Cleveland Indians 1B Nick Swisher (knees) continues to progress on schedule for a mid-March return to game action, according to manager Terry Francona.
Fantasy Tip: At 34, there is little upside left in Swisher's bat. However, he is still capable of returning value on a late-round investment in mixed drafts. Continue to check his progress through the spring, though.

Cleveland Indians 1B Nick Swisher (knees) is swinging the bat "really well," according to manager Terry Francona, and he could be ready for games by mid-March.
Fantasy Tip: His 2014 season was marred by injuries, but Swisher had eclipsed 20 home runs in his previous nine seasons. He could be worth a flier in traditional mixed leagues as a cheap source of power.

Cleveland Indians 1B Nick Swisher (knees) felt it was important to arrive to spring training early this year after having surgeries on both his knees in the offseason. He has been cleared for full hitting and throwing at camp, and he starting a running program three weeks ago. Swisher's goal is to be ready by opening day, although the Indians plan to monitor his progress this spring in the coming weeks. He hit only .208 with eight home runs and 42 RBI last year in 97 games.
Fantasy Tip: Swisher, because of his injury-riddled 2014 season, is probably a fringe player, at best in traditional 12-team mixed leagues. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him left to the waiver wire to begin the year. However, if he's fully healthy, a rebound could easily be in order.
