Quarterback

QB | Eli Manning | New York Giants | Injury, Fantasy
New York Giants QB Eli Manning said he feels good physically after taking a beating in the team's Week 3 game. Manning was sacked seven times in the team's loss to the Carolina Panthers. "I was able to do everything today," Manning said. "That's not the problem. I'll be fine."

QB | Peyton Manning | Denver Broncos | Fantasy
Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw 12 touchdown passes in the first three games of the season after putting up an 86.5 completion percentage in the Week 3 win over the Oakland Raiders Monday, Sept. 23. The Broncos have scored 127 points and put up 1,460 yards in three weeks, which are the second- and fourth-best marks in history. Manning was 32-for-37 for 374 yards and three touchdowns against the Raiders.

QB | Geno Smith | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets QB Geno Smith had four 40-plus-yard completions in Week 3. The team had nine 40-plus-yard completions combined in 2011 and 2012.

QB | Terrelle Pryor | Oakland Raiders | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (concussion) was diagnosed with a concussion in Week 3. His status for Week 4 is unknown.

Running Back

RB | C.J. Spiller | Buffalo Bills | Fantasy
Buffalo Bills RB C.J. Spiller (thigh) has been frustrated with the lack of a running game through three games. Spiller rushed only 10 times for nine yards before leaving with an injury. "They pretty much put a lot of people in the box and dared our passing game to beat them," Spiller said. Rookie QB EJ Manuel was just 19-for-42 and was sacked eight times in the loss to the New York Jets in Week 3.

As Jerry Sullivan and Spiller note, teams will likely continue to put extra defenders in the box to stop Spiller and Fred Jackson and force Manuel to beat them. The Baltimore Ravens in Week 4 figure to use this strategy. It could be another tough contest, as the Ravens haven't allowed a passing touchdown in the last two weeks.

RB | Kenjon Barner | Carolina Panthers | Injury, Fantasy
Carolina Panthers RB Kenjon Barner (foot) is back at practice Tuesday, Sept. 24.

RB | Andre Brown | New York Giants | Injury, Fantasy
New York Giants RB Andre Brown (leg) said he's a few days ahead of schedule in his rehab from a broken leg. He's out of the walking boot but can't return until at least Nov. 10.

RB | Eddie Lacy | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) is expected to be ready to play in Week 5, after the team's bye week this week.

RB | Frank Gore | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore (knee) was listed as a full participant for practice Monday, Sept. 23.

RB | Daryl Richardson | St. Louis Rams | Injury, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams RB Daryl Richardson (foot) was listed as a limited participant in practice Monday, Sept. 23.

If Richardson cannot play in the Week 4 game against the San Francisco 49ers, RBs Benny Cunningham, Isaiah Pead and perhaps Zac Stacy would each split the carries.

RB | Steven Jackson | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons RB Steven Jackson (hamstring) is expected to miss the Week 4 game against the New England Patriots, and he might miss another two to three weeks, according to a league source. The team has a bye in Week 6, so he might be held out until Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Oct. 20. Jackson suffered a setback in Week 2 against the St. Louis Rams, exiting that game immediately. His injury was originally called a thigh injury.

With Jackson sidelined, RBs Jacquizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling will continue to fill in. The duo combined for 139 rushing yards in Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.

RB | James Starks | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Green Bay Packers RB James Starks (knee) underwent an MRI Monday, Sept. 23, on the knee injury he suffered during the team's Week 3 game. He said he does not think he would be able play if the team had a game Week 4.

RB | Chris Ivory | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous report, New York Jets RB Chris Ivory's (hamstring) hamstring injury is to the same hamstring he injured during training camp but at a different spot. The team is expecting Ivory to miss some time because he was slow to recover from his first hamstring injury.

Bilal Powell likely will get most of the carries if Ivory has to miss games. Powell is probably owned in all fantasy leagues and should at least be considered for the starting lineup each week.

RB | Michael Bush | Chicago Bears | Fantasy
Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman said RB Michael Bush has been declared as the team's goal line running back.

This news should give Bush some added value in most fantasy leagues, but he still likely will receive limited touches during games. Bush can be considered as a weak flex option in deeper leagues.

RB | Alex Green | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets RB Alex Green worked as the No. 2 running back behind RB Bilal Powell in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills when RB Chris Ivory (hamstring) injured his hamstring in the first quarter. Green had 14 yards on five carries.

RB | Ray Rice | Baltimore Ravens | Injury, Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said RB Ray Rice (hip) has a chance to play Week 4.

Owners will have to monitor his practice participation this week to get a better idea of his status for the game. If he does play, he should be in the starting lineup but may be more like a No. 2 running back because he could lose some carries to Bernard Pierce.

Wide Receiver

WR | Greg Little | Cleveland Browns | Fantasy
The Detroit Lions could look to trade for Cleveland Browns WRs Josh Gordon or Greg Little or Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt after WR Nate Burleson (arm) suffered a broken arm. The Browns have said that they aren't looking to deal Gordon or Little, though.

This is pure speculation at this point. Gordon is highly unlikely to be dealt. Little and Britt make more sense, but Britt's dropped passes and attitude concerns make him a risky acquisition. Little and Britt would receive a value boost if they were given the chance to start over with a new squad.

WR | Nate Burleson | Detroit Lions | Injury, Fantasy
Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said the team will not be putting WR Nate Burleson (arm) on Injured Reserve at this point. The team will wait until after Burleson has surgery to make that call.

WR | Steve Smith | Carolina Panthers | Injury, Fantasy
Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith (hip) is not at practice Tuesday, Sept. 24.

WR | Pierre Garcon | Washington Redskins | Fantasy
Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon is the second-most targeted receiver in the NFL with 37 targets. He is fifth in the league with 127 yards after the catch.

WR | Danny Amendola | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (groin) is progressing very well, according to a source.

It's still unknown how long he'll be out, but his movement has improved. It might be another week or two.

WR | Chris Givens | St. Louis Rams | Injury, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams WR Chris Givens (knee) was listed as having not practiced Monday, Sept. 23, due to a knee ailment.

WR | Demaryius Thomas | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (foot) limped off to the bench in the first quarter of the Week 3 game against the Oakland Raiders Monday, Sept. 23, due to a left foot injury.

WR | Roddy White | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle) played a season-high 47 plays in the team's Week 3 loss to the Miami Dolphins and was targeted four times and had two catches for 16 yards.

More snaps for White probably means he's getting healthier, but he still doesn't appear to be at a level to trust him in your starting lineup. Be patient and build depth around him until we see more out of him. Until then, Harry Douglas could benefit.

WR | Cordarrelle Patterson | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson played in only 19 of the team's 79 offensive snaps in Week 3.

WR | Andre Johnson | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson (shin) is being listed as day-to-day with a shin injury. He was injured in the second quarter of Week 2 and did not return against the Baltimore Ravens. Johnson has 25 catches for 258 yards and no touchdowns this season.

WR | Dwayne Harris | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys WR Dwayne Harris (hip) injured his hip in the first half of the team's Week 3 game and was replaced by WR Cole Beasley.

Tight End

TE | Heath Miller | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury, Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (knee) won't be restricted in the team's Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Miller looked good in his season debut in Week 3, and he's a great safety valve for Ben Roethlisberger. Miller should be owned in most leagues as a decent backup TE.

TE | Julius Thomas | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos TE Julius Thomas (undisclosed) left the Week 3 game in the third quarter against the Oakland Raiders Monday, Sept. 23, due to an undisclosed injury. He took himself out of the game and immediately headed to the bench for attention from the training staff.

TE | Vernon Davis | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers TE Vernon Davis (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant for practice Monday, Sept. 23.

The absence of Davis in Week 3 was noticeable, and if he can go in Week 4 it would be big for his real team and fantasy owners. The team will have more than a walkthrough Tuesday, and we'll get a better idea of his status then.

TE | Marcedes Lewis | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury, Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said chances are getting better for TE Marcedes Lewis (calf) to play because the most recent MRI on his calf only shows scar tissue.
