Quarterback

QB | Ryan Tannehill | Miami Dolphins | Injury, Fantasy
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) threw 10-yard passes in individual drills Friday, Sept. 20.

He should be good to go for Week 3, but he's not a good start in one-QB leagues.

QB | Michael Vick | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury, Fantasy
Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick (ankles) walked gingerly off the field after the last offensive play in Week 3 after he said he rolled over both of his ankles.

Vick didn't sound too concerned about the injuries. He should be fine.

QB | Colin Kaepernick | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick (foot) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

QB | Blaine Gabbert | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury, Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert (hand) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

QB | Tony Romo | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (ribs) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

QB | Geno Smith | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets QB Geno Smith (ankle) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19.

QB | Matt Simms | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said that QB Matt Simms isn't a threat to steal QB Geno Smith's starting job. "Well, I think there are a lot of guys that like Simms, I don't think there's any doubt, but to say as our starting quarterback? I don't see that," Ryan said. "Again, I'm obviously saying that that couldn't happen, but we see Geno as our starting quarterback now, and that's how we see it. We like Matt -- or Phil, if you want." The Jets are happy with Smith's play, other than some miscues, and have acknowledged that he will go through his bumps and bruises as part of the learning experience.

Smith will likely have a long leash, since the Jets see him as the future starter at QB in the long run. Starting him for fantasy purposes would be foolish, though.

QB | Brandon Weeden | Cleveland Browns | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden (thumb) has a sprained thumb that will not require surgery. Weeden could be available to play as soon as Week 4.

Weeden does not have much fantasy value and probably should not be owned outside of deeper leagues. It appears that the team prefers Hoyer, at least for now.

Running Back

RB | Ray Rice | Baltimore Ravens | Injury, Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice (hip) is not practicing Friday, Sept. 20.

There's still a chance he'll play in Week 3. It will probably be a game-time decision.

RB | Reggie Bush | Detroit Lions | Injury, Fantasy
Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush (knee) is practicing Friday, Sept. 20.

This is a great sign that he'll be able to play in Week 3. Get him in your lineups.

RB | Giovani Bernard | Cincinnati Bengals | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard's role is expected to grow in the offense. Offensive coordinator Jay Gruden said Bernard and BenJarvus Green-Ellis should be closer to a 50-50 split in the coming weeks. Gruden feels more comfortable opening the playbook more now that he knows Bernard can handle pass protection.

We alluded to this earlier in the week, and it looks like Green-Ellis' stock is decreasing. Bernard should be owned in most formats, and he could potentially take over as the featured back before the season ends.

RB | Maurice Jones-Drew | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury, Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew's (ankle) status is in doubt for Week 3. He's still experiencing swelling in the ankle. "It still bothers (him) when he goes up on the balls of his feet - he can still feel a little bit of an issue there," head coach Gus Bradley said. "The swelling is what is causing the pain. If we can get that out of there, we'll have a better idea of where he's at."

If he can't go, and it's starting to look like he'll be limited at best, Jordan Todman would start. Denard Robinson would move up the depth chart, and Justin Forsett would remain the third-down back.

RB | Willis McGahee | Cleveland Browns | Fantasy
Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee will play in Week 3. The team's offense is similar to the one he was involved in with the Baltimore Ravens.

We can't speculate how many touches he'll receive, but it's hard to imagine him getting 20 or more without a training camp.

RB | LeSean McCoy | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury, Fantasy
Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) suffered a sprained right ankle in Week 3, but he returned to the game.

He returned to the game and had a long touchdown run. He should be fine.

RB | Chris Johnson | Tennessee Titans | Fantasy
Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson said he is not worried that he is only averaging 3.3 yards per carry so far this season because there are still a lot of games to go. Johnson averaged 1.45 yards per carry in the first three games last season but finished the season 4.5-yard average.

RB | Daryl Richardson | St. Louis Rams | Injury, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams RB Daryl Richardson (foot) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

RB | Shonn Greene | Tennessee Titans | Injury, Fantasy
Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene (knee) and DT Sammie Hill (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

RB | Bilal Powell | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets RB Bilal Powell (illness, shoulder) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19.

RB | Mark Ingram | New Orleans Saints | Injury, Fantasy
New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (toe) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

RB | Stevan Ridley | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots RB Stevan Ridley (shoulder), CB Alfonzo Dennard (ankle), WR Aaron Dobson (hamstring) and S Duron Harmon (hamstring) have been removed from the injury report this week.

RB | Ben Tate | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans RB Ben Tate (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19.

RB | Arian Foster | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (calf) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19.

RB | Le'Veon Bell | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury, Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell (foot) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19. However, Bell doesn't think he'll be able to play in Week 3.

Great news for Bell owners. However, the Steelers could opt to be cautious and keep him out until after their Week 5 bye. Until then, Felix Jones and Isaac Redman will likely share the backfield duties. Neither running back is a very exciting flex play behind a patchwork offensive line.

RB | Rashard Mendenhall | Arizona Cardinals | Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals RB Rashard Mendenhall did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

RB | Eddie Lacy | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) did not practice again Thursday, Sept. 19, and he's a long shot to play in Week 3. RB James Starks will start regardless.

It's highly unlikely that Lacy will return this week, and it may take him several more weeks to come back, depending on how he progresses. Starks will start, but he's a weak flex play in a tough matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

RB | DeMarco Murray | Dallas Cowboys | Fantasy
ESPN NFL analyst Louis Riddick believes that Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray does not do a good job avoiding tacklers in games. "DeMarco is a hard runner, but I have always had some issues with DeMarco because he is very, very, very straight line," Riddick said. "He has no ability to make people miss. "As a matter of fact, you saw numerous times that there were some holes that DeMarco could have got through, but he is a guy who has to gather himself to really make hard, sharp cuts to exploit those running lanes. Sometimes it looks like he's leaning so far forward he's stumbling, his head's down and he'll just run into the back of his own lineman, run into holes where it's obviously clogged up and he's not able to move laterally."

Fullback

FB | John Kuhn | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
If Green Bay Packers FB John Kuhn (hamstring) can't play, Packers coach Mike McCarthy will use tight ends as fill-ins at fullback, particularly TE Andrew Quarless.

FB | Mike Tolbert | Carolina Panthers | Injury, Fantasy
Carolina Panthers FB Mike Tolbert (knee), LB Thomas Davis (leg) and TE Ben Hartsock (foot) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19.

Wide Receiver

WR | Wes Welker | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Eric Decker | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos WR Eric Decker (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Kendall Wright | Tennessee Titans | Injury, Fantasy
Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (concussion) did not practice again Thursday, Sept. 19, but he doesn't think he has a concussion. Wright will visit with a doctor before practice Friday, Sept. 20, and the team expects him to be cleared to practice and play in Week 3 against the San Diego Chargers. WR Damian Williams will serve as the No. 3 receiver and WR Justin Hunter will be the fourth if Wright can't play.

Wright should be a solid play against a weak Chargers secondary if he can suit up. If not, Kenny Britt and Nate Washington receive a boost in value for the week.

WR | Danny Amendola | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (groin) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Eddie Royal | San Diego Chargers | Injury, Fantasy
San Diego Chargers WR Eddie Royal (wrist) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Darrius Heyward-Bey | Indianapolis Colts | Injury, Fantasy
Indianapolis Colts WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (ribs) fully participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Reggie Wayne | Indianapolis Colts | Injury, Fantasy
Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (shoulder) fully participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Malcom Floyd | San Diego Chargers | Injury, Fantasy
San Diego Chargers WR Malcom Floyd (neck) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | T.Y. Hilton | Indianapolis Colts | Injury, Fantasy
Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Dez Bryant | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Updating previous reports, Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (back) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Jeremy Kerley | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley (concussion) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Stephen Hill | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets WR Stephen Hill (knee) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Mike Wallace | Miami Dolphins | Injury, Fantasy
Miami Dolphins WR Mike Wallace (groin) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19. Wallace tweaked his groin in the preseason and aggravated it during practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. However, the injury doesn't appear to be serious.

WR | Roddy White | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Julio Jones | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Marques Colston | New Orleans Saints | Injury, Fantasy
New Orleans Saints WR Marques Colston (foot) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 19.

You should fully expect Colston to play in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. However, the matchup against Patrick Peterson is enough to consider going with other options at wide receiver this week. Drew Brees can spread it around to others if need be.

WR | Julian Edelman | New England Patriots | Fantasy
New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman will draw a matchup against Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Darrelle Revis in Week 3, but the two might not be matched up on each other for the entire game, as Bucs head coach Greg Schiano has mixed man and zone coverage in. Edelman is tied for the league lead in receptions with 20.

You should temper your expectations for Edelman's output this weekend, but in point-per-reception formats, it'll be hard to outright bench him given the lack of proven success of the rest of the Patriots wideouts.

WR | Brandon Marshall | Chicago Bears | Injury, Fantasy
Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall (back) left practice Thursday, Sept. 19, with a sore back.

Obviously something to keep an eye on as the week moves on, but that this point, there is no reason to think he will not play in Week 3.

WR | Larry Fitzgerald | Arizona Cardinals | Injury, Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

Check back as we head into the weekend, but be prepared to have a backup plan if Fitzgerald canít go. Even if he can play, there is a good chance he will be limited again.

WR | Andre Johnson | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, Sept. 19, and is expected to start in Week 3.

Johnson is a must start in all fantasy football formats.

WR | Santonio Holmes | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes (foot) got a scheduled day off from practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

WR | Antonio Brown | Pittsburgh Steelers | Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown and offensive coordinator Todd Haley reportedly met and smoothed over the tension after a sideline argument in Week 2. "We're good," Brown said. "We just talked about some things we could do better as a whole and what we could do to get on the right page to start winning." Brown voiced his frustration to Haley in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals because he felt he wasn't getting the ball enough. Brown caught a team-high six passes and was thrown to nine times in the game.

Tight End

TE | Delanie Walker | Tennessee Titans | Breaking, Fantasy
Attorneys for San Francisco 49ers LB Aldon Smith and former 49ers TE Delanie Walker have filed a response to a civil lawsuit filed by a Northern California man who says he was shot during a party at Smith's house. The San Jose Mercury News reports the attorneys allege that plaintiff Ronndale Esporlas "freely and voluntarily exposed himself to all risks of harm" by attending the party.

TE | Vernon Davis | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers TE Vernon Davis (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

TE | Marcedes Lewis | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury, Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis (calf) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

TE | Zach Sudfeld | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots TE Zach Sudfeld (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

TE | Rob Gronkowski | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back, forearm) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

TE | Martellus Bennett | Chicago Bears | Injury, Fantasy
Chicago Bears TE Martellus Bennett (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

TE | Kellen Winslow | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets TE Kellen Winslow (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

TE | Heath Miller | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury, Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (knee) practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Sept. 19, and he has a chance of playing in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears.

TE | Rob Housler | Arizona Cardinals | Injury, Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals TE Rob Housler (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

TE | Owen Daniels | Houston Texans | Fantasy
Houston Texans TE Owen Daniels (rest) was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

TE | Garrett Graham | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans OT Duane Brown (toe) and TE Garrett Graham (hip, groin) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

TE | Dwayne Allen | Indianapolis Colts | Injury, Transaction, Fantasy
The Indianapolis Colts placed TE Dwayne Allen (hip) on the season-ending Injured Reserve list Thursday, Sept. 19, and signed free-agent WR Danny Coale (Cowboys) to the practice squad in a corresponding move.

TE | Jermichael Finley | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Green Bay Packers TE Jermichael Finley (toe) returned to practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

We suspect that the Pack was just resting Finley in practice yesterday. Unless he suffers a setback, expect Finley to start in Week 3.

Place Kicker

PK | Kai Forbath | Washington Redskins | Injury, Fantasy
Washington Redskins PK Kai Forbath (groin) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 19.
