Bears | Robbie Gould won't play again

Fri, 19 Dec 2014 13:40:22 -0800

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (quadriceps) did not practice for the third time this week Friday, Dec. 19, and he has been ruled out in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Tip: Jay Feely ($2,300) will continue to take over the kicking duties with Gould out. Feely is a cheap FantasyScore option as a kicker, however, the Bears offense doesn't inspire confidence and isn't likely to give Feely many chances at field goals. Look elsewhere for your daily booter.

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (quadriceps) is questionable for Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: Gould plays Monday night so he does have a little more time to rest. Still, might be a better option to go with another kicker who is healthier and isn't an injury risk for your FantasyScore squad.

Thu, 11 Dec 2014 15:11:48 -0800

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (quadriceps) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 11.

Bears | Robbie Gould has rare FG attempt

Sun, 16 Nov 2014 13:50:13 -0800

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould booted three extra points in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings, and he misfired on a 47-yard field goal try, his only attempt of the game. It was his first field goal attempt since Oct. 12, and at home it has been more than a month since he even attempted a field goal.

Fantasy Tip: Gould has been a solid fantasy kicker in the past, but he is just not getting enough opportunities to warrant a roster spot in most leagues. For FantasyScore, he has been virtually useless lately.

Bears | Brandon Marshall unhappy with QB

Sun, 19 Oct 2014 15:09:39 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall called out QB Jay Cutler in a heated locker room discussion after the team's Week 7 loss against the Miami Dolphins, a source said Sunday, Oct. 19. The source said there "are some very selfish individuals in the locker room." But it's not out of the ordinary for Marshall to strongly voice his opinion to Cutler, as the two are close friends off the field. Marshall also reportedly yelled at PK Robbie Gould.

Fantasy Tip: The argument shouldn't affect fantasy values any, and it is just part of football, competition and losing. If the Bears won this game, obviously things would be just fine.

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould was critical of the condition of the field at Soldier Field during the team's Week 10 game and indicated the field could be a factor when deciding to re-sign with the team when his contract is up. "If those are the [field] conditions we've got to play in, I just have to adjust, and obviously those are the type of situations you look for in re-signing with teams," Gould said. "I have a year left on my contract. I hope to stay a Bear. And those will be situations that I'm going to take into [consideration]. I don't know if I want to deal with that as I get older as a kicker."

I think at the end of the day, when you get a group of people in the rooms working like they're working to get a deal done, a settlement will be reached and we will be playing football. It's just as to what date we're going to be back and when."
