Redskins | More on Robert Griffin
Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan reiterated Monday, Aug. 12, that QB Robert Griffin III (knee) will not play during preseason games, stating there is "no possibility" the recovering quarterback will play until the regular season. "Our plan is to play him Week 1," Shanahan said. "I want to play him Week 1. I think we have a good game plan."
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners might feel all warm and fuzzy inside seeing their draft pick prove his health, even if just for a series, and Griffin has been pushing to play. However, this is great news for everyone involved, especially the way other players without pre-existing injuries have been dropping like flies.
