Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim DH C.J. Cron was sent to Triple-A Saturday, July 19, to make room for CL Huston Street, according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times. DiGiovanna believes the move is temporary and is in response to the team's need for an extra arm following the 16-inning game Friday, July 18.
Fantasy Tip: Cron should be removed from daily fantasy lineups for now, but don't cut him loose just yet.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and San Diego Padres have reportedly struck a deal Friday, July 18, for RP Huston Street in a 4-for-2 deal, according to a source. The Angels get Street and RP Trevor Gott, while the Padres get P R.J. Alvarez, SS Taylor Lindsey, SS Jose Rondon and another undisclosed minor-league player.
Fantasy Tip: Street is expected to take over closer duties in Anaheim, which will likely bump Joe Smith to a setup role. Street gets a bump in fantasy value pitching for a contender with more frequent save chances, while Smith loses a ton since he'll now likely be in an eighth-inning role picking up holds and not saves. Still, he is worth keeping in AL-only rotisserie formats for help in the ERA and WHIP categories. The prospects in this deal are still years away from having fantasy appeal.

Updating a previous report, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and San Diego Padres are reviewing medical records, according to sources, and a deal for RP Huston Street appears to be getting closer Friday, July 18. The review of medicals usually means talks are in the final stages.
Fantasy Tip: Street is likely to take over the closer role from Joe Smith, and pitching for a contender will give him a few more chances than he would have in San Diego.

San Diego Padres RP Huston Street is close to being traded to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, according to sources.
Fantasy Tip: If Street lands with the Halos, he'd be expected to take over the closing duties from Joe Smith. Street's value would increase significantly, based on the fact that he's playing for a team that'll give him more save chances.

San Diego Padres RP Huston Street is getting close to being traded away by the team, according to sources.
Fantasy Tip: Street's value will fluctuate depending on whether he's traded and where he lands. As a setup man on a new team, he'll lose much of his value, but his peripherals will still be useful in deep leagues. If Street is dealt, Joaquin Benoit will need to be scooped up everywhere. If you have the room now, it's not a bad idea to get the jump on Benoit.

San Diego Padres RP Huston Street expects to be dealt at the trading deadline, and the Padres have communicated with him about being traded.
Fantasy Tip: Street could end up in a setup role with another team, obviously hindering his value. It is worth exploring his trade value within your league.
