Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Jussi Jokinen, Josh Bailey, more

It is the end of the week, which means it is once again time to take a trip through the fantasy hockey waiver wire. If you are reading this, it means you have likely qualified for the fantasy hockey postseason, and this is the most important time of the year for you. There are still plenty of players out there on the waiver wire that can be the difference for your team advancing to the next round, and your roster decisions could be the difference.

Josh Bailey, left wing, New York Islanders

Bailey has been on a bit of a scoring run of late, collecting three goals and three assists over his last five games. Bailey also checked in with a plus-4 over that span. The Islanders have played themselves right into the hunt for a playoff spot, so everyone should be motivated the rest of the way - something I am a big believer in this time of year in terms of looking at players for your roster. Bailey is owned in just 3 percent of all fantasy leagues polled, but his scoring output of late makes him an option in deeper leagues.

Jussi Jokinen, center, Pittsburgh Penguins

Jussi Jokinen, Pittsburgh Penguins

The trade that sent Jokinen from the Carolina Hurricanes to the Pittsburgh Penguins just over a week ago seems to be working out well for Jokinen, who has collected three goals and two assists in his time with the Penguins. Jokinen had a three-point night in Tampa on Thursday, and even saw time on the power play. Jokinen is owned in only 12 percent of all fantasy leagues polled and has played into consideration for a roster spot based on his offensive output with his new team.

Bryan Little, center, Winnipeg Jets

The Jets center has broken out offensively over his past three games, contributing a goal and five assists over that time. Little had a scare in a game Tuesday night, when a shot deflected off his hand, but it does not appear to be an issue moving forward. Little also contributed on the power play, collecting a point with the man advantage. He is owned in just 21 percent of all fantasy leagues polled and could be the perfect fit for your fantasy team if you are looking for someone who can contribute offensively.

Vernon Fidler, left wing, Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars left wing had two goals and four assists over the past week, going on a nice scoring run. Fiddler was also a plus-4 over that span. Fidler has contributed points in five straight games, which at least makes you have to think about him as a fantasy option moving forward. He is owned in just 3 percent of all fantasy leagues polled and should get a look as long as this scoring streak continues.

That will do it for this week's trip through the waiver wire, make sure you check back next week for the Fantasy Hockey Weekly Planner and the Fantasy Hockey Trends, which will help you continue to have success with your fantasy hockey teams in the postseason.
