New York Jets TE Chris Herndon pleaded guilty to DWI on Tuesday, Jan. 9, stemming from an incident this past June 2 when he crashed his SUV into another vehicle. Herndon will lose his license for 90 days as a result and is likely to be suspended by the NFL, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.

Huddle Up: Herndon enjoyed a solid rookie campaign and looks to be a player on the rise, but a suspension of any length could push him from late-round flier to watch list candidate in a hurry.

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon caught one pass for eight yards against the New England Patriots in Week 17.

Huddle Up: Herndon played well at times this season and should compete for the starting tight end job next season. He has a chance to be a No. 2 fantasy tight end in 2019 if he wins the starting job.

  • Posted: 12/28/2018 7:02pm ET

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon said his goal is to become a 'complete tight end' and plans to focus on improving his blocking in the offseason.

Huddle Up: Herndon has flashed some upside throughout his rookie campaign and has quickly developed into one of the more intriguing long-term fantasy prospects at the position. He's a also a worthwhile streaming option against the New England Patriots in Week 17.

  • Posted: 12/23/2018 6:40pm ET

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon caught six of his seven targets for 82 yards and a touchdown in a 44-38 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 16.

Huddle Up: Herndon has flashed some potential this season. He is certainly worth a look as a streaming option against New England in Week 17, and he looks like a solid dynasty prospect at a painfully thin position.

  • Posted: 12/15/2018 6:07pm ET

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon caught three of his four targets for 53 yards in a 29-22 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 15.

Huddle Up: After a couple of quiet weeks, Herndon went back over 50 yards for the third time in his last six games. He's an intriguing prospect in dynasty formats and a potential streaming option for those desperate for tight end help late in the year.

  • Posted: 12/13/2018 3:09pm ET

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 13, and is not on the injury report for Week 15.

Huddle Up: Herndon was held to only one reception and 14 yards last week but has been targeted 16 times over the last three games. He appears to have a solid role in the passing game, but owners probably can find better options for their lineups.

  • Posted: 12/9/2018 3:12pm ET

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon caught one pass for 14 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.

Huddle Up: Herndon was targeted only two times this week but has been more involved in the passing game in previous weeks. He has a chance to be a low-end No. 1 tight end in some leagues next week but is not a must-start option.

  • Posted: 11/25/2018 7:44pm ET

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon racked up seven catches for 57 yards on eight targets in Week 12 against the New England Patriots.

Huddle Up: Herndon has managed 14 receptions for 153 yards on 16 targets over the past three outings. He isn't quite in that TE1 neighborhood just yet, but he is a decent TE2 with some upside heading into 2019.

  • Posted: 11/11/2018 10:46pm ET

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon caught three of his four targets for a team-high 34 yards in Week 10 versus the Buffalo Bills.

Huddle Up: The Bills have a solid defense, but the Jets were positively awful in this one. Herndon has seen a dramatic spike in his playing time lately and emerged as one of the few bright spots for New York in his rookie campaign. Owners don't necessarily need to hold on to Herndon through the Jets' Week 11 bye, but he's done enough over the last month to serve as a decent spot start in fantasy for a player like Rob Gronkowski who is creating weekly headaches at the position.

  • Posted: 11/4/2018 5:03pm ET

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon registered four receptions for a game-high 62 yards on four targets in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Herndon's production has been a bit erratic, but he is starting to sneak into the low-end TE1 picture. He has 11 grabs for 176 yards and three scores over the past four contests. Next up is a home game against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10.

  • Posted: 11/2/2018 8:25pm ET

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon has caught a touchdown pass in three straight games heading into a Week 9 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Herndon isn't piling up catches, but the tight end position is thin, and Sam Darnold is looking his way in the red zone. He is worth streaming in Week 9 if you are searching for tight end help.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 2:54pm ET

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon finished with four receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Huddle Up: Herndon started out a bit slow, but the rookie has managed six grabs for 98 yards on nine targets with two touchdowns over his past two outings. Tight end is such a shallow spot in fantasy that Herndon could emerge as a low-end TE1 if he keeps producing at this pace on a regular basis. The Jets meet the Bears on the road in Week 8.

  • Posted: 8/6/2018 7:13pm ET

New York Jets TEs Chris Herndon 'has the skills to make an important contribution sooner rather than later,' according to The New York Daily News' Manish Mehta, who reports the Jets 'absolutely love' their fourth-round pick.

Huddle Up: Herndon is more of a potential dynasty asset than redraft, but it's not hard to see why the Jets can see him as a long-term building block. He's a better blocker than most rookies at his position, and he possesses above-average athleticism to go along with a solid pair of hands. If he is able to beat out Jordan Leggett as expected for the starting job, he may be worth a look as a bye-week option in 2018.

  • Posted: 4/28/2018 9:28am ET

The New York Jets selected Miami (Fla.) TE Chris Herndon with 107th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Saturday, April 28.

Huddle Up: Herndon has a chance to have a solid role in the passing game this season since the team lost Austin Seferian-Jenkins in free agency. Owners should monitor him during training camp because he could be a No. 2 tight end if he wins the starting job.
