The Chicago Bears signed PK Robbie Gould to a four-year, $15 million extension Friday, Dec. 27, that includes over $9 million in guaranteed money.

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (ankle), LB Lance Briggs (shoulder) and FS Anthony Walters (groin) have been ruled out for Week 13. DT Stephen Paea (toe), DT Jeremiah Ratliff (groin), FS Derrick Martin (hamstring) and SS Major Wright (hamstring) are listed as questionable. PK Robbie Gould (illness) is listed as probable. Paea and Ratliff fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 29. Martin and Wright were limited during practice while the other players did not participate in practice.

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould had three extra points in the Week 1 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and he set a franchise record with a 58-yard field goal.
Fantasy Tip: Dating back to 2011, Gould has converted 11 straight field goals from 50-plus yards. He remains a must-start fantasy option going forward.

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (leg) underwent surgery this offseason to repair a ruptured semitendinosus tendon in his left leg. He is about three weeks away from getting medically cleared to resume kicking without restrictions.

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (leg) was at last week's mini-camp, but he did not kick. Gould welcomes the challenge presented when the team signed PK Austin Signor. "I'm excited about it, I really am," Gould said. "Competition is healthy, at every position, and it only makes all the players better. Hopefully I can learn a little bit from Austin, and he can learn a little bit from me. This is exactly what the Bears are supposed to do. All good organizations create competition. It's healthy. I'm looking forward to it. Competition brings out the best in everybody."

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (calf) missed the first day of voluntary minicamp. While he is still not fully recovered from a late-season calf injury, he said things are progressing. "Rehab is going well," Gould said Tuesday, April 16. "I've spent a lot of time this offseason getting healthy, and I'm getting close. I've got probably a couple of more weeks."

Carolina Panthers OT J'Marcus Webb, DE Corey Wootton, FS Major Wright and PK Robbie Gould will receive increased 2013 base salaries because of incentives in their contracts. Gould's salary will go from $2.325 million to $2.425 million while the other three players will go from $630,000 to $1.323 million.
