Assessing all the fantasy baseball closers....

The Detroit Tigers acquired Joakim Soria from the Texas Rangers in exchange for RP Corey Knebel and minor league SP Jake Thompson.

See ya, Soria

Joe Nathan will remain Detroit's closer, but despite his recent improvement, he's been shaky enough that fantasy owners shouldn't drop Soria just yet. This could at least fall back into a tandem situation. Still, it's an initial blow to Soria's value without further developments.

Neftali Feliz takes over in Texas. He hasn't yet caught up in his strikeout punch from pre-Tommy John form, but his swinging-strike rate of 10.7, per Fangraphs, says he's on his way to doing so. He's a fine grab for the rest of the season and is the presumptive favorite in 2015. (Watch out for fast-riser Corey Knebel, though.)

... Zach Britton had trouble straightening his right (non-pitching) arm after being hit by a comebacker Monday night. He fought through it to record the save that night. We'll keep you posted as we learn more about the Baltimore Orioles stopper's condition.
