With fantasy basketball trade deadlines in sight, it becomes very easy to succumb to a trade offer. Trading is fun in fantasy sports but not always necessary.

Go to the expanded standings at your fantasy league's homepage and see what can help and hurt you. A trade does not always solve problems. This is the time to look at player’s statistics from the last few weeks. Playing time is key.

Be careful when making trades this week because fantasy can meet reality. Players can be moved to entirely new systems that can affect them positively or negatively.
