New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 30, and is probable for the Super Bowl.

Patriots | Tom Brady practices fully Thursday

Thu, 29 Jan 2015 19:15:22 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) was able to go through a full practice session Thursday, Jan. 29.

Fantasy Tip: Brady will play against the Seahawks, but you might be better off going with Russell Wilson in FantasyScore when choosing a starting signal caller. Brady faces a much more difficult matchup against the Legion of Boom. Of course, he also has a better corps of receivers, including Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski.

Wed, 28 Jan 2015 17:04:42 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) practiced in full Wednesday, Jan. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Brady is also battling a cold, but he'll be just fine for Super Bowl Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. He should be a solid play at FantasyScore for $7,777 (15.55% of cap).

Patriots | Tom Brady fighting a cold

Wed, 28 Jan 2015 09:29:15 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (illness) admitted that he is currently battling a cold, but he said he expects to be 100% ready for the Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 1. "I've had it for four to five days, my kids got sick and my wife's pretty sick right now," Brady said. "I brought it, unfortunately, to Phoenix, but I'll be fine. I'll be good." Brady is focused on rest and eating plenty of garlic, which he said is one of his "old remedies."

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($7,777, 15.55% of cap) will be fine for the big game, and this shouldn't influence your decision to select him for your FantasyScore lineup this Sunday.

Patriots | Tom Brady said he feels perfect

Tue, 27 Jan 2015 16:13:32 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady has publicly stated he'd like to play well into his 40s and feels perfect after playing his 15th season, but his father Tom Brady Sr. believes it won't end well with the Patriots. The younger Brady is under contract through 2017, although he'll turn 40 years old prior to that season. Brady has publicly said he plans on playing until he's 43 or 44. The 37-year-old quarterback is scheduled to make $12 million in 2015, $8 million in 2016 and $9 million in 2017. His father thinks his son's determination to keep playing won't go over well with the Patriots' brass. "It will end badly," Brady Sr. told New York Times Magazine. "It does end badly. And I know that because I know what Tommy wants to do. He wants to play 'til he's 70. ... It's a cold business. And for as much as you want it to be familial, it isn't."

Fantasy Tip: Even at 37, Brady didnít show any signs of slowing down. While fantasy owners do assume some risk when drafting aging quarterbacks, Bradyís commitment to his well-being rule out some of that risk. He should be considered a midrange starting fantasy quarterback until he proves otherwise.

Patriots | Tom Brady clutch late in postseason

Mon, 26 Jan 2015 13:36:32 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady has led eight playoff game-winning drives in the fourth quarter or overtime in his career, more than any other player.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($7,777, 15.55%) has seen his fair share of postseason success, but he's still a risky option going up against what was arguably the best pass defense in the NFL this season in the Seattle Seahawks. Russell Wilson might be a better option on FantasyScore at $4,444 (8.89% of cap).

Patriots | Tom Brady improved out of pocket

Sat, 24 Jan 2015 19:48:20 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady completed 12 of his 24 pass attempts on scramble plays outside of the pocket this year for 198 yards and two scores. Last year, he was 0-of-4 on similar plays.

Fantasy Tip: Brady's success on scrambling plays could come in handy in the Super Bowl against the Seahawks' tough defense. Fantasy owners should feel comfortable starting him over Russell Wilson ($4,444, 8.89% of cap) at FantasyScore.

Patriots | Tom Brady probable for Super Bowl

Fri, 23 Jan 2015 14:54:51 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) practiced in full for the third straight day Friday, Jan. 23, and is probable for the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($7,777, 15.55% of cap) is facing a tough Seahawks defense in the Super Bowl. However, after seeing what Aaron Rodgers was able to do against them last weekend on a hobbled leg, it's safe to say that Brady will remain a fine choice as your FantasyScore QB over Russell Wilson.

Patriots | Tom Brady a full participant

Thu, 22 Jan 2015 16:52:48 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) participated fully in practice Thursday, Jan. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($7,777, 15.55%) has been solid all season, but the Seahawks are a different animal when it comes to defending the pass. The Patriots could again rely heavily on LeGarrette Blount and the running game, making Brady a risky option at a high price on FantasyScore.

Patriots | Tom Brady could come under fire

Thu, 22 Jan 2015 07:05:54 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady is now scheduled to speak to the media Thursday, Jan. 22, and he could come under fire due to the report of deflated footballs in the AFC Championship game. Head coach Bill Belichick denied any involvement in the issue, and Brady will likely have to answer questions on the situation.

Fantasy Tip: Looking ahead, Brady ($7,777; 15.5% of your cap) has a stiffer matchup than Russell Wilson ($4,444; 8.8%) for the Super Bowl on FantasyScore. However, Richard Sherman (elbow) and Earl Thomas' (shoulder) health could swing the matchup pendulum back into Brady's favor.

Patriots | Tom Brady a full go

Wed, 21 Jan 2015 10:35:25 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Jan. 21. The team did not practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Tip: Brady will play in the Super Bowl, but it is not a good matchup against a Seattle defense that is great against the pass. While Brady is still a starting option, temper your expectations here.

Patriots | Tom Brady won't play in Pro Bowl

Mon, 19 Jan 2015 18:16:34 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady will not play in the 2015 Pro Bowl, and he will be replaced by Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan.

Fantasy Tip: The decision is not surprising with the Patriots reaching the Super Bowl. Brady tossed 33 touchdowns this year, and he has shown he can be counted on for solid production regardless of his supporting cast.

Patriots | Tom Brady sets playoff record

Mon, 19 Jan 2015 09:16:41 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady became the NFL's all-time leading passer in the playoffs in the win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 18. Brady passed Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning at 6,800 passing yards for the top spot by going 23-for-35 for 226 passing yards and three touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip: After a rough start to the season, Brady turned things around after Rob Gronkowski proved to be fully healthy, and he showed that he can still be a QB1 for fantasy football owners. Brady will surely slow down eventually, but he may have another year worthy of QB1 numbers in 2015.

Patriots | Tom Brady listed as probable

Fri, 16 Jan 2015 13:34:04 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 16, and is listed as probable for the AFC Championship game.

Fantasy Tip: Brady accounted for four touchdowns during the team's Divisional Round playoff win and has a good chance to continue his solid play against the Indianapolis Colts. Brady costs $8,600 (17.2% of the cap) on FantasyScore and should be an attractive option for owners.

Patriots | Tom Brady practices in full

Thu, 15 Jan 2015 14:03:28 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Jan. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($8,600, 17.2% of cap) is just behind Andrew Luck at FantasyScore this weekend. Brady remains an excellent daily play for the AFC Championship because of his aerial weapons and the fact that the Indianapolis Colts' secondary has been a weak spot at times this season.

Patriots | Tom Brady a full participant

Wed, 14 Jan 2015 13:16:15 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Jan. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($8,600, 17.2%) will cost a pretty penny as usual on FantasyScore this week, but he has a nice matchup at home against the Indianapolis Colts, who gave up 27 passing touchdowns to quarterbacks this year.

Patriots | Tom Brady lethal on quick throws late

Mon, 12 Jan 2015 08:00:44 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady was 16-for-16 for 148 yards and two touchdowns in the second half of the AFC divisional-round playoff game Sunday, Jan. 11, when he threw the ball within 2 seconds of the snap.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($8,600; 17.2% of your cap) is a solid QB1 option on FantasyScore this week.

Patriots | Tom Brady comes up big

Sat, 10 Jan 2015 17:25:11 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady threw 50 times for 367 yards and three scores in a 35-31 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional-round playoff game Saturday, Jan. 10. He also ran for a touchdown and threw an interception.

Fantasy Tip: The Patriots were playing from behind for most of the game, but Brady was able to carve up a banged up Baltimore secondary to lead the comeback. Brady will face either Indianapolis or Denver in the conference title game, and considering he torched both teams during the regular season, he could make a strong play at FantasyScore again next weekend.

Patriots | Tom Brady probable against Ravens

Fri, 09 Jan 2015 13:16:33 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) practiced in full for the third straight day Friday, Jan. 9, and is probable for the divisional round game against the Baltimore Ravens Saturday, Jan. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) has a daunting task of going up against a strong Ravens pass rush in freezing temperatures. Although the Baltimore secondary has been bad at times this year, they've stiffened up late in the year. Don't automatically expect Brady to slice them up all day.

Patriots | Tom Brady has struggled against four-man rush

Thu, 08 Jan 2015 15:43:06 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady is 74-for-132 for 713 yards, three touchdowns and seven interceptions in three career playoff games against the Baltimore Ravens. "It's the same coordinator, so a lot of the scheme stuff you see how he tried to defend us back then," Brady relayed. "I think the more information, the better." Brady has completed only 50.2% of his passes with all seven of the interceptions against a four-man rush from the Ravens in those games. When Baltimore brought five or more rushers, Brady completed 77.8% of his passes with a touchdown and no interceptions.

Fantasy Tip: Past playoff experience won't have much of a factor in the outcome of this game. However, Baltimore continues to have a strong pass rush that could keep Brady ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) from staying comfortable in the pocket. That could negate the fact that the Ravens' secondary has been mostly subpar this season.

Patriots | Tom Brady practices fully

Thu, 08 Jan 2015 14:13:28 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) had a full practice Thursday, Jan. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($8,000) doesn't have the best matchup facing the Baltimore Ravens and is highly priced on FantasyScore. He might be best left out of lineups, especially if Julian Edelman doesn't play or is limited.

Patriots | Tom Brady excels in cold weather

Thu, 08 Jan 2015 13:39:20 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady is 44-7 in his career when the temperature is under 40 degrees. The projected temperature for the team's game against the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round Saturday, Jan. 10, is a high of 21 degrees.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) is the fourth most expensive quarterback this weekend at FantasyScore. That doesn't necessarily make him a steal, though. Beware: The Ravens have a strong pass rush that could make it a difficult statistical day for Tom Terrific.

Patriots | Tom Brady a full participant

Wed, 07 Jan 2015 13:05:29 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) participated fully in practice Wednesday, Jan. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($8,000) is a bit pricy on FantasyScore this week against a mediocre pass defense. If Julian Edelman plays, Brady is still worth a shot. The Baltimore Ravens were fifth in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game to quarterbacks.

Patriots | Tom Brady restructures deal

Mon, 29 Dec 2014 13:41:53 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady restructured his contract to give the team $24 million more to spend during the winter. Brady changed the contract so that he will only be paid the $24 million if he were to be injured, instead of the money being guaranteed. This restructure could potentially help the Patriots re-sign players like CB Darrelle Revis and RB Shane Vereen.

Fantasy Tip: While Brady's playoff opponent isn't yet known, he'll be a viable starting option on FantasyScore no matter who he's playing. He was a top 12 fantasy quarterback this year, throwing 33 touchdowns and just nine interceptions.

Patriots | Tom Brady taken out of game

Sun, 28 Dec 2014 11:55:22 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady was taken out of the game at the start of the second half of the team's Week 17 game. Brady was replaced by QB Jimmy Garoppolo.

Fantasy Tip: The game did not affect the Patriots' playoff positioning, so Brady was taken out so he can be healthy for the playoffs. Brady has played very well this season and should be an attractive starting option on FantasyScore during the playoffs.

Patriots | Tom Brady could play a half

Sat, 27 Dec 2014 13:42:06 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady could play as much as one half Sunday, Dec. 28, in the opinion of beat writer Ben Volin.

Fantasy Tip: Jimmy Garoppolo will face a tough defense, for possibly a half, with backups in the game. You should avoid both Pats QBs on FantasyScore.

Patriots | Tom Brady listed as probable

Fri, 26 Dec 2014 14:58:24 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 26, and is listed as probable for Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: Brady may start the team's Week 17 game, but there is a good chance that he will be pulled early in the game since the team has the No. 1 playoff spot secured. Owners probably should be able to find better options to use at quarterback.

Patriots | Tom Brady practices in full

Thu, 25 Dec 2014 13:58:21 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 25. The Patriots did not practice Thursday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Tip: Brady may be the starting quarterback for Week 17, but he is expected to only see limited playing time since the team has already clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Brady probably is not a great option for owners on FantasyScore because of his uncertain playing time.

Patriots | Tom Brady likely to be pulled early

Thu, 25 Dec 2014 07:32:46 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady is likely to be removed from the Week 17 game early. The team has clinched home-field advantage, and beat writer Mike Reiss believes the team will pull Brady after the offense exhibits a rhythm against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: Avoid Brady on FantasyScore this week because it doesn't make much sense to play him very long, if at all.

Patriots | Full practice for Tom Brady

Wed, 24 Dec 2014 14:34:47 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Dec. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Brady might play some in the regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills, but it is a difficult matchup against a good defense and pass rush, and the team is likely to play it safe and limit his playing time to preserve him for the playoffs. The team has nothing to gain since they have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs already in the bag. FantasyScore owners will want to shy away from TB12.

Patriots | Tom Brady near roster guarantee

Wed, 24 Dec 2014 05:51:17 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady is due $24 million fully guaranteed from 2015-17 if he's on the team's roster Saturday, Dec. 27, at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Fantasy Tip: Let's count on that happening. Brady is a risky start on FantasyScore this week. The team has clinched home-field advantage and face a tough defense in the Buffalo Bills. There is very little incentive for Brady to play much in Week 17.

Patriots | Tom Brady doesn't want rest

Tue, 23 Dec 2014 10:48:22 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady would prefer to play in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills despite having already locked up a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs. "There's a lot of guys that could probably use a little time off," Brady said. "But at the same time, this is football season and you play through whatever you got and you deal with those things when your season ends. All those things are coach's decisions. I want us to go out and win, that's what I want. I don't care about resting. I want to go out there and try to kick some butt. That's what I want to do." Brady was sacked four times and was 23-for-35 for just 182 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Week 16 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Despite Brady's wishes, the ultimate decision will come down to Bill Belichick as to whether Brady and the rest of his offensive weapons are rested against the Bills. Even if Brady starts, there's a good chance he won't finish out the game, making him a player to avoid at FantasyScore this weekend.

Fri, 19 Dec 2014 14:16:19 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) practiced in full for the third straight day Friday, Dec. 19, and is probable for Week 16 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Play Brady with confidence at FantasyScore this week for $8,300. He had a solid game against them earlier this year, and the Jets remain one of the more vulnerable secondaries against quarterbacks.

Wed, 17 Dec 2014 13:28:58 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Brady is expensive at FantasyScore ($8,300), but it's justified. He's going against a weak New York Jets secondary - one that he threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns against in their first meeting this year. Play him with confidence.

Patriots | Tom Brady shaky vs. Miami

Sat, 13 Dec 2014 23:19:30 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady has not been at his best versus the Miami Dolphins in recent years. Since a monster 2011 Week 1 game, in which he threw for 517 yards and four touchdowns, Brady has thrown more than one touchdown pass just twice in six outings and has not topped 300 yards in four of those games.

Fantasy Tip: Brady primarily struggles in Miami, but last year the managed just 116 yards and a single touchdown pass at Gillette Stadium versus the Dolphins. He is a low-end QB1 in Week 15 and a bit steep at $8,400 (16.8%) on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: The San Diego Chargers, Brady's Week 14 opponent, actually ranks seventh in the NFL against the pass by allowing just 221.6 yards per game. While it appears to be an unfavorable matchup, San Diego has still allowed 20 passing touchdowns in 12 games while allowing 36 pass plays of 20 or more yards and only sacking the opposing quarterback 18 times. Brady has a favorable matchup and is a good play in FantasyScore at $8,400 (or 16.8 percent of the cap).

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Brady appears to be ready for battle in what is likely to be a shootout with the Indianapolis Colts. While he does cost a pretty penny ($8,600) on FantasyScore, the investment could be well worth it.

Wed, 12 Nov 2014 14:04:31 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Brady has been on a great run and should continue to play well as long as his receivers stay healthy. Brady is an expensive option on FantasyScore at $8,600 but should be a good option if owners are willing to spend the money.
