Free-agent DT Richard Seymour (Raiders) has received interest from the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons but has not agreed to a deal at this point. He said he is open to signing with a contending team by Week 10 if it is a situation he and his wife agree on. Seymour was never able to come close to a financial agreement with the 49ers when they expressed interest.

Free-agent DT Richard Seymour (Raiders) said he doesn't have any regrets about his career and would be fine with retiring if he isn't signed by a team this offseason. Seymour said he could have signed with a team if he wanted to by now, but he'll only do so if he receives the right offer. The Atlanta Falcons are closely tied to his services.

The Atlanta Falcons are in no rush to sign free-agent DT Richard Seymour (Raiders), and the two sides have "nothing at this point." Last week it was reported that the Falcons were the team most interested in Seymour. He is considering retirement, though, so he won't come back cheaply.

Updating previous reports, the Atlanta Falcons could be waiting until June 1 to sign free-agent DL Richard Seymour (Raiders). They have just $1.8 million in cap space, but that will rise to $6.3 once OL Tyson Clabo's salary comes off the books June 1.
