He ranks first in the majors in road home runs and is tied for 10th in homers at home. Cruz has 19 dingers on pitches on the inner half of the plate and 20 home runs on pitches on the outer half of the plate.

Baltimore Orioles OF Nelson Cruz hit two home runs and drove in seven runs in the team's win over the Tampa Bay Rays Sunday, Sept. 7. Cruz now has 39 home runs and 101 RBIs this season. He is the first player in team history with seven RBIs in a game since Luke Scott accomplished the feat in July of 2009. Cruz is also the first player with at least seven RBIs to account for all of the team's runs since Jason Giambi did it for the Colorado Rockies in May of 2011.

Baltimore Orioles DH Nelson Cruz went 0-for-3 with a strikeout Wednesday, Aug. 6, and he has only two hits in his last 38 at-bats. He entered the game with a .438 average in his last four games against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Fantasy Tip: Cruz had a fantastic first half of the season, but since the All-Star break, he's been pretty awful. Can you say negative regression? Anyway, it would be wise to hold Cruz out of your lineups until he can get things going again.

Baltimore Orioles OF Nelson Cruz, who nearly left the game due to cramping in his legs, blasted his 21st homer of the season in the eighth inning Tuesday, June 3. Cruz currently leads the majors in home runs (21) and RBIs (55), and he's hitting .313, which is in the top 10 in the American League.
