Yankees | Curtis Granderson has fractured knuckle

Updating a previous report, New York Yankees OF Curtis Granderson (finger) had X-rays after the game Friday, May 24, which revealed a fracture of the fifth metacarpal. In other words, he has a fractured knuckle on his left pinkie finger.

Fantasy Tip: It's uncertain how much time Granderson will be forced to miss, but fantasy owners should be prepared for another disabled list stint for the Grandy man. Friday night was only his eighth game of the season after missing the first 38 games of the season recovering from a broken right forearm he suffered early in spring training. Alex Rodriguez missed 36 games last year with the same injury.

This is good news for Ichiro Suzuki and Vernon Wells owners that held onto them after the return of Granderson. They'll both return to consistent playing time in the outfield and should be owned in most mixed leagues, assuming Granderson heads back to the DL. Travis Hafner should return to full-time designated hitter duties for the most part, too.
