Quarterback

QB | Tom Brady | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (shoulder) practiced Friday, Oct. 25.

QB | Ryan Tannehill | Miami Dolphins | Injury, Fantasy
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

QB | Josh Freeman | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings QB Josh Freeman (concussion) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

QB | Peyton Manning | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning (ankle) practiced in full Thursday, Oct. 24.

Manning was kept out for precautionary reasons Wednesday. He's a must-start, as always.

QB | Michael Vick | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury, Fantasy
Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick (hamstring) is set to run a 100-yard dash Friday, Oct. 25, to prove he is ready to return in Week 8 against the New York Giants. "I'm going to run 100 yards as fast as I can," Vick said. "I'm going to try to cut it, make some sudden movement in the pocket and see what happens." It'll be his first time running full speed since he hurt his left hamstring Oct. 6. He has taken the first-team repetitions at practice this week.

Vick will start this weekend unless he suffers a setback tomorrow during his running session. Start him as a low-end QB1.

QB | Nick Foles | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury, Fantasy
Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles (concussion) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

QB | Colin Kaepernick | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick (foot) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

QB | Geno Smith | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan continues to say that QB Geno Smith is the team's starting quarterback on a week-to-week basis despite raving about his improved play and the fact that he can "make all the throws." "I'm definitely ready to say he's our starting quarterback this week against Cincinnati," the coach said playfully. Smith currently has more wins than New York Giants QB Eli Manning, a higher completion percentage than New England Patriots QB Tom Brady and more 40-plus-yard passes than New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees and Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck. However, he's also third in the league in interceptions with 11.

We don't buy that Smith is still on a week-to-week basis as the team's starting QB. This is his team, and they'll sink or swim with him. He'll make for a frustrating play as a backup QB thanks to the learning curve that he'll be on in his rookie season.

Running Back

RB | Jason Snelling | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring, ankle) and RB Jason Snelling (ankle) are not practicing Friday, Oct. 25.

RB | Reggie Bush | Detroit Lions | Injury, Fantasy
Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush (quadriceps) is sitting out of practice Friday, Oct. 25. He came onto the field late in practice with ice wrapped above his right knee.

Consider it precautionary until we hear anything more. It was Bush's left knee that bothered him earlier in the season.

RB | C.J. Spiller | Buffalo Bills | Injury, Fantasy
Buffalo Bills RB C.J. Spiller (ankle) is not practicing Friday, Oct. 25.

He'll probably be a gametime decision. However, his ineffectiveness probably makes him a RB3 if he goes.

RB | Willis McGahee | Cleveland Browns | Injury, Fantasy
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) is back at practice Friday, Oct. 25.

RB | Doug Martin | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Injury, Fantasy
According to a source, Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (shoulder) could miss two weeks to two months with his shoulder injury.

This is actually good news, considering it was reported that he was out for the season. Hold on to him for now, but with his team at 0-7, it's hard to imagine them rushing him back.

RB | Adrian Peterson | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

RB | Rashard Mendenhall | Arizona Cardinals | Injury, Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals RB Rashard Mendenhall (toe) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

Mendenhall has been ineffective this season and now has an injury going against him. He's an RB3 or flex, at best. Andre Ellington has much more upside, especially in point-per-reception formats.

RB | Steven Jackson | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons RB Steven Jackson (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

RB | DeMarco Murray | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (knee) practiced for the second straight day Thursday, Oct. 24, and appears to be on track to start in Week 8 against the Detroit Lions.

Murray may be limited in some fashion, but the Cowboys are unlikely to start him if he isn't ready. Check back tomorrow and Sunday for his final status, but if he's playing, he should be in your lineups.

RB | David Wilson | New York Giants | Injury, Fantasy
New York Giants RB David Wilson (neck) has been ruled out for Week 8.

Those that are stashing Wilson need to keep in mind that Andre Brown (leg) is also nearing a return. The G-Men's backfield position is likely to change drastically in the coming weeks.

RB | Brandon Jacobs | New York Giants | Injury, Fantasy
New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs (hamstring), who missed practice for the second straight day Thursday, Oct. 24, said it "feels good" but won't commit to returning in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles because "hamstrings are tricky."

Don't expect to rely on Jacobs this weekend. Peyton Hillis looked good in his debut in Week 7 and should receive the majority of touches again against the Eagles. Hillis is a flex play in deeper leagues.

Wide Receiver

WR | Roddy White | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring, ankle) and RB Jason Snelling (ankle) are not practicing Friday, Oct. 25.

WR | Danny Amendola | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion) practiced Friday, Oct. 25.

WR | Mario Manningham | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said WR Mario Manningham (knee) is close to being activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list, but that's unlikely to happen for Week 8.

WR | Cecil Shorts | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury, Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts (shoulder) practiced Friday, Oct. 25, and he's probable for Week 8.

WR | Justin Blackmon | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury, Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon (hamstring) didn't practice Friday, Oct. 25, but he's probable for Week 8.

WR | Josh Gordon | Cleveland Browns | Fantasy
Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Norv Turner said he believes WR Josh Gordon's play is being affected by the trade rumors involving him. "I would hope not, but I'm realistic to know that it does," Turner said. "He's a young guy. He's not very experienced. He wasn't the go-to guy as a young player, so this is all a new thing for him. I think when you add those things to it, it can affect him. Obviously, we're doing our best to focus and let him understand that he's our guy, and we want him to be as good as he can get."

WR | Andrew Hawkins | Cincinnati Bengals | Injury, Fantasy
Cincinnati Bengals WR Andrew Hawkins (ankle) said he is encouraged by how his ankle has responded after taking part in practice but is not sure when he will be activated from the Injured Reserve/Designated to Return list. Hawkins is eligible to be activated before the team's Week 9 game, but the team has three weeks to make a decision.

WR | Marvin Jones | Cincinnati Bengals | Injury, Fantasy
Cincinnati Bengals WR Marvin Jones' (shoulder) status for Week 8 is uncertain because he missed the last two days of practice with his shoulder injury.

WR | Golden Tate | Seattle Seahawks | Injury, Fantasy
Seattle Seahawks WR Golden Tate (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

WR | Julian Edelman | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (thigh) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

WR | Dwayne Bowe | Kansas City Chiefs | Injury, Fantasy
Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (groin) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

Bowe was added to the injury report, but it doesn't appear to be a significant ailment. Keep tabs on his status tomorrow, but all nothing, as of now, would indicate that he's in jeopardy of missing the game against the Cleveland Browns.

WR | Alshon Jeffery | Chicago Bears | Fantasy
Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery is tied with Denver Broncos WR Eric Decker for the most receiving yards in the league in the last five weeks, with 561. Jeffery leads his team in yards over WR Brandon Marshall (540).

Jeffery has been one of the nice suprises for fantasy owners this year, but his value may have already reached its peak now that Jay Cutler (groin) is out. Jeffery is unlikely to be as productive with Josh McCown running the offense.

WR | Lance Moore | New Orleans Saints | Injury, Fantasy
New Orleans Saints S Malcolm Jenkins (back) and WR Lance Moore (hand) practiced in full Thursday, Oct. 24.

WR | James Jones | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Green Bay Packers WR James Jones (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

WR | Larry Fitzgerald | Arizona Cardinals | Injury, Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) practiced in full Thursday, Oct. 24.

WR | Dez Bryant | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (hamstring, wrist) returned to a full practice Thursday, Oct. 24, and should be fine.

Bryant will be fine for this weekend and is a must-start.

WR | Miles Austin | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys WR Miles Austin (hamstring) limited in practice again Thursday, Oct. 24.

Austin will likely be questionable for Week 8, and he remains a very risky play. Bump up Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley in your weekly rankings against the Detroit Lions. They both make for intriguing flex options.

WR | Calvin Johnson | Detroit Lions | Injury, Fantasy
Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

Megatron was taking a rest day yesterday. He's fine to play this weekend and should be in all lineups.

WR | Nate Burleson | Detroit Lions | Injury, Fantasy
Detroit Lions WR Nate Burleson (forearm) and OT Corey Hilliard (knee) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 24. Burleson has been ruled out for Week 8.

WR | Leonard Hankerson | Washington Redskins | Injury, Fantasy
Washington Redskins WR Leonard Hankerson (foot) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 24, and said he will play in Week 8 against the Denver Broncos. Hankerson hurt his right foot Monday, Oct. 21, while racing his kids down the stairs. His foot is slightly bruised.

Hankerson will play Sunday against Denver. Consider him in your flex position with a nice matchup.

WR | Eric Decker | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos WR Eric Decker (toe) practiced in full Thursday, Oct. 24.

Wednesday was clearly a rest day for Denver's banged up stars. Decker's injury is not serious.

WR | Wes Welker | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

As expected, Welker returned to practice. There shouldn't be anything to worry about here. Keep him in your lineups.

Tight End

TE | Jeff Cumberland | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets TE Jeff Cumberland (hamstring) said he will be fine for Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals after being limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 24. WR Jeremy Kerley (hamstring) was also limited as a precaution and said he'll be fine.

TE | Heath Miller | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury, Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

TE | Rob Gronkowski | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back, forearm) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

TE | Anthony Fasano | Kansas City Chiefs | Injury, Fantasy
Kansas City Chiefs TE Anthony Fasano (knee, ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.

TE | Jimmy Graham | New Orleans Saints | Injury, Fantasy
New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (foot) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 24, and the likelihood of him playing in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills decreased. TE Benjamin Watson may start in Graham's place if he cannot play. Watson had three catches for 61 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 6 when Graham was blanketed in coverage.

Watson could pick up some of the slack, but as Larry Holder notes, he'll likely be used to block frequently, too. Marques Colston should be primed for a big game, and Kenny Stills and Nick Toon are sleeper options that could make some big plays if Graham doesn't play.

TE | Brandon Pettigrew | Detroit Lions | Injury, Fantasy
Detroit Lions TE Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 24, with a sore hamstring. TE Joseph Fauria, the only backup on roster, is strictly a pass-catching tight end that has been effective out of the slot.

It doesn't appear that Pettigrew's injury is serious, so expect him to suit up in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys - a solid matchup. Both Pettigrew and Fauria are flex options, with Pettigrew a safer option.

TE | Jordan Reed | Washington Redskins | Injury, Fantasy
Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hip) practiced in full Thursday, Oct. 24.

TE | Jermichael Finley | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Green Bay Packers TE Jermichael Finley (spine) was released from a hospital Thursday, Oct. 24, and returned to his home in Green Bay. He faces a long medical evaluation process before he has any thoughts about returning to the field. Head coach Mike McCarthy said no decision will be made until all of Finley's medical reports are in.
