QB | Sam Bradford | St. Louis Rams | Injury, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said QB Sam Bradford (knee) should be fully recovery by the start of the 2014 regular season.
QB | Matt Schaub | Houston Texans | Fantasy
Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said QB Matt Schaub is the team's starting quarterback at this point, but that he will evaluate the position during the team's Week 8 bye. Kubiak said QB Case Keenum played very well in the team's Week 7 game.
QB | Matt Barkley | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury, Fantasy
Philadelphia Eagles QB Matt Barkley could start in Week 8 against the New York Giants if QBs Michael Vick (hamstring) and Nick Foles (concussion) can't play. "My decision on who our quarterback is is based on health," head coach Chip Kelly said. "Right now, I don't who's healthy or who's not healthy. Until we find out who's healthy, it doesn't help anybody to say, 'That guy's our starter.' It doesn't help the situation."
Barkley tossed three interceptions after replacing Foles against the Dallas Cowboys. If he's forced to start this weekend, you'd be wise to downgrade DeSean Jackson and the rest of Philly's offensive weapons.
QB | Brandon Weeden | Cleveland Browns | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden said he has not been told if he will start in the team's Week 8 game.
QB | Jay Cutler | Chicago Bears | Injury, Breaking, Fantasy
Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (groin) will miss at least four weeks because of a torn groin muscle.
Josh McCown likely will fill in as the starting quarterback while Cutler is out of the lineup. McCown will not be more than a matchup play in fantasy leagues while he is starting.
QB | Kellen Clemens | St. Louis Rams | Fantasy
St. Louis Rams QB Kellen Clemens is expected to start at quarterback with QB Sam Bradford (knee) out for the rest of the season.
Avoid Clemens everywhere, unless you're in a cavernous league that starts two QBs. Wideouts Chris Givens, Austin Pettis and Tavon Austin should be bumped down in your weekly rankings now, too.
QB | Tim Tebow | Free Agent | Transaction, Free Agents, Fantasy
The St. Louis Rams are not believed to be interested in free-agent QB Tim Tebow (Patriots), at least according to Jason La Canfora, who does not believe head coach Jeff Fisher would consider the move.
RB | Jonathan Stewart | Carolina Panthers | Injury, Fantasy
Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (ankle) posted on his official Twitter account Monday, Oct. 21, that he will have his first day of practice Tuesday, Oct. 22, in almost a year.
Stewart's status for Week 8 is uncertain, and his fantasy value is negligible as it stands whether he plays or not. DeAngelo Williams has played fairly well, and Mike Tolbert has been solid around the goal line. If and when Stewart plays, he is likely to be eased into action and have limited fantasy appeal.
RB | Ben Tate | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans RB Ben Tate (ribs) said he is dealing with four broken ribs but expects to play after the team's Week 8 bye.
RB | Lance Dunbar | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said RB Lance Dunbar (hamstring) should be able to practice this week and play Week 8.
RB | Doug Martin | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Injury, Fantasy
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano said he does not believe RB Doug Martin (shoulder) will miss the rest of the season because of his shoulder injury.
RB | Steven Jackson | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons RB Steven Jackson (hamstring) is expected to return to practice Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Great news to see Jackson get back on the practice field. Keep an eye on practice reports later in the week to get a better idea of how close he is to returning to game action.
RB | Arian Foster | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) has what is being described as a minor hamstring pull. It will not be known if he misses any time until at least Wednesday or Thursday of this week.
RB | Daniel Thomas | Miami Dolphins | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said RB Daniel Thomas got more carries and started in the team's Week 7 game because of the type of plays the team was running.
RB | Lamar Miller | Miami Dolphins | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller is still the team's starting running back, according to head coach Joe Philbin.
RB | Mike James | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Injury, Fantasy
Updating previous reports, Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (shoulder) is likely to miss several weeks with what is initially being deemed a serious shoulder injury.
There are reports that Martin may have a torn labrum, so this could be something more serious than just a few weeks - it could be season-ending. Mike James should be picked up in all formats, but temper your expectations. Martin wasn't playing particularly well in the dismal offense. James shouldn't be viewed as more than a RB3 or flex player.
RB | Chris Ivory | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets RB Chris Ivory was leaned upon heavily in the Week 7 overtime victory against the New England Patriots, posting a career-high 34 carries for 104 yards. RB Bilal Powell, who had been the primary ball carrier, managed just three touches. "Bilal only carried three times but Ivory had the hot hand and we fed him," head coach Rex Ryan said Sunday, Oct. 20. "We rode Ivory a little more than normal, but it was a good game."
If Ivory can duplicate this type of production, he would be a solid RB2 or flex play in all fantasy formats. However, don't discount Powell just yet, as he showed earlier this season while Ivory was sidelined, that he could carry the mail and do it well. Keep him reserved, but don't drop him just yet.
RB | Bernard Pierce | Baltimore Ravens | Injury, Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens RB Bernard Pierce (leg) aggravated a leg injury in the Week 7 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he was not concerned after the game. "It's a little banged up, but I'll be fine," Pierce said Sunday, Oct. 20. "I'll get through. It's been lingering on the side of my leg."
WR | Josh Gordon | Cleveland Browns | Transaction, Fantasy
At least three teams have contacted the Cleveland Browns about trading for WR Josh Gordon, and two have standing offers of a high pick and a player. The Browns are reportedly balking.
WR | Percy Harvin | Seattle Seahawks | Injury, Fantasy
The Seattle Seahawks plan to take a cautious approach with WR Percy Harvin (hip), who will return to practice this week. The team will now have three weeks to decide whether to take him off the Physically Unable to Perform list and add him to the active roster. Head coach Pete Carroll does not want to bring him back until he's 100 percent ready to play.
Harvin should be owned in all leagues. However, temper your expectations with the Seahawks taking a slow and cautious approach with his recovery. He may not realistically be at full speed until next season.
WR | Brandon LaFell | Carolina Panthers | Injury, Fantasy
Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell (knee) was limited in practice Monday, Oct. 21.
There is no official update on the severity of LaFell's injury yet, but we're guessing it's unlikely to keep him from playing in Week 8 Thursday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
WR | Miles Austin | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett indicated the team could hold WR Miles Austin (hamstring) out until he is fully recovered from his hamstring injury. "He really had a good start to the season, had some good explosiveness and quickness to him and was productive for us. Then he tweaked his hamstring a couple of weeks ago and hasn't been the same. We've got to make sure we get him healthy and hopefully we can do that and have some other guys play for him until he's ready to really roll," Garrett said.
Owners will have to watch his practice participation as well as the inactive list to see if Austin is healthy enough to play in the next few weeks.
WR | Keenan Allen | San Diego Chargers | Injury, Fantasy
San Diego Chargers head coach Mike McCoy said WR Keenan Allen (shoulder) is fine after injuring his shoulder in Week 7.
The bye week is this weekend, so Allen will have some extra time to return to 100 percent health for Week 9 against the Washington Redskins.
WR | Danny Amendola | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion, groin) said he is doing well but there is no timetable for his return at this point.
It does not appear like Amendola will be able to play Week 8, but owners should monitor his practice participation during the week to see if he has a chance to play.
WR | James Jones | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said he hopes WR James Jones (knee) will be able to play Week 8 but will know more Wednesday, Oct. 23. McCarthy indicated the doctors expected Jones to miss two to three weeks.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith did not provide any update on WR Roddy White's (ankle, hamstring) status for Week 8.
WR | Reggie Wayne | Indianapolis Colts | Injury, Fantasy
Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano thinks WR Reggie Wayne (knee) will not see his career end after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament and torn meniscus in the team's Week 7 game. "He'll be back," Pagano said. "I know how he's wired."
TE | Jermichael Finley | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers RB Jermichael Finley (spine) suffered a bruised spinal cord in his neck in the Week 7 game against the Cleveland Browns. While all signs have been encouraging after undergoing further tests Monday, Oct. 21, his evaluation will be an extensive process, according to league sources, with his return indefinite.
TE | Jake Ballard | Free Agent | Free Agents, Fantasy
The Kansas City Chiefs will work out free-agent TE Jake Ballard (Patriots) Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) was limited in practice Monday, Oct. 21.
TE | Jimmy Graham | New Orleans Saints | Injury, Fantasy
New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (foot) is uncertain to play in Week 8. If the team had played in Week 7, it would have been hard for him to suit up.
