    Free-agent WR Jordan Matthews (Eagles) signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers Thursday, March 14. Financial terms were not disclosed.

    Huddle Up: Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see how Matthews will be used in the offense. He has posted only 45 receptions and 582 yards over the last two seasons and probably can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

    Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews had just one catch in the NFC Divisional Round playoff game loss against the New Orleans Saints, but it was good for a 37-yard touchdown.

    Huddle Up: Matthews registered just 20 grabs for 300 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season, and he barely moved the needle in most fantasy formats. Perhaps a change of scenery in 2019 will improve his fantasy outlook.

    Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews posted three receptions for 37 yards on four targets in Week 11 against the New Orleans Saints.

    Huddle Up: Matthews continues to see rather marginal results, win or lose, and he remains more of a low-end WR5 as long as Alshon Jeffery is healthy and Golden Tate continues to get a better grasp on the offense. The Eagles host the Giants in Week 12.

    Huddle Up: Carson Wentz hit Matthews on a pair of third-down conversions, but other than that the receiver was quiet on TNF. Other than a 56-yard TD Matthews has done next to nothing since returning to Philly. There's no reason to carry him on your roster.

    Free-agent WR Jordan Matthews (Patriots) was spotted at the Philadelphia Eagles' facility Tuesday, Sept. 19, and is a candidate to re-sign with the team with the Eagles in need of wide receiver help.

    Huddle Up: Alshon Jeffery hasn't played yet this year, and Mike Wallace is done for the season with a broken leg, so the Eagles may turn to Matthews, a 2014 second-round pick who was traded to the Bills in the offseason a year ago. Matthews caught eight TDs in each of his 2014 and '15 seasons with Philly, but those obviously were different teams and seasons, and he's since disappointed with the Bills (25 catches in 10 games last year) and been waived by the Patriots. Matthews would be nothing more than a speculative deep-league fantasy add even if he does return to Philly.

    Huddle Up: Matthews could find a new team once he recovers from his injury but probably should be avoided in fantasy leagues until he plays in a game or two.

    Huddle Up: Matthews is on a one-year deal, so if he can return before the end of the season the team would do an injury settlement so he can sign elsewhere. Either way, his fantasy appeal is shot for 2018.

    Huddle Up: It seems trivial to even consider him not making a depleted roster with a suspended Julian Edelman, but Matthews' fantasy stock has plummeted. He just turned 26 and still has the potential to be a WR3 in fantasy at a WR4 or WR5 price.
