White Sox | Tyler Flowers making change
Chicago White Sox C Tyler Flowers was in a 1-for-28 slump entering Wednesday, April 17, and decided to make a change to his stance after working with manager Robin Ventura. "I'll have a little open stance, stand a little taller, and it feels great," the catcher said. "We'll have to see if it reacts and everything is the same in a game. It's one reaction from one set of BP and flips. You get in game, the adrenaline and situation might change a bit." He has 16 strikeouts in 37 at-bats to start the year.
Fantasy Tip: Flowers has been known to strike out way too much, but the White Sox and fantasy owners have to be intrigued with the pop that he delivers. The stance change made an immediate impact, as Flowers homered in his first at-bat Wednesday. He'll need to show improvement against righties, too, before he can be considered anything more than a No. 2 catcher, though.
