Fri, 25 Jul 2014 22:04:02 -0700

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kevin Harvick has made 13 career starts at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, winning once with four Top 5s, seven Top 10s and 12 Top 20 finishes. His Average Finish Position for 10.92 is fourth among all active drivers.

Stewart-Haas Racing | Tony Stewart tops driver averages at Indy

Fri, 25 Jul 2014 22:03:19 -0700

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Tony Stewart tops all active drivers at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a 7.93 Average Finish Position. In 15 career starts he has two wins, seven Top 5s, 11 Top 10s and 14 Top 20 finishes. The worst Stewart has ever finishes at Indianapolis is 23rd.

FANTASY TIP: Stewart is desperate for a victory to clinch a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Series championship. Stewart is a solid fantasy selection, especially in leagues which restrict number of times you can use a driver.

Stewart-Haas Racing | Kurt Busch looks for good Indy result

Fri, 25 Jul 2014 22:02:35 -0700

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kurt Busch competed in the Indianapolis 500 in the IndyCar Series in May. He was sixth in that race, but hasn't finished in the Top 10 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the Sprint Cup Series since 2003. "I have a greater appreciation for the speedway, and I hope the respect I show it this weekend will help me bounce up on some of my results here at the track," Busch said Friday, July 25. "It's been tough in a stock car here for me."

FANTASY TIP: Busch traditionally hasn't fared very well at the track, and there are better fantasy options such as Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart.

Joe Gibbs Racing | Matt Kenseth feels team getting closer

Fri, 25 Jul 2014 22:01:37 -0700

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Matt Kenseth had seven Sprint Cup Series wins last season, but he is winless through the first 19 races this season. However, he sees the Crown Royal Presents, The John Wayne Walding 400 at the Brickyard at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday, July 27, as an opportunity to get into the win column. He was the fastest in practice Friday, July 25.

FANTASY TIP: Kenseth has never won in Indianapolis, but he finished second in 2003 and 2006, and he was fifth last season. Despite the lack of wins, he is a solid play in salary cap fantasy formats.

Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson is tied for the most active wins (four) at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He has 12 career starts at the Brickyard, posting five Top 5s, six Top 10s and eight Top 20s with 302 laps led.
