Kirk Cousins - QBPosted 1/3/19 10:32am ET
Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins has the backing of head coach Mike Zimmer who spoke at a news conference Thursday, Jan. 3. 'I have a lot of confidence in Kirk Cousins,' said Zimmer, who predicted the quarterback will play well next year.
Huddle Up: Cousins finished ninth among fantasy quarterbacks this season, thanks largely to a strong start. But after notching four 300-yard games and six with 20 or more fantasy points in the first half of the season, he only had one 300-yard outing and two with 20-plus fantasy points in his final eight contests.
Latavius Murray - RBPosted 1/2/19 7:58pm ET
Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent RB Latavius Murray said he is open to re-signing with the Vikings this offseason but is not content to being in the backup role and wants to start in 2019.
Huddle Up: Murray finished the season with 578 yards and six touchdowns, but it is not known if he will be able to find a starting job if he tests free agency. He has played well in the past and could be a No. 2 running back in standard leagues if he finds a starting job.
Dalvin Cook - RBPosted 12/30/18 8:52pm ET
Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook rushed 11 times for 39 yards and caught four passes for 24 yards in a 24-10 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 17.
Huddle Up: It took a while for Cook to find a rhythm this year, but last year's knee surgery and a hamstring injury likely played a role. If he enters 2019 healthy, Cook could rebound in a big way. He's worth targeting as a RB2.
Kirk Cousins - QBPosted 12/30/18 8:48pm ET
Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins completed 20 of his 33 passes for 132 yards and a touchdown and added a seven-yard run in a 24-10 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 17.
Huddle Up: Cousins couldn't generate any plays down the field, and Minnesota saw its playoff hopes come to and end. The Vikings didn't live up to their loft expectations, but Cousins topped 4,000 yards and threw 30 touchdowns. He should be a low-end QB1 again in 2019.
Stefon Diggs - WRPosted 12/30/18 8:56pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs caught eight of his 10 targets for 47 yards and a touchdown in a 24-10 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 17.
Huddle Up: Diggs went over 100 receptions and 1,000 yards on the year, and his numbers keep trending up. He should be a safe bet for WR2 production in 2019.
Latavius Murray - RBPosted 12/23/18 2:40pm ET
Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray rushed nine times for 22 yards in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions and he added two grabs for six yards.
Huddle Up: As long as Dalvin Cook remains healthy then Murray has a very limited ceiling. Trust him as a low-end RB3 or flex fantasy option into Week 17 against the Bears if your league decides a champion in the final week.
Dalvin Cook - RBPosted 12/23/18 2:37pm ET
Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook ran 16 times for 73 yards in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions and he added three grabs for 35 yards on three targets.
Huddle Up: Cook didn't find the end zone, but he had another decent day in terms of scrimmage yards. His biggest obstacle so far has been staying healthy. When healthy he is a legit RB2 or flex fantasy talent. The Vikings wrap up the regular season against the Bears in Week 17, fighting for their playoff lives.
Kirk Cousins - QBPosted 12/23/18 2:35pm ET
Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins completed 21-of-28 passes for 253 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions.
Huddle Up: Cousins posted just his fourth game with three or more touchdowns in a game this season, so he really treated his fantasy owners still alive in the playoffs with a nice stat line. His 253 yards were also his most since Nov. 25 against the Packers.
Stefon Diggs - WRPosted 12/23/18 3:05pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs managed two grabs for just 10 yards in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions but at least he was able to score a touchdown.
Huddle Up: Diggs hasn't posted a 100-yard game in a season-high five straight, but at least he has touchdowns in back-to-back games, and a touchdown of eight touchdowns this season. The Vikings wrap up the regular season against the Bears in Week 17.
Adam Thielen - WRPosted 12/23/18 3:02pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen managed five receptions for 80 yards on six targets in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions.
Huddle Up: Thielen posted eight 100-yard games over the first eight outings, but he has just one triple-digit yardage game over the past seven contests and he has a season-high three straight without a score. He picked a tough time for his worst stretch of the season for fantasy owners.
Kyle Rudolph - TEPosted 12/23/18 2:42pm ET
Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph registered nine receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions.
Huddle Up: It was Rudolph's first 100-yard game of the season, and he entered with just 68 yards on eight grabs over the past three outings. It's likely not too many fantasy owners enjoyed this performance. The Vikings wrap up the regular season in Week 17 against the Bears.
Stefon Diggs - WRPosted 12/16/18 6:38pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs posted four grabs for 49 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.
Huddle Up: Diggs returned to the end zone for the first time in three games. His yardage total has been down lately, but he remains a useful WR2 fantasy option in most leagues heading into Week 16 against the Detroit Lions.
Tyler Conklin - TEPosted 12/16/18 6:35pm ET
Minnesota Vikings TE Tyler Conklin ended up with two catches for a game-best 53 yards on three targets in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.
Huddle Up: Conklin managed just two grabs for 13 yards over his first 12 games, but he has three catches for 64 yards across the past two outings with five targets. He isn't quite useful in fantasy yet, but he's a player worth watching heading into 2019. Conklin might be the heir apparent at tight end in the post-Kyle Rudolph era.
Dalvin Cook - RBPosted 12/16/18 6:30pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Dalvin Cook registered 136 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins and he added a 27-yard catch on two targets.
Huddle Up: The rushing touchdowns were Cook's first this season, and it was also his first 100-yard rushing day of 2018. He has a ton of potential, but he has been hampered by injuries. If he can stay on the field for an extended period he has the gifts to be a fantasy must-start in 2019.
Adam Thielen - WRPosted 12/16/18 6:55pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen posted two grabs for a season-low 19 yards in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.
Huddle Up: Thielen opened the season with eight straight 100-yard games, but he has just one over the past six outings. He has also been held out of the end zone in back-to-back outings for the first time this season. Marginal performances are coming at an inopportune time for Thielen's fantasy owners. He'll look to rebound in Week 16 in Detroit.
Kyle Rudolph - TEPosted 12/16/18 6:51pm ET
Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph posted just three grabs for 23 yards on three targets in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.
Huddle Up: Rudolph hasn't been terribly productive lately and now he has competition for targets at tight end with Tyler Conklin. It's hard to rely on Rudolph these days for fantasy purposes.
Kai Forbath - PKPosted 12/14/18 9:50am ET
Free-agent PK Kai Forbath (Vikings) signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday, Dec. 14. In a corresponding move, the Jaguars placed LB Leon Jacobs (quadriceps) on the Reserve/Injured list.
Huddle Up: Although nothing's been made official yet, this is a strong indicator that it will be Forbath -- and not injured PK Josh Lambo (groin) -- kicking for the Jags this Sunday.
Adam Thielen - WRPosted 12/14/18 1:40pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 15.
Huddle Up: Thielen has cooled off a bit since his historic start to the season but has still posted at least 65 yards in three of the last four games. He can be considered a No. 2 receiver in all leagues this week.
Adam Thielen - WRPosted 12/13/18 12:40pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) put in a full practice Thursday, Dec. 13.
Huddle Up: Thielen will be good to go in his quest to rebound from last week's poor outing. He's an automatic start anyway, but he'll have higher upside if Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard is ruled out.
Dalvin Cook - RBPosted 12/13/18 6:56pm ET
Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook faces the Miami Dolphins in Week 15, and the Dolphins have allowed the fourth-most rushing yards in the NFL this season.
Huddle Up: Cook's usage is on the rise, and after logging 17 touches in Week 13, he tallied 18 touches last weekend. A similar workload against Miami should yield RB2 production.
Adam Thielen - WRPosted 12/12/18 2:40pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) was able to take part in a full practice session Friday, Dec. 12.
Huddle Up: Thielen, who left Monday's game in Seattle, but was able to return, is likely to be ready for Week 15. However, check back Friday for his official injury designation before finalizing your fantasy lineup.
Adam Thielen - WRPosted 12/10/18 7:25pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) left the Week 14 game against the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth quarter due to an ankle injury. He had one catch for eight yards on eight targets before departing.
Huddle Up: Thielen was able to record his 100th reception of the season, but that's about all that went right for Thielen and his fantasy owners.
Kyle Rudolph - TEPosted 12/10/18 8:23pm ET
Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph went for two receptions and just seven yards on five targets in Week 14 against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, Dec. 10.
Huddle Up: Rudolph has had a couple of stinkers in a row when fantasy owners need him the most. He'll look to bounce back in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins, but he is a very risky play heading into that outing.
Stefon Diggs - WRPosted 12/10/18 8:19pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs finished with four catches and 76 yards on six targets in the Week 14 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Huddle Up: Diggs had one big catch late in the game, a 48-yard snare, but it was mostly a disappointing line for fantasy owners. He'll try to re-discover the end zone in Week 15 when the Miami Dolphins come calling.
Adam Thielen - WRPosted 12/10/18 8:17pm ET
Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) returned to the Week 14 game against the Seattle Seahawks and he finished with five grabs for 70 yards on seven targets.
Huddle Up: Most of his production came in garbage time late in the game, but fantasy owners don't care where it comes from. A near disastrous night ended up not being as bad with his late stats and the fact he returned from injury. He'll look to keep up the good work against the Miami Dolphins in Week 15.
Dalvin Cook - RBPosted 12/10/18 8:14pm ET
Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook rushed 13 times for 55 yards in the Week 14 loss against the Seattle Seahawks and he scored his team's only touchdown on a reception in garbage time.
Huddle Up: Cook wasn't the problem on the Vikings offense, which was completely shut down by a hungry Seahawks defense. Fantasy owners were bailed out late with Cook's scoring grab. He'll look to keep it up against the Miami Dolphins.
Kirk Cousins - QBPosted 12/10/18 7:51pm ET
Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins completed 20-of-33 passes for 208 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 14 game against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, Dec. 10, and he also lost a fumble.
Huddle Up: Cousins had well under 100 yards to go until late in the game before gathering huge chunks of real estate and his touchdown against a prevent defense. It was an ugly night all around for the Vikings offense. They'll look to regroup in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.
Stefon Diggs - WRPosted 12/8/18 4:04pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) was limited in practice Saturday, Dec. 8.
Huddle Up: Diggs was limited in practice all week and should be able to this week, especially since he has an extra day to recover since the Vikings play Monday night. Keep him in starting lineups, but temper expectations since he's been hampered the last two weeks.
Stefon Diggs - WRPosted 12/7/18 4:29pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 7.
Huddle Up: Diggs appears to have a good chance to play in Week 14, but owners can keep an eye on the situation. He has been playing well over the last month and should be a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues if he is active.
Stefon Diggs - WRPosted 12/6/18 4:10pm ET
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) was limited at practice Thursday, Dec. 6.
Huddle Up: Diggs was a game-time decision going into last week's game with New England but looked just fine making it through the contest. That being said, Diggs should be able to play Monday night against the Seahawks and will carry his usual WR2 status.
