Eagles | Riley Cooper losing PT
Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper played 75 percent of the snaps and was targeted just once in the team's Week 5 win over the New York Giants. In the first four games, he had played 93 percent of the offensive snaps and averaged 4 1/2 targets and two catches. Cooper has eight grabs for 93 yards and a touchdown this year. Head coach Chip Kelly and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur have defended Cooper, but WR Jeff Maehl has seen his playing time go up recently. Maehl's snaps have gone from 12 to 20 in the last two weeks. Shurmur said Maehl is "more familiar" with the offensive game plan which "makes him be able to go in there and execute faster." The team plans to continue to increase the repetitions for Maehl, which will likely hurt Cooper.
Fantasy Tip: Cooper should have only been owned in very deep leagues as wide receiver depth. Maehl fits a very similar profile.
