Giants | Hunter Pence to start rehab Friday

Fri, 08 May 2015 08:58:53 -0700

San Francisco Giants OF Hunter Pence (forearm) will start a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento Friday, May 8, according to manager Bruce Bochy. However, Bochy isn't estimating when Pence will return from the disabled list after fracturing his left forearm after being hit by a pitch in spring training.

Fantasy Tip: Pence ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) could be as much as a week or two away from returning to make his season debut in 2015, it just depends on how his arm responds to game action. Once he's back, Justin Maxwell ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) and Gregor Blanco ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) will move to bench roles as extra outfielders. You should probably give Pence at least a few games before trusting him at FantasyScore.
