Free-agent PK Robbie Gould (Giants) agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers Thursday, March 9.
Fantasy Tip: Aside from three missed extra points, Gould had a pristine showing with the Giants this past season, making all ten of his field goal attempts. However, now that he's on the 49ers, which houses one of the worst offenses in all of football, it's hard to recommend him for any format going into Week 1.

New York Giants impending free-agent PK Robbie Gould intends to test the free-agent market.
Fantasy Tip: Gould was a perfect 12-for-12 in FGAs last year and made 21 of 24 extra points. He could be a mid-tier kicker on a high-scoring offense.
Thu, 20 Oct 2016 17:40:37 -0700
The New York Giants signed free-agent PK Robbie Gould (Bears) on Thursday, Oct. 20.
Fantasy Tip: Bears fans who wish Gould were still their kicker are likely kicking themselves right now. By signing Gould, the Giants have sent a message that PK Josh Brown's domestic violence situation could be pretty serious. Gould can be a reliable kicker, but it may be safe to give him a week or two to get acclimated.

Free-agent PKs Robbie Gould (Bears) and Kai Forbath (Saints) will work out for the Dallas Cowboys because PK Dan Bailey (back) is dealing with an injury, according to sources.
Fantasy Tip: Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see if Bailey will miss any time because of the injury. Owners will be able to find other kickers if they need one.

Tue, 05 Apr 2016 22:53:26 -0700
Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould is looking to add a few pounds for the 2016 season, and he is eating junk good trying to achieve his goal. "I just know that putting on weight for me is difficult and I'm not a junk food eater," Gould said Tuesday, April 5. He is hoping the added weight will mean added strength.
Fantasy Tip: Gould had a poor year by his standards, and he is likely to go undrafted in most fantasy leagues in 2016. However, if he is able to bounce back and perform to his capabilities, and the added weight helps, he could be a decent waiver wire addition when the season begins.
Sun, 13 Dec 2015 15:23:54 -0800
Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould missed his sixth field goal of the season Sunday, Dec. 13, in a 24-21 loss to the Washington Redskins.
Fantasy Tip: In his defense, the field goal Gould missed was from 50 yards out. However, you have to be concerned if you own Gould in your fantasy league. He's clearly struggling right now and should be avoided.
Sun, 06 Dec 2015 15:31:26 -0800
Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould had two field goals early in the game Sunday, Dec. 6, against the San Francisco 49ers. He then missed two key kicks, including one that would have won the game.
Fantasy Tip: Gould won't likely lose his job over this, but these struggles do raise some concern. If you're in a league with kickers, you might want to look elsewhere for now as it appears Gould has a case of the yips.

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (illness) will play in Week 10 against the St. Louis Rams after being removed from the team's injury report.

Thu, 12 Nov 2015 14:19:15 -0800
Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (illness) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 12, after missing practice Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Wed, 11 Nov 2015 15:30:47 -0800
Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (illness) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Sun, 01 Nov 2015 09:37:18 -0800
Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould is a player that contending teams has shown interest in acquiring before the trade deadline, according to sources.

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (quadriceps) did not practice for the third time this week Friday, Dec. 19, and he has been ruled out in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions.
Fantasy Tip: Jay Feely ($2,300) will continue to take over the kicking duties with Gould out. Feely is a cheap FantasyScore option as a kicker, however, the Bears offense doesn't inspire confidence and isn't likely to give Feely many chances at field goals. Look elsewhere for your daily booter.
Thu, 18 Dec 2014 13:44:02 -0800

Fri, 12 Dec 2014 14:21:33 -0800

Thu, 11 Dec 2014 15:11:48 -0800
Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould (quadriceps) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 11.

Chicago Bears PK Robbie Gould booted three extra points in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings, and he misfired on a 47-yard field goal try, his only attempt of the game. It was his first field goal attempt since Oct. 12, and at home it has been more than a month since he even attempted a field goal.
Fantasy Tip: Gould has been a solid fantasy kicker in the past, but he is just not getting enough opportunities to warrant a roster spot in most leagues. For FantasyScore, he has been virtually useless lately.
Sun, 19 Oct 2014 15:09:39 -0700
Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall called out QB Jay Cutler in a heated locker room discussion after the team's Week 7 loss against the Miami Dolphins, a source said Sunday, Oct. 19. The source said there "are some very selfish individuals in the locker room." But it's not out of the ordinary for Marshall to strongly voice his opinion to Cutler, as the two are close friends off the field. Marshall also reportedly yelled at PK Robbie Gould.
Fantasy Tip: The argument shouldn't affect fantasy values any, and it is just part of football, competition and losing. If the Bears won this game, obviously things would be just fine.

Hopefully I can learn a little bit from Austin, and he can learn a little bit from me. This is exactly what the Bears are supposed to do. All good organizations create competition. It's healthy. I'm looking forward to it. Competition brings out the best in everybody."

"If those are the [field] conditions we've got to play in, I just have to adjust, and obviously those are the type of situations you look for in re-signing with teams," Gould said. "I have a year left on my contract. I hope to stay a Bear. And those will be situations that I'm going to take into [consideration]. I don't know if I want to deal with that as I get older as a kicker."

"We're not going to miss the season," Gould said. "The players want to get a settlement done, but they're not going to take an unfair settlement. And if we miss a season, that's really unfortunate. I think at the end of the day, when you get a group of people in the rooms working like they're working to get a deal done, a settlement will be reached and we will be playing football. It's just as to what date we're going to be back and when."
