The Dallas Cowboys and representatives for impending free-agent QB Dak Prescott met in Indianapolis at the NFL Scouting Combine looking to nail down a deal, or at least make progress on a new deal. He is expected to fetch at least $20 million per season.

Huddle Up: Prescott had yet to pass for 4,000 yards in the NFL, but the Cowboys are apparently enamored with his play. The team recently re-signed Jason Witten after one year in the broadcast booth, and they're working toward re-upping with Amari Cooper. If the team can add a couple of decent pieces in the pass game via the draft or free agency, Prescott could improve in 2019 and be a bona fide QB1 in fantasy leagues across the board.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott's agent is scheduled to meet with the Dallas Cowboys this week to talk about Prescott's next contract.

Huddle Up: Prescott has thrown for at least 22 touchdowns in each of the last three seasons and has thrown at least 3,600 in two of the last three seasons. He should have a solid group of receivers to work with in 2019 and can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback or an elite No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 2/10/2019 10:24am ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott ranked ninth among quarterbacks with 305 rushing yards in 2018, and many have clamored for Prescott to run even more. But Super Bowl history shows having a strong rushing QBs may not be the formula for ultimate team success. In 53 seasons, only three Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks have had 300-yard rushing seasons during their title-winning campaigns.

Huddle Up: Prescott did finish 10th among fantasy QBs in large part due to his 305 rushing yards and six TDs, but it must be noted that Prescott had the bulk of his rushing yards (247) during the first half of the season when the Cowboys went 3-5. During the team's 7-1 second half, Prescott ran for only 58 yards, and that might convince the Cowboys going forward that Prescott doesn't necessarily need to run for the team to have success.

  • Posted: 2/8/2019 9:58am ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is seeking a contract extension this offseason as he enters the final year of his four-year rookie deal in 2019. 'I think the team knows how to pay what's deserved,' Prescott said last week before Super Bowl LIII, 'and pay those other people at the same time what's deserved without being frugal.'

Huddle Up: Prescott threw for a career-high 3,885 yards this past season and was significantly bolstered by the midseason trade acquisition of WR Amari Cooper. Look for Prescott to get that extension and big raise this offseason and be ranked as borderline QB1 this summer in fantasy drafts.

  • Posted: 1/12/2019 10:34pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott finished 20-of-32 for 266 yards and a touchdown in the NFC Division Round against the Los Angeles Rams. He added two carries for three yards and another score.

Huddle Up: Prescott rounded into form this season once the Cowboys acquired Amari Cooper, but even that addition only made a middling starter for fantasy purposes. The 25-year-old is set to enter the final year of his rookie contract in 2019 coming off a career-high in passing yards (3,885), but the jury is still out as to whether or not he is a "franchise quarterback." Owners should consider him a QB2 whose upside is limited by an uncreative offense focused around Ezekiel Elliott.

  • Posted: 1/12/2019 8:23pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 20 of his 32 passes for 266 yards and a touchdown and rushed twice for three yards and another score in a 30-22 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round Saturday, Jan. 12.

Huddle Up: Prescott had a decent outing, but he just couldn't make enough throws to take down the Rams. He had some stronger outings down the stretch after the Cowboys acquired Amari Cooper, but Prescott looks like a fantasy backup heading into 2019.

  • Posted: 1/10/2019 1:48pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (knee) participated fully in practice Thursday, Jan. 10.

Huddle Up: Prescott's availability was never in question. He'll need to be at his best against one of the most formidable defenses in the league in the Los Angeles Rams. It's a road game, too, and the Cowboys as a whole played a lot worse on the road this season.

  • Posted: 1/9/2019 2:07pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (knee) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Huddle Up: Prescott will be good to go health wise, and he'll need to be healthy against the Los Angeles Rams. Aaron Donald and company will wreak havoc following their week off, so lower your expectations for Prescott. As for a few months from now, Prescott resides in low-end QB1 to high-end QB2 territory.

  • Posted: 1/8/2019 1:56pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (knee) was a full participant in practice Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Huddle Up: The knee issue doesn't appear to be serious, so look for Prescott to be full go throughout the week. His running ability makes him a fringe QB1 option going into the 2019 season.

  • Posted: 1/5/2019 8:35pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 22 of his 33 passes for 226 yards, a touchdown and an interception and rushed six times for 29 yards and a score in a 24-22 win over the Seattle Seahawks in the wild-card round Saturday, Jan. 5.

Huddle Up: Prescott's fantasy value jumps up another notch when he is making plays with his legs, but Dallas is probably going to need more out of him in the divisional round in all facets when the Cowboys face either the Saints or Rams.

  • Posted: 12/30/2018 4:51pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 27-of-44 passes for 387 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 17 game against the New York Giants.

Huddle Up: Prescott and the Cowboys will face the Seahawks in the wild-card round next week. He threw for 168 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Week 3 matchup in Seattle, but the playoff game will be played in Dallas.

  • Posted: 12/28/2018 7:20pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott said he would like to play against the New York Giants in Week 17 but acknowledged that he could be on a snap count.

Huddle Up: The Cowboys are locked into their playoff seed, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see Prescott and other starters exit early or rest all together. With limited fantasy upside to begin with, it is best to avoid Prescott in Week 17.

  • Posted: 12/23/2018 5:21pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott complted 20-of-25 passes for 161 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions while posting a rushing touchdown in Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Huddle Up: Prescott still has managed just one 300-yard passing game this season, and he has three or more touchdown passes in just one outing, the same game he had his season-high 455 yards. He remains more of a QB2 in all fantasy leagues heading into the regular-season finale.

  • Posted: 12/16/2018 5:05pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 24 of his 39 passes for 206 yards and an interception in a 23-0 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15.

Huddle Up: Coming off one of the best performances of his career in Week 14, Prescott delivered a dud against the Colts. It came at a terrible time for fantasy owners, but he does have a great chance to bounce back next week against the defensively challenged Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

  • Posted: 12/15/2018 12:46pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has started all 13 games this season. If he starts the final three games in 2018 he would be the first quarterback in franchise history to start every game in three consecutive seasons.

Huddle Up: Prescott has helped the Cowboys to the top of the NFC East, and his durability has certainly helped the continuity of the offense. He was really jelled nicely with newcomer Amari Cooper to see a boost in his fantasy production, too. Consider Dak a low-end QB1 or strong QB2 heading into Week 15.

  • Posted: 11/29/2018 8:33pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 24 of his 28 passes for 248 yards and a touchdown and rushed five times for 22 yards in a 13-10 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 13.

Huddle Up: His line would have been even prettier had he not overthrown Michael Gallup for a would-be touchdown. Prescott has been running more often and throwing the ball more efficiently since the trade for Amari Cooper, making him a high-end QB2.

  • Posted: 11/25/2018 7:37am ET

The Dallas Cowboys are hoping to reach a contract extension with QB Dak Prescott, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The team feels it has the salary cap space to make this possible but negotiations between both sides have not yet gotten underway.

Huddle Up: It's clear that the Cowboys view the 25-year-old Prescott as their long-term solution at quarterback and he has experienced a surge in fantasy value over the last month. Since the acquisition of WR Amari Cooper in mid-October, Prescott has gone from a bye-week replacement at best to a low-end QB1 in most formats. He has thrown five touchdowns and one interception over his last four contests while completing 70 percent of his passes.

  • Posted: 11/22/2018 5:10pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott threw for 289 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions on 22-for-31 passing against the Washington Redskins in Week 12. He added 18 yards and a touchdown on six carries.

Huddle Up: Prescott has been dynamic of late and takes on the New Orleans Saints in Week 13, which should be another fine opportunity for QB1 production. The addition of Amari Cooper has transformed the offense by providing a legitimate deep threat.

  • Posted: 11/18/2018 12:52pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott went 22-for-32 for 208 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11. He also rushed for five yards and one touchdown on four carries during the game.

Huddle Up: Prescott was held without a touchdown pass for the first time since Week 1 but was able to find the end zone. He will be facing the Washington Redskins next week and could be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback.

  • Posted: 11/11/2018 9:23pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott finished 26-of-36 for 270 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 versus the Philadelphia Eagles. He added 9 yards and a touchdown on six carries.

Huddle Up: Despite what looks like a solid stat line, Prescott still has a long way to go to master the art of quarterbacking. He held the ball too long on some occasions, stared down his receivers other times and pulled the trigger too late on other throws. Nevertheless, fantasy owners can't be too displeased with the effort, and Prescott has accounted for at least two touchdowns in four straight games. He should be a serviceable streamer at the very least in Week 11 against the Atlanta Falcons.

  • Posted: 11/8/2018 6:56pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott recorded multiple turnovers in a game for the 10th time in the last two seasons in the team's loss Monday, Nov. 5, against the Tennessee Titans. That's tied for the most such occurrences within that span alongside Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston and Green Bay Packers QB DeShone Kizer.

Huddle Up: Prescott's stock has dropped dramatically since his terrific rookie campaign a few years ago. One of the main indicators of that has been the increase in the amount of times he turns the ball over, something he rarely would do in his freshman campaign. It's safe to say he's not a reliable QB1 right now, though the addition of Amari Cooper figures to help give him a boost again.

  • Posted: 11/6/2018 7:49am ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was endorsed as the quarterback by owner Jerry Jones. '(Prescott) is young, and he is going to get extended,' Jones said.

Huddle Up: Prescott is No. 22 overall among quarterbacks in fantasy points this season. That pretty much sums it up in terms of fantasy. He's just an extreme matchup play.

  • Posted: 11/5/2018 8:52pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 21-of-31 passes for 243 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the Week 9 game against the Tennessee Titans on Monday, Nov. 5 and he rushed for 11 yards.

Huddle Up: Prescott had a new toy with Amari Cooper and the duo connected for the first score of the game. As these two jell, they'll make each other better and see more fantasy value along the way. Still, Prescott is more of a QB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 6:21pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 22-of-35 passes for 273 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 7 game against the Washington Redskins and he had 33 rushing yards and a score. He received medical attention for a hand injury in this game, but didn't miss a snap.

Huddle Up: Prescott's hand injury appeared to be minor, and the team has a bye this week for him to get back to 100 percent health before Week 9.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 8:49pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 17 of his 27 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns and rushed 11 times for 82 yards and a touchdown in a 40-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6.

Huddle Up: Prescott still didn't have a huge day throwing the ball, but he avoided turnovers and made plays with his legs. His fantasy value would receive a nice boost if he starts running more often, but he remains a low-end QB2 for now.

  • Posted: 10/13/2018 7:08pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott's passer rating dropped from 104.9 in his rookie season to 86.6 last year, and his passer rating sits at 81.4 after five games this season.

Huddle Up: Prescott received a pass for last year's struggles because of the suspension to Ezekiel Elliott, and while you can place some of the blame on his receivers this season, the trend is still discouraging. Even in two-quarterback formats, you can probably find a better option.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 10:19pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 18 of his 29 passes for 208 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions during the team's overtime loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday, Oct. 7.

Huddle Up: Through five games Prescott's statistical high point was his 255-yard, 2-TD performance in Week 4. You can divvy up the blame however you'd like, putting the onus on Prescott or his subpar receiving corps -- both INTs came off deflections -- but either way the diagnosis is the same: Prescott shouldn't be in your starting lineup unless he's covering an injury or a bye. That's doubly true next week against a tough Jacksonville defense.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 2:55pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott went 17-for-27 for 255 yards and two touchdowns against the Detroit Lions in Week 2.

Huddle Up: Prescott was held to under 200 yards in each of the first three games but was able to play well against the Lions. He should have a favorable matchup next week and could be a bye week replacement in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 11:29pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott went 19-for-34 for 168 yards, 1 TD and 2 interceptions during Dallas' loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Sept. 23. Prescott ran twice for 21 yards.

Huddle Up: Through three games this season Prescott has failed to reach 175 yards passing or account for multiple scores. He's typically safe with the football, but Earl Thomas picked him off twice today. At this point it's hard to advocate having Prescott in your lineup unless he's needed to cover a bye or injury.

  • Posted: 9/14/2018 12:35pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 2.

Huddle Up: Prescott did not play well in Week 1 and appears to be trying to build chemistry with his new pass catchers. He likely will have a better game against the New York Giants but probably should be benched until he can have consecutive strong performances.

  • Posted: 9/14/2018 9:22am ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (ankle) has the backing of team owner Jerry Jones. 'I have tremendous confidence in Dak,' Jones said Friday, Sept. 14, in an interview on Dallas radio station 105.3 The Fan. 'I feel so good about Sunday. I feel good about our future. I don't want to be trite, but teams have lost games and have had bad games with the best quarterbacks there's ever been. I'm talking about generally speaking. You can have an outing that you'd like to have back, but man alive, one of the strengths of our team going in against the Giants or one of the strengths of our team as far as I can see into the future is Dak Prescott.'

Huddle Up: After a disappointing finish last season, Prescott is off to a shaky start in 2018, completing 19-of-29 passes for 170 yards and no TDs in a 16-8 Week 1 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Keep him out of your non-two-QB-league fantasy lineups until he shows some signs of life.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 8:15pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 19-of-29 passes for 170 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 1 game against the Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: Prescott was sacked six times and he really struggled without the likes of Dez Bryant, Brice Butler and Jason Witten, all but during the offseason. A big-time receiver needs to step up to help Prescott or he is going to take a huge step backwards from a fantasy perspective. The Cowboys meet the Giants on the road in Week 2.

  • Posted: 8/18/2018 6:36pm ET

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 10 of his 15 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals in the preseason Saturday, Aug. 18.

Huddle Up: Prescott will try to bounce back after a lackluster sophomore campaign, but with an unproven group of receivers, he needs to be treated as a QB2 for now.

  • Posted: 4/22/2018 6:44pm ET

The Dallas Cowboys will try to make QB Dak Prescott more productive in 2018 by making some 'tweaks' to the offense, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones.

Huddle Up: Prescott regressed last year after his impressive rookie campaign, and while he should have a full season of Ezekiel Elliott this time around, his receiving corps is full of question marks. He's a QB2 at this point.
