Quarterback

QB | Matt Ryan | Atlanta Falcons | Fantasy
The screen pass has been a staple in Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter's scheme this season. QB Matt Ryan has completed all 14 of his screens for 145 yards and a league-high three touchdowns. Ryan didn't throw a screen for a touchdown in either of the past two seasons.

QB | Seneca Wallace | Free Agent | Free Agents
Free-agent QB Seneca Wallace (Browns) worked out for the New Orleans Saints.

QB | Ryan Fitzpatrick | Buffalo Bills | Fantasy
The Buffalo Bills have shown the ability to be an explosive offense, but the unit has also had issues protecting the football. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is tied for second in the NFL with seven interception. The team has already lost four fumbles, just one off their total of five for the entire 2011 campaign.

QB | Jay Cutler | Chicago Bears | Fantasy
Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler believes the offense is starting to build some chemistry after a strong Week 4 performance against the Dallas Cowboys. "The first three games we're figuring it out, we're getting our game plan under us," Cutler said. "Mike's figuring out calling plays, I'm gaining trust with the offensive line. There are a lot of moving parts and it just kind of came together (Monday) night. I thought the offensive line played great top to bottom, run game, pass game. Mike had a really good rhythm with his calling plays, mixing it up, playaction, run, took a few shots. It was well executed."

QB | Joe Flacco | Baltimore Ravens | Fantasy
The Baltimore Ravens used the no-huddle offense on 49 of their 77 snaps in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns, generating 438 yards of offense. They used QB Joe Flacco in the shotgun 41 times, buying time for the signal caller to evade pressure.

QB | Tim Tebow | New York Jets | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
New York Jets owner Woody Johnson said at the NFL spring meetings when QB Tim Tebow was acquired from the Denver Broncos that QB Mark Sanchez "is our starting quarterback. Period." However, it appears after Sanchez's struggles in Week 4, when the team was shutout by the San Francisco 49ers, Johnson is whistling a different tune. Two people who know Johnson, and know how he runs his football operation, believe he will push his football people to start Tebow.

QB | John Skelton | Arizona Cardinals | Injury, Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals QB John Skelton (ankle) was able to take part in a full practice Tuesday, Oct. 2.

QB | Matthew Stafford | Detroit Lions | Fantasy
Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand pointed to QB Matthew Stafford and TE Brandon Pettigrew when speaking about the team's slow start, and he said both must play better. "I would say that Matthew, in particular, is capable of playing better," Lewand said. "I think he'll be the first to tell you that. We've got a guy like a Brandon Pettigrew, our young tight end, who is capable of playing at a higher level than he's played. He's dropped some passes, including one on Sunday that cost us a touchdown. Those are the kinds of things we have to look at."

QB | Josh Freeman | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Fantasy
Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan said QB Josh Freeman's work ethic has been terrific this year. He has the drive, talent, and mental toughness to succeed.

QB | Jake Locker | Tennessee Titans | Injury, Fantasy
Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (shoulder) might miss multiple games after separating his non-throwing shoulder for the second time this year in Week 4. The team's medical staff popped his should back into place after the injury, and Locker may need season-ending surgery to fix the issue. Dr. Mike Pagnani said once a player has that sort of injury, it will keep recurring. "Eventually, the pain will go away," Pagnani said. "The risk is, it's going to happen again and it's probably just a matter of time before it does. He is going to go out there and he is going to get hit wrong and it's going to pop out again. And he'll go through the same scenario where they pop it back in, and he's going to be real sore for a week or two until he ultimately gets it fixed." Surgery seems inevitable at this point, and there would be a six-month recovery time. The team has yet to decide if Locker will undergo surgery. QB Matt Hasselbeck will take over as the starter this week against the Minnesota Vikings.

Running Back

RB | Steven Jackson | St. Louis Rams | Injury, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson (groin) has rushed for just 84 yards on 29 carries over the last two weeks as he's dealt with a groin injury.

RB | DeMarco Murray | Dallas Cowboys | Fantasy
The Dallas Cowboys could use RB DeMarco Murray out of the backfield more as a receiver early in games in order to then come back to the run. Murray has struggled rushing the football in recent games.

San Francisco 49ers RB Brandon Jacobs (knee) said Tuesday, Oct. 2, that he was running 60-yard dashes in triple-degree heat at the team's training facility, and he said he is ready to return to the field. "I'm ready to play, it's all gone now," Jacobs said.

"We probably had as good a field position based on our kickoff return game that we've had in a long, long time," head coach Tom Coughlin said of Wilson's 36.2 yard average on returns against Philadelphia on Sunday night. "David Wilson as a weapon is quite obvious now [and] people are really going to have to contend with that aspect of our game."

RB | Cedric Benson | Green Bay Packers | Fantasy

Thus far, I've been handling it well."

Jones suffered a right hand laceration in Week 3 against the San Diego Chargers. While he was active in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers, he had just one catch. "He still had eight targets (in Week 4). That's a fair number; it just didn't work out. Eight targets and one catch is not a good percentage. Julio's hand is not 100 percent. Credit him for playing and running his routes hard," Koetter said.
