Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip), who missed nine games of the 2018 season and all of the current offseason with a hip injury said Friday, June 7, 'there's no reason why I shouldn't be out there Week 1.'

Huddle Up: Wilson caught 26 passes for 391 yards and four TDs in seven games last season, and should be drafted a late-round WR flyer with the health uncertainty baked in.

  • Posted: 6/8/2019 10:50am ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) did not participate in any offseason workouts or minicamps because he is still recovering from a hip injury.

Huddle Up: Wilson will have over a month to rest his hip, so he may be ready for the start of training camp. He played well before the injury in 2018 and probably will be a starter for the Dolphins this upcoming season. He has a chance to be a late-round option in some fantasy leagues.

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) did not participate in practice Tuesday, May 14, because he is still recovering from a hip injury.

Huddle Up: Wilson played well in his limited playing time this past season and should be one of the team's starting receivers in 2019. He should receive a solid amount of targets this upcoming season but probably would only be a late-round option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 2/19/2019 10:19am ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson is one of the best bets to remain with the team out of a wide receiver contingent that appears headed for upheaval, and new position coach Karl Dorrell has quickly become a fan. 'He was pretty dynamic wasn't he?' Dorrell said recently of Wilson. 'He's a very unique player. I'm really excited about him. .... I hear he's doing a really good job with the recovery process but you could tell when he was on the field, he had a number of ways to affect the defense and to make the defense really pay attention to where he is and things like that.'

Huddle Up: A hip injury cost Wilson all but seven games in 2018 but he still led the team with his 15-yard-per-reception average and finished third on the squad with his four receiving TDs. Wilson is a definite fantasy WR sleeper to keep an eye on this summer.

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) is on schedule with his recovery from an October hip injury that landed him on IR and could be at full speed when the team's offseason workout program begins in April.

Huddle Up: After four largely nondescript seasons in Kansas City, Wilson flashed some playmaking ability before getting injured against the Lions. There are far too many variables in Miami for an accurate read on Wilson's fantasy prospects for 2019, but he did enough last year to warrant your attention.

  • Posted: 10/24/2018 12:22pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) was officially placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Huddle Up: As has been stated previously, Danny Amendola, Jakeem Grant and DeVante Parker are the main beneficiaries of Wilson's misfortune. Amendola is the most consistent threat and deserves flex consideration.

  • Posted: 10/23/2018 3:32pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) won't need surgery on his injured hip, but he is expected to be placed on the Reserve/Injured list.

Huddle Up: This is a sizable loss for the Dolphins who are now shallow at wide receiver. Jakeem Grant, Danny Amendola and DeVante Parker will benefit this week with both Wilson and Kenny Stils out. Amendola is the most reliable Miami receiver, but Grant has the most big-play ability.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 10:06pm ET

Updating previous reports, Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) will likely miss at least a few weeks and could be done for the season with what Wilson's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, branded a 'significant' injury.

Huddle Up: Well, that escalated quickly. Wilson had been a pleasant surprise for the Dolphins and was coming off arguably the best game of his career in Week 6. Wait for a more official update from the Dolphins before taking any action, but if it's gonna be long term there's no reason to carry Wilson on your roster. As for the next man up, you'd have to think it'd mean more action for Danny Amendola and maybe Adam Gase will break the glass on DeVante Parker.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 12:06pm ET

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (leg) will not return to the Week 7 game because his leg injury.

Huddle Up: The Dolphins play their next on Thursday Night Football, so Wilson may not have enough time to recover in time to play in Week 8. Kenny Stills, DeVante Parker and Danny Amendola could all receive extra targets with Wilson sidelined but none of them are great fantasy options.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 10:54am ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (leg) suffered a leg injury during the Week 7 game and is considered questionable to return.

Huddle Up: Wilson has been one of the top playmakers for the Dolphins over the last few weeks, so owners will need to keep an eye out for any update.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 4:19pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson finished with six receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Wilson is the first Dolphins player with at least 150 receiving yards and two receiving scores since a game since Irving Fryar did it in the 1994 regular season opener while catching passes from Dan Marino. He'll be a hot addition off of the waiver wire heading into Week 7 against the Detroit Lions if he is still available in your fantasy league.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 2:28pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson caught five passes for 43 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Wilson has been targeted 12 times in the last two games and could continue to be a part of the passing game as long as DeVante Parker is sidelined. Owners should avoid him next week, but Wilson could be an option later in the season.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 6:22pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson had two receptions for a team-high 74 yard and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders and he threw a 52-yard touchdown on a trick play.

Huddle Up: Wilson is the fourth player in NFL history to post a TD pass and a TD reception of at least 50 yards in a game, joining Hall of Famer Jimmy Conzelman (1923), Tom Tracy (1960) and David Patten (2001). Despite the impressive stat line, Wilson is still more of a WR5 in most fantasy leagues due to his lack of targets. The Dolphins travel to meet the Patriots in Week 4.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 7:50pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson posted three receptions for a team-best 37 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Week 2 against the New York Jets.

Huddle Up: Wilson led the mish-mash receivers unit of Miami, but that's not saying much. No one really had giant production, but they still scratched out the win. Don't expect any of the wideouts in Miami to put up giant numbers this season. The Dolphins host the Raiders in Week 3.

  • Posted: 8/7/2018 4:48pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson said he could be used in many different ways this season, including being lined up in the backfield.

Huddle Up: Talk has been quiet regarding Wilson so far this offseason. Danny Amendola has received much of the hype so far with Wilson taking a backset to Amendola, DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills. The glass half full approach means this makes Wilson a deep sleeper, worthy of a flier in later rounds.

  • Posted: 7/30/2018 9:09am ET

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson is an outside receiver and will not be an option for the slot receiver job, according to head coach Adam Gase.

Huddle Up: Wilson received a solid contract from the Dolphins this season, so he should have a decent role in the passing game. Owners should see how he is used during the preseason because he could be a late-round option in deeper leagues.
