locked into one guy carrying the ball 23 times and the next guy carrying it seven. You want a guy to touch the football X-amount of times because those guys have a higher chance of getting yourself a big play, but I'm not locked into any one formula." RBs Reggie Bush, Daniel Thomas, Steve Slaton and rookie Lamar Miller are all jockeying for playing time during training camp.

RB | Doug Martin | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin, as an update to previous reports, is looking the part of a primary running back. Not only is he seeing the large majority of the first-team snaps, he is also staying on the field for third-down/pass-protection snaps. Pass-protection work is an area Martin's competition, LeGarrette Blount, has previously struggled. Martin, a rookie first-round draft choice, has shown a quick burst at the line of scrimmage, is hitting holes decisively and using his speed to make defenders miss once he hits the second layer of a defense.

Head coach Greg Schiano made it a point to say the players haven't played in a live game yet. "You look at them in protection and carrying the ball, but until they have to break a tackle, make someone miss in a game when they're getting tackled live, it's awfully hard to evaluate," Schiano said.

Stephen Holder, of the Tampa Bay Times, notes despite Martin looking the part, it does not mean that Blount is the No. 2 running back; nor does it mean that Blount won't have an important role in the Buccaneers offense this season.

RB | Felix Jones | Dallas Cowboys | Injury
Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said RB Felix Jones (shoulder) and SS Gerald Sensabaugh (knee) are expected to be ready to practice Monday, July 30. Both are recovering from offseason surgeries.

RB | Adrian Peterson | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said the team would like to see RB Adrian Peterson get some reps during the preseason to allow him to gauge his progress and what he would need to do to get ready for the season. "We'll see how he progresses. But ideally, you'd like to see him get some carries at some point in the preseason just for his benefit, where he can gain some confidence and get a feel for where he is and where he needs to be by the first game of the season," Frazier said.

RB | Montario Hardesty | Cleveland Browns | Fantasy
Cleveland Browns RB Montario Hardesty has looked lighter, quicker and more energized during training camp this season. He is healthy but will have to perform well during camp in order to secure himself a place on the final roster.

RB | Mikel Leshoure | Detroit Lions | Injury, Fantasy
Detroit Lions RB Mikel Leshoure (hamstring) did not participate in practice Sunday, July 29, but said he was held out as a precaution. He said he is not sure when he will return to practice but is not worried about the injury.

Fullback

FB | Collin Mooney | Tennessee Titans | Injury, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Tennessee Titans FB Collin Mooney (hand) is no longer wearing a cast on his surgically repaired broken left hand, and he saw plenty of reps at the fullback position in practice over the weekend behind starting FB Quinn Johnson.

FB | Quinn Johnson | Tennessee Titans | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Tennessee Titans FB Quinn Johnson worked with the first-team offense at the fullback position over the weekend in practice.

Wide Receiver

WR | Sidney Rice | Seattle Seahawks | Injury, Fantasy
The Seattle Seahawks intend to take it very slowly with WR Sidney Rice (shoulders) during training camp and avoid all contact for now as Rice continues to recover from offseason surgery on both shoulders. Rice may not play in the preseason in order to be ready for Week 1.

WR | A.J. Jenkins | San Francisco 49ers | Draft
San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh defended the selection of WR A.J. Jenkins in the first round of the NFL Draft, even though Jenkins has struggled early on. "A.J. Jenkins was an outstanding football player when he got here," Harbaugh said. "His progress has been very, very good, and exceeded expectations. For those - the scribes, pundits, so-called experts - who have gone so far as to say that he's going to be a bust, should just stop. I recommend that because they're making themselves look more clueless than they already did."

WR | Riley Cooper | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury
Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper (collarbone) will be out six weeks after suffering a fractured collarbone. Cooper will be out right until the team's Week 1 game.

WR | Demaryius Thomas | Denver Broncos | Fantasy
Denver Broncos young WRs Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker are reportedly earning the trust of QB Peyton Manning thus far in training camp.

WR | Wes Welker | New England Patriots | Fantasy
The New England Patriots could use TE Aaron Hernandez in the same role as WR Wes Welker if the team lets Welker walk at the end of the 2012 season.

WR | David Nelson | Buffalo Bills | Injury

WR | Marvin McNutt | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Philadelphia Eagles WR Marvin McNutt is getting more reps with WR Riley Cooper (collarbone) out with a broken collarbone. He appears to have more confidence, and has been playing well in his bid for the No. 4 receiver job.

WR | Danny Amendola | St. Louis Rams | Depth Chart Tidbit
The St. Louis Rams might take a while to sort out their return men during training camp and the preseason. WR Danny Amendola, CB Janoris Jenkins, RB Isaiah Pead, RB Daryl Richardson and WR Greg Salas are among the candidates for return duties.

WR | Steve E. Smith | St. Louis Rams | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams WRs Danario Alexander, Brandon Gibson, Austin Pettis, Greg Salas and Steve E. Smith are not considered locks for the team's final roster out of training camp and the preseason. Smith showed progress as offseason workouts went on, and he might be a sleeper if healthy. Pettis has two games remaining on his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

WR | Chris Givens | St. Louis Rams | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams WRs Danny Amendola, Chris Givens and Brian Quick are considered locks for the final roster.

WR | Austin Collie | Indianapolis Colts | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Indianapolis Colts WR Austin Collie has been mostly relegated to slot receiver duties in the past with the team. Now, he has a chance to do more. "Before I was more like the security blanket," Collie said Sunday, July 29. "Now I am going to focus more on being able to make the big play down the field. I feel like that means I have a lot more responsibility." Head coach Chuck Pagano said he is pleased with how quickly QB Andrew Luck and Collie have jelled. He has a good chance to start opposite WR Reggie Wayne, but he obviously needs to stay healthy.

WR | Randall Cobb | Green Bay Packers | Fantasy
Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb, a second-year pro, has had an eye-catching start to training camp. If he keeps it up, it may be impossible for the Packers to keep him off of the field even though he is going to continue as the team's primary return man. Early in training camp, Cobb has made more big plays and has been used a variety of ways - more so than any of the team's other receivers. He has had several big receptions in training camp, using his speed to blow past defenders.

Cobb was the team's No. 5 receiver last year, but head coach Mike McCarthy entered the offseason looking for ways to expand his role in the offense. Cobb (5'10, 192 pounds) primarily plays out of the slot due to his size and speed, and it appears he'll be the team's No. 1 option out of the slot this season. During training camp, he has lined up several times in the backfield. A year ago, he occasionally lined up there as the team's Wildcat quarterback.

During the offseason, Cobb said he made it a point to improve his route running so QB Aaron Rodgers would trust him more. "I think I have a pretty good understanding of this offense and my role," Cobb said. McCarthy said he's a versatile player and it is "important" for the team to always create schemes where they are giving their players an opportunity to succeed. However, if the Packers continue to commit to him on special teams, it could come at the expense of some receiver snaps.

WR | Lestar Jean | Houston Texans | Fantasy
Houston Texans WRs Lestar Jean and DeVier Posey have been putting in extra work after each practice of training camp, running routes and catching passes on the field. They both caught passes from a JUGS machine for about 15 minutes after practice Sunday, July 29.

WR | Andre Johnson | Houston Texans | Injury, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Houston Texans WR Lestar Jean practiced as a starter Sunday, July 29, with WR Andre Johnson (groin) sidelined. The Florida Atlantic University product also did so during organized team activities (OTAs) when Johnson was out with a knee ailment. "He's got a ways to go," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "I love his work habits. I love how he goes about his business. He's got all the tools: the size, he can run, he's smart. Lestar has just got to become a pro. Every day, he just has to be consistent and make a play. He had a couple chances to make plays this morning that he needs to make. I'm not being hard on him. That's just the way it is."

WR | Justin Blackmon | Jacksonville Jaguars | Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey is worried about holdout rookie WR Justin Blackmon getting behind. "He's got to catch up on what is being installed now and everything else he has missed," Mularkey said. "I believe this, if you (are) unsure on what you're doing, you can't play to the speed you want to play because you're thinking too much."

WR | Michael Crabtree | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers WR Michael Crabtree (ankle, foot) missed practice Sunday, July 29. General manager Trent Baalke said the injury is not a long-term concern. The injury is to his right ankle foot, which is not the foot he has had problems with in the past.

TE | Aaron Hernandez | New England Patriots | Fantasy
The New England Patriots could use TE Aaron Hernandez in the same role as WR Wes Welker if the team lets Welker walk at the end of the 2012 season.

TE | Matthew Mulligan | St. Louis Rams | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams TE Matthew Mulligan is tentatively consider the No. 3 tight end on the depth chart, but he is anything but a lock. He is trying to hold off challengers TEs Jamie Childers, Brody Eldridge, Cory Harkey, Mike McNeill and DeAngelo Peterson for a roster spot. His familiarity with the system of offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, from their days with the New York Jets, is expected to help his cause.

Offensive Tackle

OT | Bryant McKinnie | Baltimore Ravens | Injury
Baltimore Ravens OT Bryant McKinnie (back) plans to report to training camp Monday, July 30, after missing the first three practices; however, that does not mean he will be returning to the practice field. New York Jets OT Jeff Otah (knee) still remains out of practice.

OT | Jason Smith | St. Louis Rams | Injury, Depth Chart Tidbit

The St. Louis Rams have a wide-open battle at the left guard position. The coaching staff likes the potential of OG Rokevious Watkins.
