Quarterback

QB | Josh Freeman | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Transaction, Fantasy
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman said he is not concerned with the future and is excited about the 2013 season. "I'm excited about getting this year going,'' Freeman said. "It has nothing to do with...a contract year, finding out, oh, is he signed for this? What happened? I know God has got a plan for me, it's all going to work out in the end. If I just give it the best I've got regardless...if I give it the best I've got and the Buccaneers say, "Ah, we don't think he can play for us,' at the end of the year and every other team in the NFL does and I end up wherever I end up doing whatever, I'll be content because I'll know I gave it the best I had."

QB | Joe Flacco | Baltimore Ravens | Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco has kept up his strong connection with TE Dennis Pitta during mandatory minicamp. Throwing the ball to Pitta looks like Flacco's default read in the passing game.

Running Back

RB | Trent Richardson | Cleveland Browns | Injury, Fantasy
Updating previous reports, Cleveland Browns RB Trent Richardson (shin) is expected to participate when training camp opens.

RB | Adrian Peterson | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (hernia) said he feels good and is ready for training camp to begin. "Feeling good, feeling strong, feeling 100 percent," Peterson said. "Ready to roll when training camp comes around."

RB | Lamar Miller | Miami Dolphins | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller will have to show he can pass protect and stay healthy during training camp in order to hold off RBs Daniel Thomas and Mike Gillislee for the starting job.

RB | Arian Foster | Houston Texans | Fantasy
A big part of Houston Texans RB Arian Foster's struggles last season can be blamed on the right side of the offensive line. The front five's continuity was broken when Houston had to replace their right tackle and right guard. Foster didn't look as spry in 2012 as he did in the two previous years, but Houston had issues eliminating penetration and sealing the edge. Foster's drop-off in aggressive cut-back runs can be blamed on both his hesitation to execute them and the line's flaws with cut-back blocks last year. Houston also needs to keep aggressive downhill linebackers at bay with more play-action passes.

Fullback

FB | Vonta Leach | Free Agent | Free Agents
Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin is believed to want the team to reach a contract agreement with free-agent FB Vonta Leach (Ravens) by the end of the week.

Wide Receiver

WR | Brad Smith | Buffalo Bills | Depth Chart Tidbit
Buffalo Bills WR Brad Smith lined up exclusively at wide receiver in spring practices.

WR | Malcom Floyd | San Diego Chargers | Fantasy
San Diego Chargers WR Malcom Floyd said he has been running different routes under head coach Mike McCoy because the team wants QB Philip Rivers to get the ball out quicker. "I'm running different routes," Floyd said. "These coaches are really working on my lateral ability, a lot of these drills this offseason, getting in and out of my breaks. It's details like foot placement on curl routes, reprogramming my brain. ... I'm 10 years old in this league, but I feel a lot better than last year. I'm very excited about this upcoming year." Floyd was used as a vertical threat the last few seasons.

WR | Aaron Dobson | New England Patriots | Transaction
New England Patriots WR Aaron Dobson agreed to a contract that will have a cap hit of $623,340 in 2013.

WR | Hakeem Nicks | New York Giants | Fantasy
The New York Giants have talked with WR Hakeem Nicks about a contract extension, but the two sides have not been close to an agreement at this point.

WR | Greg Jennings | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings echoed wide-ranging statements of how impressive WR Cordarrelle Patterson during offseason workouts. Jennings said that Patterson has "that definitive step," meaning a decisive, aggressive move near the top of a route that helps a receiver create separation. It's not necessarily a recommended football move and is often corrected when a receiver is taught to make all his routes look the same in the NFL. However, it can be effective in the right setting as a pinpoint weapon, as it was for Jennings, he said.

WR | Tandon Doss | Baltimore Ravens | Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens WR Tandon Doss frequently ran with starters Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones during last week's mandatory minicamp. It's uncertain whether Baltimore will establish Jones as the No. 2 wideout, which would lessen his duties in the return game, which is a strength of his. Doss still needs to prove himself as an everydown wideout despite the fact he's made a few noteworthy plays in camp.

Tight End

TE | Aaron Hernandez | New England Patriots | Fantasy
Updating an ongoing story, New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez was instructed to leave the team's facility when he showed up Thursday, June 20.

TE | Jake Ballard | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots TE Jake Ballard (knee) is almost 100 percent.

TE | Kellen Winslow | New York Jets | Transaction

TE | Rob Gronkowski | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (forearm, back) could start the regular season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, depending on how his rehab from back and forearm surgeries are going. Gronkowski would have to miss the first six games of the regular season if he started the season on the PUP list.

TE | Dennis Pitta | Baltimore Ravens | Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco has kept up his strong connection with TE Dennis Pitta during mandatory minicamp. Throwing the ball to Pitta looks like Flacco's default read in the passing game.

Place Kicker

PK | Dan Carpenter | Miami Dolphins | Depth Chart Tidbit
Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said the kicker competition between PK Caleb Sturgis and Dan Carpenter will be determined by whichever one is more consistent. Philbin said coaches tracked every kick and kickoff both tried during offseason workouts. Sturgis appears to have the edge entering training camp.

PK | Dan Bailey | Dallas Cowboys | Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys PK Dan Bailey has spent more time in the weight room this spring to add leg strength. He's 5-for-9 on field goal attempts of 50-plus yards over the last two years, while he's 56-for-59 on tries from attempts up to 49 yards.

Offensive Tackle

OT | Michael Roos | Tennessee Titans | Injury
The Tennessee Titans' offensive line still needs to develop chemistry. OTs Michael Roos (back) and David Stewart (leg), and free-agent signee OG Andy Levitre (back) missed team drills. They'll need to be present to develop with rookie guard Chance Warmack.

OT | Duane Brown | Houston Texans | Injury
Houston Texans OT Duane Brown (ankle) is expected to be ready for training camp after having surgery to repair a bone spur in his ankle. The expected recovery time is two-to-four weeks. "I felt it about two months ago but it really didn't bother me that much because it was kind of an annoying irritating thing," Brown said. "The last couple of days of OTAs it became an issue where it kind of affected the way I played and I couldn't perform the way I wanted to. That's when I decided to go ahead with the procedure. I just couldn't really explode off of my right leg like I wanted to. Trying to redirect and things like that."

Defensive Line

DL | Kapron Lewis-Moore | Baltimore Ravens | Injury
Baltimore Ravens DE Kapron Lewis-Moore (knee) likely will start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list because he is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He said he has been able to run in a straight line but is not able to do any cutting.

DL | Ropati Pitoitua | Tennessee Titans | Fantasy
Tennessee Titans DE Ropati Pitoitua could start at defensive end in Week 1. Tennessee plans to rotate Pitoitua with veterans Kamerion Wimbley and Derrick Morgan at one spot. Pitoitua has worked with the first team throughout offseason workouts, and his presence would give Tennessee a bigger D-line presence on early downs.

DL | Cedric Thornton | Philadelphia Eagles | Depth Chart Tidbit
Philadelphia Eagles DE Cedric Thornton appears to be a leading candidate for win one of the starting defensive end jobs entering training camp.

DL | Dion Jordan | Miami Dolphins | Depth Chart Tidbit
Miami Dolphins DEs Dion Jordan and Olivier Vernon will compete for the starting right defensive end job during training camp.

DL | Jared Allen | Minnesota Vikings | Injury
Minnesota Vikings DE Jared Allen (shoulder, knee) LBs Chad Greenway (knee) and Nathan Williams (ankle), C John Sullivan (knee), CBs Jacob Lacey (thumb) and Greg McCoy (hamstring), S Mistral Raymond (hamstring), TE Rhett Ellison (calf) and WR Greg Childs (knees) all did not participate in practice Thursday, June 20.

DL | Anthony Hargrove | Free Agent | Transaction
The Dallas Cowboys released DE Anthony Hargrove Thursday, June 20.

Linebacker

LB | Desmond Bishop | Free Agent | Free Agents
Free-agent LB Desmond Bishop (Packers) said the San Francisco 49ers have contacted him about their interest, but he said they are set at that position.

LB | Mark Herzlich | New York Giants | Depth Chart Tidbit
New York Giants LBs Mark Herzlich, Dan Connor and Aaron Curry could all see time at middle linebacker this season, depending on what type of offense the opponents are running.

LB | Spencer Paysinger | New York Giants | Depth Chart Tidbit
New York Giants LB Spencer Paysinger could win one of the starting outside linebacker if he impresses the coaching during training camp. He worked with the starting defense during offseason workouts because LB Jacquian Williams (knee) was recovering from a knee injury.

LB | Jameel McClain | Baltimore Ravens | Injury, Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens LBs Jameel McClain (back) and Arthur Brown (hernia) are dealing with injuries during minicamp, so Daryl Smith and Josh Bynes have run with the starters. Smith called the signals in Ray Lewis' old role despite just joining the club, and Bynes has been impressive, as well.

Cornerback

CB | Xavier Rhodes | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes, one of their first-round picks in 2013, has earned positive reviews about his ball skills from first-year defensive coordinator Alan Williams. He said that in practice, Rhodes "got his hands on some balls and he's not giving up deep balls. That's the big thing because a lot of guys like to sit on passes and you see them intercept balls and you say 'wow' and then a lot of balls are going over his head. And he's not giving up either. He's tough down low and up top." Williams also said that Rhodes should pair with fellow tall, rangy CB Chris Cook to give the Norse more flexibility on their play-calling.

Strong Safety

SS | Patrick Chung | Philadelphia Eagles | Depth Chart Tidbit
Philadelphia Eagles SS Patrick Chung will enter training camp as a leading candidate for one of the starting safety jobs.
