• Cody Latimer - WR
    Posted 3/17/19 9:25pm ET

New York Giants WR Cody Latimer announced on his official Instagram account on Sunday, March 17 that he is returning to the team on a one-year deal. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Huddle Up: Latimer posted 11 grabs for 190 yards and a touchdwon last season before missing 10 games due to a hamstring injury. With Odell Beckham Jr. moving on to Cleveland, there is a chance Latimer could see a larger role depending upon the other draft picks and personnel moves the team chooses to make. Still, he has had chances to make a splash before and hasn't really answered the bell.

Updating previous reports, the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants finalized the trade to send WR Odell Beckham Jr. to the Browns on Wednesday, March 13.

Huddle Up: Beckham, as previously mentioned, remains a No. 1 receiver in fantasy but could encounter a lower volume of targets. His big-play nature should help off-set any limitations in this area.

  • Eli Manning - QB
    Posted 3/13/19 8:43pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning is scheduled to receive a $5 million roster bonus if he is on the roster Saturday, March 16, and the Giants plan on paying that bonus at this point, according to sources.

Huddle Up: It appears that Manning will be the starting quarterback for at least one more season but will not have many weapons to work with in the passing game. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues in 2019.

  • Odell Beckham - WR
    Posted 3/12/19 5:07pm ET

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. was traded to the Cleveland Browns Tuesday, March 12, in exchange for a 2019 first-round pick, the Browns' second third-round pick in 2019 and SS Jabrill Peppers according to a source.

Huddle Up: It actually happened. The Giants traded their star receiver. Sterling Shepard takes over as the No. 1 wide receiver in the Big Apple. More opportunities are coming for Corey Coleman, Evan Engram and more, but one can logically deduce that the Giants will sign or draft another wide receiver. For now, view Shepard as a fantasy WR2.

  • Eli Manning - QB
    Posted 2/27/19 10:36am ET

Updating ongoing reports, New York Giants QB Eli Manning will return to the franchise in 2019, head coach Pat Shurmur said Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the NFL Scouting Combine. 'Well, I think Eli can help us win games, and he proved when the players around him starting playing better that he can play at a very high level and help us win games, so at this point I want Eli back,' Shurmur said. 'He's back.'

Huddle Up: While Shurmur may feel this one, one has to question whether general manager Dave Gettleman will indeed be in agreement when push comes to shove. Cutting Manning would save $17 million against the 2019 salary cap, but there are not any clearly better options available at this time. Presuming Shurmur's words ring true, Eli is a low-end QB2 in 2019. In all likelihood, Manning will begin the year starting under center but give way to a rookie passer at some point in the season.

  • Odell Beckham - WR
    Posted 2/18/19 10:25am ET

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. was sought after by the New England Patriots ahead of the last season's trade deadline, according to NBC's Chris Simms, who reported New England was the team 'most aggressively pursuing' Beckham at that point of time.

Huddle Up: The Patriots obviously settled on Josh Gordon, but his status is such that Beckham could easily be a target of theirs again in 2019. While Gordon may be able to return again at some point in 2019, New England knows it can't count on him for any length of time. The Patriots' biggest need may be an outside receiver, and the prospect of playing the next two to three years with Tom Brady could be too tantalizing for the team to pass up if they are willing to pay the price to get Beckham.

    Posted 2/18/19 8:08pm ET

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. is believed to be a trade target for the San Francisco 49ers this offseason, according to ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio.

Huddle Up: It is not known if Beckham will be available this offseason, but the 49ers likely will look to add a No. 1 receiver during the offseason. Beckham will be a No. 1 fantasy receiver no matter where he plays in 2019.

  • Saquon Barkley - RB
    Posted 2/2/19 6:44pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley was named the 2018 Offensive Rookie of the Year Saturday, Feb. 2.

Huddle Up: Barkley's 2,028 scrimmage yards were the most in the NFL this year and the third most by a rookie back. He also set a record for a rookie running back by catching 91 passes and was one of two players to finish the year with 1,000-plus rushing yards and 700-plus receiving yards. He's in the mix to be the No. 1 overall pick in 2019.

    Posted 1/31/19 9:13am ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley has been named the 2018 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, as decided by an online vote of fans.

Huddle Up: Barkley's fantasy owners certainly should've voted as he finished tops among RBs in PPR scoring and finished second to Todd Gurley in standard leagues. And after also finishing second with 352 total touches, he'll be a legit No. 1-overall pick candidate in re-draft leagues this summer.

  • Eli Manning - QB
    Posted 1/27/19 9:35am ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning is likely to return for another season and help groom his successor, likely a high-round rookie draft pick.

Huddle Up: Despite some elite surrounding weapons, Eli is no longer a viable fantasy starting option as he finished outside of the top 16 fantasy QBs in 2018 for the third straight season. It's time for the Giants to move on and spend a top pick on their QB of the future.

  • Saquon Barkley - RB
    Posted 1/25/19 7:18pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley said he left 'so many' big plays on the field in 2018. 'You're going to leave plays on the field, but you can learn from it and you can get better,' Barkley said.

Huddle Up: Barkley finished his rookie year with 2,028 yards from scrimmage, 15 touchdowns and 91 receptions, so his production didn't exactly suffer because of some missed opportunities. He will likely be a top-five pick in all fantasy formats in 2019.

  • Eli Manning - QB
    Posted 1/24/19 12:23pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning's agent has already said he expects Manning to return to the Giant in 2019, but Spotrac considers it a 'longshot.' He'll cost the Giants $11.2 million in dead cap at 38 years old.

Huddle Up: Manning quietly rebounded last season after a humbling 2017 campaign. Even so, the money and the age are strongly against him. The Giants may try to squeeze another year out of him, but he remains on the fantasy backburner.

  • Eli Manning - QB
    Posted 1/21/19 4:21pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning is expected to return to the Giants next season, according to his agent Tom Condon. Condon said he has not had any talks with the Giants about the possibility of them releasing Manning.

Huddle Up: Manning has thrown for at least 4,000 yards in four of the last five season but has thrown only 40 touchdowns over the last two seasons. The Giants likely will add a quarterback at some point this offseason, but it is not known if Manning will be a starter in 2019. Owners in all leagues probably can avoid Manning even if he is a starting quarterback.

  • Saquon Barkley - RB
    Posted 1/3/19 8:21pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley's 16 rushes of 20-plus yards were five more than any other player in the NFL in 2018.

Huddle Up: Barkley proved to be the total package as a rookie, leading the league in total yards while scoring 15 times and catching 91 passes. Between his heavy workload, versatility and explosiveness, he'll be in the mix to the No. 1 overall pick in fantasy drafts in 2019.

  • Odell Beckham - WR
    Posted 1/2/19 9:11am ET

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. will not be traded this offseason, according to general manager Dave Gettleman.

Huddle Up: Beckham has led a tenuous tenure during his stay in New York. He has performed well on the field, but his polarizing off-field life, injuries and the Giants' failures have spawned trade whispers. Gettleman has abruptly silenced those whispers, but Beckham is an elite wide receiver wherever he plays as long as he's in good health.

  • Eli Manning - QB
    Posted 1/2/19 10:27am ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning's future with the Giants is cloudy as general manager Dave Gettleman was noncommittal on Manning being the starter in 2019. 'I'm committed to making the best decision in the interest of the Giants. We're in the evaluation process,' Gettleman said.

Huddle Up: Manning will have a good game every now and then, but he's far from consistent and clearly one of the weakest links on the offense. Keep him off your 2019 fantasy draft board.

  • Saquon Barkley - RB
    Posted 12/30/18 9:46am ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley needs 114 scrimmage yards in Week 17 on Sunday, Dec. 30, to join Eric Dickerson and Edgerrin James as the only rookie running backs with 2,000 scrimmage yards.

Huddle Up: Barkley is one of the few elite RB1s active and seemingly set for a full workload in Week 17, and with the opposing Dallas Cowboys resting up for the wild-card round of the playoffs, Barkley might be THE RB1 start of the week.

  • Saquon Barkley - RB
    Posted 12/30/18 11:26am ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley recorded his 89th reception of the season during the Week 17 game, which sets the NFL record for most receptions by a running back during their rookie season.

Huddle Up: Barkley has been a big part of the Giants offense this season and should continue to be a focal point in the running and passing game next season. He should be considered a top-five pick in all drafts next season.

  • Eli Manning - QB
    Posted 12/30/18 5:16pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 24-of-41 passes for 301 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the Week 17 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: Manning has one year remaining on his contract, but it's uncertain if he'll return for that final season and retire this offseason. Either way, he has become more of a QB2 for fantasy purposes should be play into 2019.

  • Cody Latimer - WR
    Posted 12/30/18 5:42pm ET

New York Giants WR Cody Latimer ended up with four grabs for 72 yards and a touchdown in the Week 17 game against the Dallas Cowboys on six targets.

Huddle Up: Latimer entered the game with just seven receptions and 118 yards, so don't get too excited about this. We've seen Latimer have big games and work his way up the depth chart before, but he never can see to get over the hump.

  • Sterling Shepard - WR
    Posted 12/30/18 5:39pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard finished with four receptions for 67 yards on nine targets in Week 17 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: Shepard's production was a bit erratic in 2018, but he still turned in 66 catches for 872 yards and four touchdowns. He will always be in the shadow of Odell Beckham Jr. as long as he is healthy, but Shepard can still be a decent WR4 or flex fantasy option in 2019. It would be amazing to see his potential with a little bit better quarterback play.

  • Evan Engram - TE
    Posted 12/30/18 5:32pm ET

New York Giants TE Evan Engram posted five catches for 81 yards and a touchdown on eight targets in the Week 17 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: Engram had a hard time getting starter due to a multitude of injuries, but he got healthy as the season finished and he had 66 or more receiving yards in each of his final five games. Some fantasy owners might have a bitter taste in their mouth from owning him in 2018, so he could come on the cheap in 2019.

  • Saquon Barkley - RB
    Posted 12/30/18 5:28pm ET

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley rushed 17 times for 109 yards and a touchdown in the Week 17 game against the Dallas Cowboys and he added four receptions for 33 yards on eight targets.

Huddle Up: Barkley finished his rookie campaign with 1,307 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns while adding 91 receptions for 721 receiving yards and four more scores. He was everything as advertised in his first season and he'll be a first-round fantasy pick in a majority of leagues in 2019.

  • Odell Beckham - WR
    Posted 12/28/18 8:43am ET

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (quadriceps) is out of practice Friday, Dec. 28, and he's expected to miss the season finale.

Huddle Up: Sterling Shepard came on strong last week and will be a WR3 option against the Dallas Cowboys.

  • Odell Beckham - WR
    Posted 12/28/18 8:55am ET

Updating an earlier report, New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Week 17.

Huddle Up: Sterling Shepard came on strong last week and will be a WR3 option against a Dallas Cowboys squad with little to play for.

  • Odell Beckham - WR
    Posted 12/27/18 9:23am ET

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (quadriceps) will not return to practice Thursday, Dec. 27, according to head coach Pat Shurmur.

Huddle Up: Beckham still has a chance to play this week, but the odds lessen as the week advances without him practicing. He's the kind of player who could take the field without practicing, but the Giants want to keep his long-term health in mind too. As for next year, he remains a top-tier WR1 despite the injury setback.

  • Sterling Shepard - WR
    Posted 12/27/18 11:21am ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (hip) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: The Week 17 value of Shepard hinges on the status of Odell Beckham Jr. If Beckham does not suit up then Shepard has WR2 appeal, although lower expectations since he is facing a tough Indianapolis Colts pass defense.

  • Odell Beckham - WR
    Posted 12/26/18 8:50am ET

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (quadriceps) is not expected to practice Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Huddle Up: There is time, but don't expect OBJ in the finale. Sterling Shepard had a 6-113-0 day last week and could be worth a flyer against a Dallas Cowboys team that is locked into the fourth seed.

  • Sterling Shepard - WR
    Posted 12/26/18 1:07pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (hip) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Huddle Up: It remains to be seen if Odell Beckham Jr. returns, but if he doesn't then Shepard will be the Giants' primary receiving threat yet again. His matchup versus the Dallas Cowboys isn't ideal, but he'd be a WR2 candidate if he plays.

  • Odell Beckham - WR
    Posted 12/26/18 7:50pm ET

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (quadriceps) has a chance to play in the Week 17 game even though he did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 26, according to head coach Pat Shurmur.

Huddle Up: Owners should know more about Beckham's status in the next few days. He is a must-start option when he is healthy, but owners will need other options available if he is ruled out.
