Buccaneers | Vincent Jackson may see time in slot

Sun, 21 Jun 2015 11:35:32 -0700

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson could line up in the slot at times this season.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson should be on the field most of the time but could create a favorable matchup if he lines up as a slot receiver. Jackson finished last season with 1,002 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Jackson could be a solid option in the middle rounds of drafts this season.

Buccaneers | Players comfortable with TB offense

Mon, 08 Jun 2015 13:53:51 -0700

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston and WRs Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans are becoming acclimated to offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter's offense. The three players said they've become more comfortable with the offense and now need to learn more of the terminology that comes with it.

Fantasy Tip: Evans and Jackson may take some time to get used to Koetter's offense and a new rookie quarterback, but from a season-long perspective Evans and Jackson should be drafted as a WR1 and WR2, respectively. Winston should be drafted as a backup fantasy quarterback.

Buccaneers | Vincent Jackson lining up everywhere

Mon, 08 Jun 2015 06:15:39 -0700

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson is lining up in multiple spots in offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter's offense. "Dirk is having some fun moving me around and playing me in multiple places, and it's been fun for me, too,'' Jackson said. "It's fun to play inside (in the slot) and outside, to be able stretch the field and cross the field. "That's what's good about this system. We're going to put the ball all over the place. The (running) backs, the tight ends, everybody's going to be involved and that should make it fun for all of us."

Fantasy Tip: V-Jax had a 70-1,002-2 season in what was his least productive campaign in five years. He's 32, and his yard per catch has declined two years in a row, so don't expect a large rebound. We could see a few more TDs, though. He's a solid WR3 in fantasy.

Buccaneers | Vincent Jackson not asked for pay cut

Sat, 28 Feb 2015 12:07:11 -0800

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson was not asked to take a pay cut this season, despite a previous report that he had been asked to do so. Jackson is still expected to return this season.

Fantasy Tip: At this point, the Buccaneers are fully expected to draft Florida State QB Jameis Winston with the No. 1 overall pick. Jackson's fantasy value took a hit last season with the breakout of Mike Evans, but he could be better off with a new face at quarterback, especially since he only scored twice in 2014.

Buccaneers | Vincent Jackson won't take cut?

Fri, 27 Feb 2015 20:46:46 -0800

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson will not take a pay cut, according to a source, but Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com believes Jackson will be back with Tampa Bay in 2015 regardless.

Fantasy Tip: Poor quarterback play and the emergence of Mike Evans took a toll on Jackson's production last year, but he still managed 1,002 receiving yards. His two touchdowns left a lot to be desired, but Jackson could still be a WR3 this season, especially if the Buccaneers address their quarterback issue with the No. 1 pick.

Buccaneers | Vincent Jackson remaining in Tampa

Wed, 18 Feb 2015 13:12:40 -0800

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson will return in 2015, according to general manager Jason Licht. Licht said he will meet with Jackson's agent during the NFL Combine this week, and he will likely request to restructure Jackson's $9.77 million salary.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson is 32 with an uncertain situation at quarterback. His 70-1,002-2 season was his worst since 2010, and it's fair to assume he's on the decline. We're looking at him as a WR3 in fantasy.

Buccaneers | Vincent Jackson playing

Sun, 09 Nov 2014 08:44:19 -0800

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (knee) is active Sunday, Nov. 9, for Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: V-Jax ($5,900; 11.8% of your cap) is worth consideration on FantasyScore today. However, he has had a down year, and we'd consider looking elsewhere. Mike Evans ($5,200; 10.4%) benefits from Jackson's presence.

Buccaneers | Vincent Jackson questionable

Fri, 07 Nov 2014 13:22:23 -0800

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 7, and is questionable for the team's Week 10 game.

Fantasy Tip: The fact that Jackson practiced in full is a great sign for his availability this week. Still, he is a bit of a risky play in FantasyScore if he is not at full strength.

Buccaneers | Vincent Jackson limited

Thu, 06 Nov 2014 14:39:02 -0800

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson ($5,900, 11.8%) has a tendency of not practicing or being limited later in the week but still being able to play. Still, it's safe to keep tabs on his status leading up to Sunday.
