Toronto Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion (quadriceps) and 1B Adam Lind (foot) may not need to go on rehab assignments before being activated from the 15- day disabled list, according to manager John Gibbons.
Fantasy Tip: There is still no definite timetable for either player, but owners should add them to their starting lineups when they come off the disabled list.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Adam Lind (foot) is no longer wearing a boot on his fractured right foot, according to general manager Alex Anthopoulos.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Adam Lind (foot) received a second opinion on his right foot fracture, which set his timetable for returning at two to three weeks.
Fantasy Tip: Lind's lack of power this season has limited his fantasy impact. He also struggles mightily against left-handed pitching and rarely plays with a lefty on the mound. The timetable seems optimistic. Lind is only worth stashing (outside of a disabled list slot) in AL-only formats and deep mixed leagues.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Adam Lind (foot) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right foot fracture. Toronto recalled 1B Dan Johnson from Triple-A Buffalo and designated RP Bobby Korecky for assignment.
Fantasy Tip: Johnson should be an AL-only asset, at least in a platoon role, and may earn fleeting deep mixed utility. Lind should be out for at least one month.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Adam Lind (foot) has a fracture in his foot, and he's expected to miss six to eight weeks. He will go for a second opinion.
Fantasy Tip: Lind will land on the DL, obviously. He was hitting .320 but with only four homers this season. With Edwin Encarnacion also out, Juan Francisco will likely see the majority of starts at first base. Francisco should already be owned in the majority of leagues.

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Monday, July 7, that OF Cole Gillespie and 1B Adam Lind will be used in a platoon for "the next little while," until someone gets a leg up by getting hot.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion (quadriceps) likely will be placed on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained quadriceps and is expected to miss two to four weeks. The timetable could change based on evaluation over the next few days.
Fantasy Tip: Jose Bautista and Adam Lind may both see time at first base while Encarnacion is out. Darin Mastroianni, Nolan Reimold and Cole Gillespie could be options in the outfield if Bautista spends most of his time at first base. All three probably will be AL-only options at this point.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion (quadriceps) has been diagnosed with a strained quadriceps after he underwent an MRI Sunday, July 6, and there is no timetable with his return. OF Jose Bautista (hamstring) started at first base Sunday and could receive more starts there since it likely would be easier on his injured hamstring. 1B Adam Lind could serve as the designated hitter since he is dealing with a foot injury.
Fantasy Tip: If Bautista spends a majority of his time at first base while Encarnacion is out, Darin Mastroianni, Nolan Reimold and Cole Gillespie could all see time in the outfield. All three likely would be limited be AL-only leagues, but owners looking for speed could consider adding Mastroianni while owners wanting more power could consider Reimold.
