Rays | Pitchers combine for 185 pitches, one run allowed

The Tampa Bay Rays used five pitchers combining for 185 total pitches Friday, June 8, against the Miami Marlins in a win. SP Jeremy Hellickson allowed one earned run, five hits and a career-high seven walks while striking out three in just 4 1/3 innings. However, the Marlins were 0-for-5 against Hellickson with runners in scoring position. RP Burke Badenhop picked up the win in relief against his former team, allowing just one hit in 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief. RPs Jake McGee, Joel Peralta and Fernando Rodney also chipped in with one scoreless inning apiece. "The bullpen was fantastic," Maddon said. "The star of the game: Badenhop."
