Washington Nationals SP Gio Gonzalez focused on his changeup in his latest spring start in which he allowed one earned run in 4 2/3 innings on three hits, a walk and four strikeouts. Gonzalez said he used the pitch around 30 percent of the time, and he was able to throw it for strikes when needed.

Washington Nationals SP Gio Gonzalez struck out the first five Houston Astros he faced Monday, March 10, but gave up five straight base runners after that, including a two-run homer. Manager Matt Williams didn't sound concerned about the outing, and Gonzalez said his arm is at 100 percent.

Fantasy Tip: Just a rough patch, seemingly, for the southpaw.

Washington Nationals SP Gio Gonzalez was not among the disciplined players that received suspensions for their connections to the Biogenesis scandal. He was originally linked to the Florida clinic that gave performance-enhancing drugs to players. The league's investigation found "no violations of the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program" by Gonzalez. Baltimore Orioles 3B Danny Valencia was another player that committed no violations.
